I will be hosting a mini-quest contest. What is a mini-quest? Thanks for asking :D hackers will have 2 weeks to make the best hack they can. You may work either solo or with a group. Both solo hacks and groups hacks will be judged together. Your hack can have gyms or just a mini story with a new region or a recycle of a real region. Basically the only rule is that no roms will be accepted after the cutoff date. Also please do not submit a hack you have been working on for a while I want all hacks to be new. You can include anything you think will make hack better such as DNS pokemon from new regions fakemon new maps etc. The initial contest will run from June 19th to July 3rd. The top 3 hacks will be given an extra 3 weeks to finish/improve their hack and resubmit it and then 1 hack will be crowned winner.

This is a great idea for small hackers to practice their hacking skills.I don't know if I will do this but if I do would I submit my hack here in the Beginners Lounge or privately to you

I'm not sure if this will work very well. It will probably go okay as part of the Get-Together which I saw you applied for, since it feels more "official'' and more people will notice, even though a week isn't a very long time to make a small hack, though that depends on the length of this "mini-quest". Two weeks is an okay amount of time for a small project, though the next three weeks for the top three seems too long. For example if I were to take part in this I'd just work on it for two weeks, and if it was selected in the top three I wouldn't want to work on it anymore, maybe a week at most just to polish things up. Though I think it'd be better if you picked the top three and then put up a poll so that all members can also participate and vote for their favorite instead, similar to how Hack of the Month works, but that's up to you.

It'd also help if you set rules on the length of this mini-quest and maybe some rules on its context to keep things fair, for example, a typical pokémon game with one or two gyms, or a short story taking place on an island. Good luck with this, if it goes well us moderators might consider making an official contest like this one as it's been suggested before. ^_^
