Hello! I'm LassLynx, but everyone calls me Lynx, so I hope you will as well. :)

I started playing Pokemon when I was around 9, starting with Ylw/Red/Blue of course. I think I made it as far as LeafGreen. Then I took a long hiatus from the games after I lost my Gameboy XP in a move and then didn't pick it back up until just recently. Um, I haven't ever gotten a Pokemon to 100, though, and I have never completed a Pokedex, though both are on my bucketlist. Oh! I'm also a 22-year-old Culinary Arts student.

I don't really have a single favorite Pokemon, but I tend to favor Pokemon that I feel are aesthetically pleasing. Yes, I'm that type of girl. Currently, I am playing Pokemon SoulSilver, Pokemon Black, and Pokemon Black v2. I would like to make friends that I can battle and trade with, since my husband is the only real life person I know who also plays.

Um, I haven't used the GTS a whole lot, nor have I done much in the way of random matches either. I'm kinda afraid that I will get stomped, hehe.

I hope that I can make many friends on here that I can trade, battle, and just chitchat and have fun with!

Hey Lynx! :D You have certainly been into pokemon for a long time. Same here. :D red/blue/yellow where my first played also :D Oups I got little sidetracked... :D Welcome to PC! Im sure youll find many new friends here. :D Most people in the black/white hg/ss forums are eager to fight and trade. :D (according to my snooping around) Im sure youll fit into the community just fine. If you need help, talk or something do vm or pm me. :D I hope you have a blast here.

Heya Lynx, welcome to PC! Can't believe I almost missed your thread.

I'm sorry you lost your gameboy; that would have devastated me if I was younger. ): But it is wonderful to hear you're playing Pokemon again - completing the 'dex and getting Pokemon to lv. 100 will take some time, so it'll be fun to play and work towards achieving those goals. You should stop by our Trade Corner and Battle Center sections for all things trade and battle-related. They're both popular areas of the site and seem to attract many new members so that makes it all the more easy to find people to connect with. though most of our battles are done over the Pokemon Showdown server rather than WiFi.. but I suppose it's because not all of us have our perfect teams and an actual WiFi connection (like myself, ugh).

Aha I don't think we have a lingo thread, but I'm sure you can ask in the appropriate Quick Questions thread in the section of the game you're playing! So, for example, if you have questions on Black/White 2, you'd make a post in the BW2 Quick Questions thread. They're very useful threads so do take them to your advantage anytime. :D
