Ok, maybe it's just me who thinks it's unfair.

I made this cool program, an whole write from scratch compiler/decompiler for the editing rom script - fully compatible with the existing rubikon program and totally free. No spam intended. I went into the rtom hacking section and tried to create a new thread for it, telling people about it and pointing them to the website... And it need a website. The program comes in two parts and there's all kinds of documentation on the website that needs to be looked at to use the program properly. Only nobody will let me post it.

I knew when I made the thread that there were rules about posting links before X number of posts so I specifically PM'd the mod Jeremy... I told him I knew about the rules, tried to explain the situation and gave him the link so he could review it.. His exact reply was:

would be better if you put the program in the post, sweetie. The program is pretty good, and I like the GUI, but still sweetie, it would be nicer if ya included the program or the link to it, within the post, okie? ^^;

Now I know he hadn't intended the comment to sound so condescending but it does. I've tried to PM him back but he wont respond and the nature of the program (as well as the nature of the files) makes it impossible for me to do as he asks...
Anyhow, since I'd been point blank refused the right to make a new thread and nobody wants to discuss this I went into an existing thread on a similar topic and tried to make my thread there only now it apears that all my posts are being deleted almost immediately after I make them. Like I've been banned or something...

I'm trying to follow the rules, I swear. But nobody seams willing to discuss this and what I'm being asked to do just won't work...

Please, somebody at least talk to me about this??

Two things I have to say to you about this matter:

1. Posting something about your program, in a tutorial thread, counts as spam, as it is in no way related to the thread.

2. As you might know, the Toolbox is under thread moderation. That means, that a Moderator will have to approve the thread you posted.
If that doesn't happen, then you can be sure that it either does not fit the standards of said forum, or the Moderators did not have the time yet to look in there and approve it.

What you can do? Either make a new thread, changing the way of presenting it, or wait for the Moderators to get online and have a look. They're no robots that're online 24/7, and they have lifes, so a day or two might pass until they can get to it.


As for your thread, you did not provide any URL, neither of the homepage, nor of the program where you can download it.
That is essential for a Tool thread, which is most likely the reason why yours did not get approved. If you are not able to post links yet, how about attaching it?

I think you could always ask someone else with more posts to make the thread for you instead if that's the problem. And I don't think Jeremy was condescending in his comment. He was ve~ry polite if you ask me. If someone pointed out I'd made a mistake the way he did, I would not feel insulted at all, "sweetie".

Well, try posting (Without spamming, of course) some more, in order to get to those 25 posts, and then, make your thread.
