Left during Onslaught. Anyway, shouldn't it be the second expansion of Mirrodin Set now? If anyone can update me with the latest game mechanics, and probably some good cards as well that would be great.

    Legions:

Amplify (crappy mechanic anyway): show your hand as something comes into play and put X+1/+1 counters on the creature for every one you choose to show (with the same creature type).

Provoke: Attack and you can force one creature to block it (so YGO, ugh). This is similar to cards like lure, but isolated.

Double Strike: Creature deals first strike and normal damage

    Scourge:

Storm: When you play the spell, calculate how many spells have been played (copies don't count). Make that many copies of the spell with storm on the stack.

Landcycling: Best mechanic from scourge IMO, instead of drawing a card (cycling), you search for a land and put it into your hand (e.g. plainscycling gets you plains).

    Mirrodin:

Imprint: this is the process of removing something from the game under the card's ability. this card usually does something with the imprinted (removed card), like copying it or using it to give the thing flying...

Equipment: It's like an enchant creature, but it stays on the field when the creature dies. It tends to cost double (to play and then equip) of the local enchantment, tho.

Affinity: You pay 1 less for every [something] you have, let it be artifacts, lands, etc., to play the spell

Entwine: Choose one of two effects, or pay the entwine cost to do both

    Darksteel:

Modular: Remember the chimeras? They're back (sort of). When a creature with modular dies, you can move its +1/+1 counters over to other artifact creatures (so you waste nothing).

Indestructable: Anything that destroys it or anything that gives it lethal damage will not kill it. Removal, bounce, and state-based kills (e.g. -1/-1) are still valid to "kill" them.

    Good stuff:

    Legions:
    Akroma, Angel of Wrath
    Phage the Untouchable
    Scion of Darkness
    The Slivers
(I don't like this set too much, it's all creatures.)

    Scourge:
    Decree of Justice
    Decree of Annihilation
    Eternal Dragon
    Silver Overlord
    Forgotten Ancient
    STIFLE!!!!

    Mirrodin:
    Broodstar
    Guilded Lotus
Platinum Angel (you can't lose the game)
    Icy Manipulator (is back)
Soul Foundry (make copies of creatures...good ones)
Mindslaver (take control of target opponent)
    Auriok Steelshaper (cheap equipment)
    Fireshrieker (double strike!!!)
    Leonin Skyhunter
    Pentavus
Myr Incubator (known as the extended breaker when tinker was around)
Ishron Scepter (most valuable uncommon in Mirrodin)

    Darksteel:
Darksteel stuff (Collosus and forge in particular)
arcbound stuff (reclaimer and crusher being the craziest)
Blinkmoth Nexus (known as Darksteel Mishra's factory)
    FIREBALL!!!!!
Memnarch (says: 4UUU: take control of target permanent)
    Reshape (tinker weakened)
    Panoptic Mirror (copy sorceries/instants)
    Serum Powder (alternative to mulligan)
Vedalken Engineer (a common that is highly drafted by many)

That's quite a long list. Thanks. Anyway, do you happen to know the storyline for Mirrodin and Darksteel as well. Are they better than the whole Mirari storyline?

I think the Onslaught block had a better storyline than the Mirrodin block so far. Mirrodin had a better concept, but the Darksteel novel killed it (It's probably the worst in the type 2 block right now).

    Mirrodin Storyline by short:
The moons are about to align (they are on top of their own "places") and the green tangle is about to take a ceremony that erases the memories of the elves. Glissa decides not ot take it. That night, levelers attacked her house and killed ehr family, with her stuck on one of them. she gets rescued by Slobad and heads to the Leonin (a lion tribe) toseek for healing. There, she finds out about the nim (zombies basically) and how the leonin are fighting against them. the leader tells the master healer, who hated Glissa, to heal her completely. the healer did not deny the leader. Glissa and Slobad head to the Mepidross (the black place) to the Vault of Whispers. They find Bosh in the dross and fixed him up. Glissa uses one of Geth's (the leader of the black guys) men to get her to Geth. She beats him up and gets this serum from him. He tells her that someone else is trying to kill her (that someone paid Geth). She then heads to the goblin resistance base and they got ambushed. They leave and head to the tangle again. Again they were attacked. The Troll elder (who sent her to the quest) dies here. Her best friend dies. She finds out who is attacking her (a Vedalken). She heads to the quicksilver sea and gets a human tribe to help her out. She, Slobad, Bosh, and Bruenna (leader of the human tribe), enter Lemegrid and meets a Vedalken called Pontifex. He leads them to the leader of the Synod (the empire/dictatorship basically), and everyone starts to fight. The leader, Janus, injures Bruenna, but glissa kills him. Pontifex says he wants to deliver her to Memnarch, his god (who is in the centre of Mirrodin). Glissa escapes into the pool of knowledge with Bosh, Slobad and Bruenna and into the core of Mirrodin.

I missed a lot of details, but it's basically the basic storyline there.

    Darksteel:

Get to that tomorrow or something.
