This is why I don't post that I use (and prefer) a mac. Though I run both, and no matter what people say about price and this and that, etc. It all comes down to personal preference. I myself love UNIX based OS and the interface of Mac OS X is creative and I definitely like it alot. However I also like the interface of the Windows XP and the various things that you can do on Windows and programs that run better or are windows only (i.e. my games, etc.)

So call me an Apple Fanboy or whatever you wish. This is my opinion.

Just got to point out that apple was making computers long before they created the iPod. The iPod was what gave them, imo, their mainstream success. =/ I was using a Mac a good while before the conception of the iPod. So please don't tell them to stick to what was something to do in addition to computers. =/

I don't like either, Mac's suck and PC's always crashes and have to get fixed...
 
I think that there is one thing you can take into consideration: You CAN install MAC software on a PC...

I'm not sure about the actual one made by Apple, maybe you can, maybe you cant, im not sure, but I'm 100% sure that there are other "Homebrew" ones that are made to run perfectly fine, and can be installed, and dualbooted with a Windows 2000/XP/Vista

It's alright to play about with OSX, but I wouldn't bother using it day to day :)
 
I'm not for mac but I can say that we can use Linux on an apple, a PC, a PS3 and other machines. It's for this that I use linux but I think the machine apple is most performant.
 
I use a Mac as my personal machine, but I work with PCs almost everyday too.

Mac OS X has a lot of things built in that make it a pleasure to use, and there is really nothing you cant do on one that you can't do on the other, except for hard core gaming but ive never been a huge fan of PC gaming (Wii FTW :) )

There are some disadvantages to Macs. Some Software is harder to find than on PCs. Of course its a pain to upgrade the darn things. All Macs, Except the Mac Pro, are pretty much limited to RAM upgrades. You can swap the HD and Optical drive too but they are just total pains to get to in most Mac models. I once even upgraded the Wireless module in my friends old MacBook Pro to a new 802.11n card, what a pain that was.
 
I would get a Mac i personally think its more organized and yea its more awesome xD

I do believe that's illegal though. Last I knew, while it is possible to get OSX running on a PC, Apple doesn't want you to. Because god forbid you just buy the OS for your current computer; you must spend an extra $1k on top of the price of said computer to get a Mac instead. :'(

Yup. Installing Mac OS X on any old machine isn't permitted by the software license that Mac OS X is distributed under.
 
The question is, why install OS X on a PC that could run a better OS?

Not at all. OS X isn't supposed to be run on standard desktops and it's a breach of the Apple rules or something, you also need to make sure your hardware is compatible. The only people who would bother doing so are aspiring Apple users and it's evident that you are one.

Only reason to do so is for the lulz.
