    Hello and welcome to Mafia Mayhem. This special Get-together mafia event should be a dream come true for those of you who want to brutally murder some of your competition... or team mates. We don't judge.

    Mafia is a strategy game pitting two teams against each other, the uninformed majority (town) and informed minority (mafia). The goal is simple enough, the town need to kill all the mafia before the mafia can become the majority. If you're new to the game and need proper instructions, here's a link to Gunner's Guide.

    Rules
    1. Do not PM share or otherwise discuss this game outside of this thread.
    2. Both the Day and Night phases are 24 hours. The game starts in the Night Phase
    3. During the night phase, you must not post in this thread.
    4. If you're dead, that's it, you're dead. You may not haunt the thread. the exception to this is one death post that cannot contain game information.
    5. Format votes as [Vote] Player
    6. If you fail to vote twice in a row, you will be removed from the game.
    7. You may not abstain from voting.

    Roles
    This is a small game, so the roles are very limited. In fact, there are only two roles with special abilities.

    The Doctor: The special role given to one of the town-sided players. At night you can visit one person and protect them from death. All other town players are villagers with no abilities.
    The Yakuza: The only mafia player in this setup. Each night you can choose one town player to kill. You also have a second night action ability in which you will kill yourself and transfer your role to a town player. If that player wins, you achieve a team victory with them.

    Well, it looks like we're thrown into a tough situation immediately. We can't abstain from voting apparently. And if we mislynch we get 2 vs. 1. The Yakuza can kill one of them and convert the other. While they die in the process they still win along with the remaining brand new baddie.

    Soooo... it's mislynch-and-lose practically already. What a great D1.

    There is still a doctor of course (unless he's dead), so it might be possible that the aforementioned plan may fail. But even then it's 1v1 and then the game would literally be up to a coin flip. (That's what I assume what happens at least.)

    Anybody have an idea what to do?
     
    Best way to play would be for doctor to claim, which would leave us with 3 people to choose from. (Doctor is still alive - in the other game, the doctor was killed and they were revealed when killed, not revealed as just Town).

    tbh my money would be on Desox or Lycan as the yakuza just based on the fact that I think killing JD is a strategic move that someone who's played a lot with jd would make, and I don't think peter would make that move
     
    We're in quite a predicament indeed. Claiming doctor: if doctor claims, he dies; and if doctor does not claim, which'd be smarter to me, the chance of death is lessened to a 50% (or well, more like 50% if the ~25%~ edit: 33%, as maf can't attack itself chance maf hits doctor doesn't happen).
    With doc not claiming, there's a bigger chance of sucess than with doc claiming, which I think reduces said chances greatly.

    But, as CB said, the advantage of doc claiming is that it'd reduce our margin of selection; it's a risky play but if done correctly is an instawin. But, maybe it's worth taking.

    I also agree with what is said about thinking who'd strategically hit jd and it's a nice thing to base things on, it's a risk I'm willing to take (tho i'm town, ok?)

    doctor can still protect themselves no? so even if they reveal AND we mislynch we still have a chance to continue if the doc protects well

    whereas they don?t reveal, means we?re lynching someone blind, and if we mislynch we still have to rely on the doctor protecting correctly to continue the game

    so the path that i see makes the most sense is doc revealing

    Well actually... the reason I hadn't responded here was because I was playing D&D all night and didn't really have time to check this game. That said, there is no need for me to wait for a doc claim, because I am the doc.
    Might as well just reveal this, since the chance of a successful protection is only 25% anyway.

    I will wait for Desox's response. And i would also like to know why did you vote Desox? Lycantrophy, who do you think as the mafia? C,mon. We need more and more responses to figure out who is the mafia.



    To me the mafia is a experinced person. As pointed by Lycantrophy. He thinks from his brain. And he want to win all by himself. The logic for that is that the yakazu can kill himself and make another one a mafia. Which will increase the chance of mafia to win. But he didn't because he want to win all by himself. Am i correct mafia.

    Note:- i havn't played even 2 mafia on pokecommunity. So i don't know if jbug is the most experinced player in this game, and Lycan's statement is correct or not.

    i voted desox because I don't think you're mafia, and lycan claimed doc. which leaves desox

    plus he is experienced (i'm the one who said mafia would be someone with experience for killing jd, lycan didn't say that)

    but regardless, we've all played a lot of games apart from you peter
