It really is. I think one reason is because there tends to be a lot of excess characters in that sort of anime... And because some magical girl anime is just downright confusing.
 
I guess that's what makes it so lovable...They're not all the same when you get down to it..DX are they?
 
Yeah exactly! I hate the poeple who hate them because they think all of them are the same. ><;
 
The thing is that they aren't all the same. They may all have cute transforming sequences with implied nudity and a catchy song that makes you bob your head every time they transform, but they do not all have the same storyline or characters.

EDIT: Nurse Witch Komugi is an amazing anime. So is Soul Taker, where Komugi's character originated.

Yes Nurse Witch Komugi is awesome! ^^ I rented a dvd the other day for the 1st time and now I'm in love with it. I'm even copying the episodes to my ipod. XD

Well that was the topic, but I think we're trying to think of a new one right now. Hm... well my sister got a new manga today. It's called Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne. I haven't read it yet.. heck I don't even know if it's magical girl. ^^; does anyone know?

It's about a girl named Maron who becomes a thief at night and steals works of art that have demons that come out of them and take over people. Marons' best friend tries to catch the thief because she wants to be a detective like her dad. What she doesn't know, is that her best friend is the thief though. And then meanwhile a new guy named Chiaki comes in and ends up being a thief as well, so him and Maron become rivals although they like eachother.
