Hey all. Been playing Pokemon for years on the DS/Gameboy but only recently got back into the Pokemon TCG. I've created several decks, the most recent of which I'd like to get reviewed here. So here goes!
2 Magmortar Lv. X MT
2 Magmortar SW
2 Magmar(1 MT, 1 SW)
2 Tangrowth Lv. X AR
2 Tangrowth SF
2 Tangela ( 1 SF, 1 GE)
1 Leafeon Lv. X MD
1 Leafeon RR
1 Eevee RR
1 Flygon RR
1 Vibrava RR
1 Trapinch SW
1 Claydol GE
1 Baltoy SV
1 Uxie LA
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums
1 Premier Ball
1 Luxury Ball
2 Level Max
1 Life Herb
1 Palmers Contribution
1 Team Galactic's Wager
1 Buck's Training
1 Battle Tower
3 Bebe's Search
4 Roseanne's Research
1 Cynthias Feelings
1 Cyrus's Initiative
2 Expert Belt
2 Night Maintenance
2 Warp Point
1 Bench Shield
Energy:
8 Fire Enegy
5 Grass Energy
2 Multi Energy
Strategy:
The main strategy of this deck is to get Leafeon X out first and to have a waiting Magmar/Magmortar on the bench. Leafeon uses "Plus Energy" and "Energy Forcing" to attach up to 3 energy a turn to Magmortar, over the span of about 2 turns. If Leafeon X is still alive at this point, switch for free using Rainbow Float, and sweep with a 6+ energy Magmortar doing 120+damage. If Magmortar gets injured, i can retreat him to the bench, attach another energy to heal 40 dmg(with Leaf Refresh combined with Flame Body) and possibly flip 2 heads with Tangrowth's Healing Growth. I heavn't yet decided whether or not to have Tangrowth X as an attacker. It can do pretty decent damage, but i'm not sure whether or not i have the resources to energy it up, etc. I'm sure i've missed some stuff, since I don't have Leafeon Lv. X yet and can't test the deck out, but if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them. Thanks!
*Update* I'm toying with the idea of adding an Infernape SP Lv. X, to force switches and to get rid of anyone who i can't take(shouldn't be anyone, but just in case). If I add it, I might get rid of the 2nd Magmortar X and Tangrowth X, but i'm not exactly sure.
