Hey! I found the writing forum (finally), and I thought--hey, I have nothing to lose--I'm new! But I'm fairly certain I'll at least garner your attention with my poems. I only have one right now, but I'll have more later!
Hope you guys like it! A little dark, I know, but I really liked how it came out (it was a class assignment about a week ago to write a poem exploring a different side of you. Heheh...). Keep an eye peeled for more!

Closer
I see the face.
It's been here a while,
I just haven't really
Known it--
Not until now
Its empty eyes whisper of
Death, despair,
And I am not afraid
Because I know
The things it sees
The dark things
The dead things
Those things
And one time, I think,
Just once, I think,
I know what will come
Behind the next door
In the next chapter
On the twelfth toll of the bell
Tonight, by the light of the moon
I'm closer.
