I'm hoping its some kind of event room for the Johto starters.
I know its possible to get them through trading or whatever, but I just think it would be interesting. Maybe they could give them some event only moves or whatever?

No. There's nothing there because nothing was coded there. I highly doubt there would be anything in the Mansion that would warrant that particular area being blocked off, anyway. I'd agree that they were just coded to be there to give a sense of size to the Mansion.

As far as it goes, the doorway on the left side, in Platinum, has a little daily battle thing going on against his maids, which I always seem to foul up, because I didn't realise that you needed to score the exact number of turns in the battles... XD;;

In some way, we could find that out, without events etc. NOW. Just do it the same way, like they did with the strange door in R/S/E in Xeneroville. You can put that tree, who is in front of the room, with a computer-programme away, in the mysterious room was a battle, when i remember right. Nothing special, at all.

But for the secret room in Mr. Backlots' mansion, i have a idea. Whats about Phione or Manaphy? In his office, a diary is, where his favourite Pokémon, Manaphy, is shown. Probably, Nintendo will give sometime a event, where we could get somewhat like "Audience Card", what we have to show the maid, and then we could get the Manaphy, which is in a Pokeball on a desk.

Perhaps that could've happen. It's actually a better way to obtain Manaphy like that as well. Before, you could only obtain Manaphy from Pokémon Ranger. It'd be nice to have it a different way other than that.

The maids could possibly be there so they can watch out for Team Galactic or any person who tries to steal something in there or anything like that. They could perhaps, be the ones who clean up when you are not inside. Of course I am sure that's probably most unlikely, but we can always think of things they can perform if we are not in there.

As others and myself said though, it's most likely there for the looks and an extension. If there was a storyline to it, Nintendo would have to bring out that event before the Japanese Release of the HGSS games.

I heard that it was for an online event, that if you got the item "Backlots Memo" the maids would move aside, behind one of the doors was supposed to be the answer to how Backlot managed to get the rare Pokemon in his garden and and behind the other was supposed to be another Pokemon from another game. I don't know if this is true or not, but I found that info on another forum.

If anyone could confirm this info it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.

If there is something like A-Map for 4th gen, then we could just check if there is a warp script or not. And anyway, walk through walls would work (I think) cuz I did that same thing to get into cerulean cave in Fire red. So, probably decoration purpose only.

EDIT: I checked out Blacklot's memo, but no videos, pics, or walkthroughs, just people saying it exists but not how to get it. Nor showing us it is there. So, I think it is just made up.
