and yet if everyone could check the legitness of a pokemon, there would be less hacks around because they could be found a whole lot easier

why it's probably hacked? I found two different peopole who have one (and not the same one) so if it's legit just one japan pc it's not that fair as well

but i can trade octillery 19th for the nagoya pikachu

I think that if the hackers had access to information, there would be better hacks, more difficult to detect...

Toadboy - there are lots of pokes from WC files and I wouldn't be surprised if 95%+ of my DS events were from WC files.

When the info is just floating, it just means undetectable hacks. You forgot the fact that people will still make hacks, just we can't tell diff

I think that without the information being in the public it allows for less scrutiny and makes it very easy to CLAIM you can do something you can't. So i can go buy an R4, download saves and view pokemon and CLAIM i can do something even tho i can't. It would be better to have everyone have the ability to check their pokemon than for the select few to take advantage of the rest of us and we not know.
 
I haven't gotten around to checking my PC yet, but I think at least one of them is legit. I will need your FC and add my second FC. I'll let you know as soon as I finish checking them

Toad - if there are WC files all over the place, anyone with an AR can make an event pokemon that looks 100% legit in sav, which seems to be the case. Everyone is making hacks now, and if the WC are all over the place, everyone making hacks will make GOOD ones. Basically we'll all end up trading good looking hacks and making our trading pointless as you just get fake stuff.

i don't see a whole lot of difference between trading perfectly hacked AR pokemon and trading AR cloned pokemon. Just seems that the AR cloned one is far easier to do. I'd wager that 90% of the pokemon traded are AR cloned anyway, which means we all trading good looking hacks making trading pointless as you say.
 
Sorry about the trade yesterday, my comp was failing to load this site, AGAIN. I think the server is really bad.

Anyways, Toad, I see your point but I believe that it is a moral issue because an AR cloned was obtained the ideal or proper way at the event by somebody and was merely just cloned. With a WC file, they actually don't need to obtain the event and is seen as unfair to some.

I will take the first 4. Pick some stuff from my list, but nothing too rare as I suspect most if not all are hacked, regardless of what you say. I'll be checking them in sav after we trade, so I'll be sure to let you know.

It doesn't matter if you were told legit, I've been told legit on many things to find out they are hacks, so I really don't trust many people right now, or many sav checkers either.
