Making scripted battles double battles in Platinum

    Hi, I'm working on a doubles rom hack for Platinum. I see that others have already done it, but I'd like to do it myself for the experience. I was wondering does anyone know how to Get the rival and scripted battles in Platinum to be double battles? I'm using DSPRE. I've tried simply turning the trainer file into a double battle, but that doesn't seem to effect the battle itself. What am I doing wrong?
