i dont belive you have the nerve to even say that O_O im so ashamned in you dude..

ok I belive there is a diffrence between the two genders,
Female have more defensive capabilites
Males have more offensive capabilities
now, in pokemon land, the whole game is sexist , see how many times you see it ??
Um EhEhEhE if you read my frist propley it says that females weaker and male stronger "Or the other way around"I wasnt being sexist XD,but i agree with u seto about females being more defensive and males ofensive

=P See Matt? Have you read that post by me? Toldja Faith wouldn't like it.

Meh well, there's also one little thing Deviruchi. Does the same happen when another Pokemon use it on a genderless Pokemon?

Why should females be weaker? You sexist you...XD

They're completely the same, which ones are strong and which ones are weak is determined by their IVs, which are completely random. The difference between males and females only comes into play in breeding, where males pass on egg moves whereas females determine the species of the baby. ^^
He wasn't being sexist. He even said "or the other way around?".
Edit: Woops, I only just saw that Matt already explained...

For the GSC versions, I heard females have more even stats.

Yes, I tested it too.
One other thing is that Mew isn't affected by the Cute Charm trait, so it can't be Attracted either.

Yeah, I was going to write something about that too. =P

I believe the same would apply for all other genderless Pokemon. But eh wait, Latias is female, isn't she genderless in the game or something?

Not. She is Female in the game, she is affected by Attract/Cute Charm, but she can't breed.

Awh.. that's a shame. So that's why nobody has multiple Latias too.

Oh well, maybe the point of this thread has been proven? How about we let this die?

Actually, 'Or the other way around' still leaves it sexist. It would just be males being discriminated against instead of females. Tsk, let's get clear on the terms here people. The only way not to be sexist would have been to add 'Or are they the same?' But seriously, I thought that the XD was a fairly good indication of that remark not being serious.

But if there were a difference, I'd say that the males have more Attack, females have more Defense formula would be the most accurate because of evolutionary choice. Giving birth to children is hard labour, and as such, those with the greatest stamina would be those least likely to perish in childbirth and be those in the best condition to look after the children after they were born, thus ensuring that their genes would have the greatest chance of going forward. Males on the other hand would probably end up fighting for mating rights, as most animals do today, and as such, the strongest males would be the ones most likely to survive these battles, thus getting their genes spread onward.

Oooo, Alter, you certainly know your stuff. xD

The pokemon stats are all randomised in the earlier games, and in the later games they're decided by natures (among other things) so gender doesn't come into it.

That's the whole thing. Stats of a Pokemon matter on how your Pokemon get EVs, not the gender. =P

Nah, tch, genders and pkmn status have nothing ta do with eachother. Neither is stronger, neither is weaker.

=P That's what I said isn't it?

Heh, then again there IS all those things about the trading from RBY...

Well, just like humans, male and female Pokemon share their own bits of strengths and weaknesses. Honestly, females aren't weaker than males...males just seem to be more competetive than most females are. XD But in the Pokemon world, being male or female plays no part in how high their attack, defense, speed etc. are. X3
