Male or Female Vocalists?

The thing for me is this; in the music I listen to there are far more male vocalists than female; and the female vocalists that ARE there tend to be of a classically trained quality which I'm not totally a fan of. Now, there *are* exceptions to this; Cristina Scabbia is totally wonderful as a metal vocalist; and Liv Kristine (though she's only really shined alongside Dani in Cradle of Filth's "Nymphetamine") along with Dirty Harry (Victoria Harrison) are both wonderful vocalists. I can't forget Tori Amos, and Jess & Lisa of The Veronicas; too. But..when it comes down to the crux of it? Bruce Dickinson, James LaBrie and Matt Barlow are all boys; so..I guess I prefer boys~
 
To me, really, it doesn't matter what the singer's sex, only if they're good. I listen to a mixture of male and female vocalists. When it comes to solo artists, I don't listen to too many male singers, but when it comes to bands, I listen to a mixture of male and female fronted groups. My favourite singers include Dia Frampton, William Beckett, Dallas Green, and Emily Haines.
 
I prefer mainly male vocalists because my favourite bands have them. But I also like female vocals in some situations, it depends of the type of song.
 
I mostly listen to male, but theres a few bands with female vocals that i listen to

Paramore - Haley is amazing hands down
I Wrestled A Bear One - Very Hectic But shes nearly as good as a screamer as Angela From Arch Enemy

OTEP - Dont really listen to them much, but from what iv heard they are pretty great
Eyes Set To Kill - Her voice is truely amazing, these guys are really great
