    Mac user here.

Pokecommunity keeps trying to give me a Plain Text file. It'll pop up everytime I load something asking me to save it. They come in different varieties, with different titles. This started a few hours ago. Might have some kind of malware or something.

This is not a joke. This is potentially a very serious problem.

Any help would be appreciated. Are any other Mac users getting this?

I tried this out on my mac and I'm not getting the same problem. What pages of the site are you visiting?

The board index, Game Development, Webmasters Discussion, Other Chat and Japanese Entertainment.

But you know, it seems to have stopped. Forum seems to be loading faster, too. I'm positive there was an issue and it couldn't have resolved itself. Weird?

    I dunno.

I guess lock the thread, but if I had money invested in the site I would be concerned, personally. Man your battle stations, bros.

The site is screened daily. At the time of your report the server was packed and the site was slow for everyone. Problems don't solve themselves but I doubt it was anything serious.

it may have been me killing processes and or restarting apache.. seems the server didn't quite recover properly from last night's db backup so I was trying to get it's load back under control..

It shouldn't be doing it now.. is it?

P.S. when a webserver sends you a file and asks you to save, it usually means that (especially with php) it wasn't processed properly or completely by the server.. you can cancel the save and try (after a few mins) your link again. it is neither dangerous nor anything an end user should be worried about.

Slowdown aside, there was no mistaking the big "please save this text file lulz" window. >_>

But bah, it's not as if anything can touch me as long as I have my Mac. Windows be damned.

Nah, it's all good. Started about an hour or two ago, stopped... no more than ten minutes after I made this thread. Doh.

Sorry for the concern, I guess.
