OK for you people out there looking for a better paid host, I want to let you know about a friend of mine's service: innerChambers.com
iC provides MANAGED web hosting, complete with all the bells and whistles you'd expect in a web host. 100mbps connections, 10 redundant fiber lines, 3 power sources, cpanel/whm, and custom made value-added scripts and/or applications. (BTW, PPN is on this host, so you can see it's decent)
These are not free type or entry level plans, but are designed for those that need 99.9% uptime, support, custom apps / scripts and so on.
