Manaphy moveset please ^^;

    I'm gonna make an uber team in addition to my standard team like Aragornbird did o.o I love Manaphy so I wanna use him..this is what my feeble brain has worked up so far

    Timid(Cannot be changed sadly)
    Evs=Dunno
    Surf
    Tail Glow
    Rest
    Rain dance/Ice beam. I know people will be like 'WTF YOU NEED RAIN DANCE' I'm gonna use a CSWaterspouting Kyogre as my lead so I'm not sure whether I'll need it.
     
    That is the exact setup my Manaphy uses.

    Rest
    Tail Glow
    Surf
    Rain Dance.

    Works great. But, use a Damp Rock to increase your tank. Leftovers are pointless when your HP is at full, which it will be because you are resting.

    it does NOT work, the rock onyl works if you have used it with the holder of the "rock"

    Manaphy is uber, yes it is. CMCress, Haze + HP Elec/Grass Vappy, CMBliss. Overcentralization = Uber.

    Just use it with Kyogre. The rain will last the whole battle anyways.

    That's just it, Manaphy is not at all versatile. The same reason why Jirachi, Shaymin, and Celebi are not ubers, Manaphy is also not. Manaphy is very predictable (Ice Beam & Surf anyone?), and its 100 base attack is completely useless (it barely knows any physical attacks).

    Its ability plus Rest AND Base 100 HP/SPDEF/DEF makes him invincible to almost all pokes.
     
    Calm down, Cake. It's not huge arguement, and it only helps you.

    If you have Rain Dance, then yes, it works when you use the move. So, because you have Rain Dance in your set, we're throwing in a Damp Rock. Plus, what happens when say, a Poke with Sand Stream comes in and ends your happy rain parade? Well, you're gonna want to fix that ASAP.
     
    Not at ALL. When Kyogre comes out, the Rain is permenant, whether or not you have the rock. The only way it can be removed is with another Weather move.

    Dude, think defensively. The rain has a great potential to be ended at any time by anyone's weather changing move. Even if Kyogre is out, if someone uses any other move, unless you bring out another Poke with Drizzle as their ability, or you use the move Rain Dance, the rain stops, PERMANENTLY.

    Manaphy NEEDS rain, so you need to let him MAKE it.
     
    The question was if Kyogre cast rain, & Manaphy uses the rock, will the rock take effect, not if Manaphy had Rain Dance. And whether or not Mana has Damp Rock, it will stay.

    Unless Mana itself use Rain Dance, of course.
     
    No one uses weather changing moves in Ubers. Groudon maybe, but you can take him with Ice Beam. Rayquaza dies to Ice Beam, and Tyranitar is not liking Surf. Just stick with Kyogre, you need the extra moveslot.
