This is the signup and OOC thread for MANiKin, an RP you can find here.

I know this looks like one hell of a lot of work, and if it's that much of a problem you can simplify the signup, but I always find these kinds of signups fun to do since you can flesh a character out so much! I support using an image to help with your character description, and if you do I can make you a header for the signup.

Basically, with the color1 and color 2 and so on coding in the signup, you replace each of those with the same colour code. Going into Notepad and using the Replace tool works wonders!

Keep in mind that once one of the roles set aside in the main thread is claimed, it's claimed. No bartering or anything.

Physical appearance:
Hailing from Germany, Alicia has an elegant air about her that she uses to manipulate people into ignoring her deformities. In height, the girl is five feet, five inches, while in weight she weighs a whopping 140 pounds. If she didn't have the right arm of a doll, her weight would be significantly lighter, but since she's stuck with the slow, continuous changes, she can't do anything that would change it. Her hair is blond, borderline dirty-blond, and it falls down to just above her butt when it isn't tied up. Accompanying her rather dull hair colour is a rather uninteresting pair of brown eyes, that seem to gaze uninterestedly at pretty much everything, as if she's given up on looking for the good in anything. She has a large scar running diagonally down her back, assumingly from a Doll attack, and there's a small crack in the porcelain that makes her artificial, ball-joint arm, up near the shoulder. The crack was caused by an attack from a civilian.

Clothing and accessories:
A strong believer in wearing traditional clothing, one of the things Alicia can't stand is being chirped on for her choice of attire. It's comfortable, OKAY!? Where to even start... Okay, let's start with her hair. She keeps her blond locks pulled back into a ponytail, tying it up with a dark red ribbon which she neatly wraps into a bow, the rest of her hair falling and framing her face with bangs. Over top the torso portion of her outfit, she drapes a dark purple shoal with frilled edges, and tied around her neck with a dark red ribbon in a bow not unlike the one in her hair. The shoal flows over top of a white, button-up shirt with long sleeves with cuffs on the ends, mainly to hide her inhuman arm. Layered on top of the white shirt is a corset that covers her stomach in the same purple as her shoal, the garment easily tightened through the black laces on the front. The more you tighten it, the more it sheds light to the girl's flat chest, which she is easily embarrassed about. The corset reaches down to a purple skirt, that is once again in a same shade as the other purple garments, with the same frilly edges as the shoal. What the skirt doesn't cover of her legs, her black leggings do, completely enveloping the flesh all the way up until her waist, unfortunate as it may be to any perverts out there. To top off her ensemble, Alicia wears a pair of dark purple ballet flats, a little dark red bow tied on each foot.

/PERSONALITY ➟
General:
While not the most free with her emotions, Alicia does indeed have the mind of a human girl, through and through. Though, in the midst of the other members of STRINGS, she chooses to bring in a cold front to make it seem like she didn't care about them at all. Whether or not she pulled this trick wouldn't change that everyone else looked down on the Pawns, treating them like garbage for being infected, but it at least makes it easier for her to cope with. Outside of STRINGS headquarters, though, she shows more of an interest to the world. She likes to shop, and hang out in busy places. However, due to her arm, the only person she could even remotely call a friend was the other Pawn. They were more or less in it together, after all. Her sickness has driven her time and time again to considering suicide, as she feels it isn't worth living if she's just eventually going to turn into a Doll. However, she always stops herself for some reason. She isn't sure why, but maybe deep down she has a reason for living.

/HISTORY ➟
Alicia was born and raised in Bremerhaven, Germany, a quaint city with a quaint atmosphere that was rather... quaint. She lived the life of a regular girl, attending a regular school and making regular friends. Things continued on like this for the majority of her life, only to take an abrupt turn for the worse when she was eleven. Her dad was transferred to the United States, and the whole family had to go with him. Her knowledge of English was limited, so she had a hard time adjusting at first, but she eventually started to make friends. Sooner rather than later, she was speaking in fluent English, and living a normal life once again. It was a peaceful life, one she'd regret taking for granted when the Dolls began to appear.

The girl's first encounter with a Doll was also the most frightening case for her, mostly because the Doll was her own mother. The same mother who doted on her only child all those sixteen years. It was unexpected, as well, as she came at her daughter with a steak knife suddenly while making dinner, after Alicia had noticed her mother's hardening skin and stiff movements. It was her father who eventually came to Alicia's rescue, hitting her own mother's face in with a hammer, the porcelain shattering and blood spilling to the ground. Her farther yelled at her to leave the house, and she did, until her father finally emerged hours later. The sixteen year old had been crying the entire time, and was just happy to see her dad, so she went up to hug him. She was careless, and her "father" sent a knife right down her back amidst the embrace. In shock, and from loss of blood, she fell to the ground, her vision getting darker, but not fading until she saw the doll-like face of her father.

When she awoke, Alicia found herself in the back seat of a car, a young couple at the front of the vehicle, Her wounds had been completely bandaged up, but there was a strange stiffness in her right hand. When she brought her hand before her eyes, she uttered a shriek of terror at what she saw. Her fingers weren't her fingers anymore, but were replaced by boneless counterparts, ball-joints making her fingers able to move stiffly. When the couple transporting her noticed, they promptly ejected her from the moving vehicle in fear of her completely changing. She got about like this for the next month or so, hearing stories from other survivors as they all commuted to a place they had heard rumors of being able to live a semi-normal life. Every day, she felt a little less human as her changes crept up her arm, and her arm eventually lead to her being discovered by STRINGS, whom brought her into their group almost upon discovery due to her mysterious condition.

To this day she works for STRINGS, dealing with all the prejudice against her every day, living a lonely life of solitude, waiting for the curse to finally completely envelope her



/WEAPON ➟
Alicia makes use of a short katana she received from her dojo back in Germany. She carries it around by hand, often ditching the scabbard when battle arises. As a result, she often loses them and is forced to buy new ones.
/FIGHTING STYLE ➟
Well versed in swordplay, Alicia is more than a match for your regular Doll fodder. It's just when they're in large number that they become a problem, since she can't move super fast due to her arm. In desperation, she has been shown to use that arm she hates as a shield or bludgeoning weapon, since it's so tough.

Though I have an out-of-country trip soon, followed shortly by my return to school, I would like to try joining here. /APPEARANCE ➟
Physical appearance: While his heritage remains unknown, Maximilien's location of birth indicates that he is most likely Russian. His hair, naturally black as obsidian yet bearing the remains of a few maroon highlights, is moderate in length and unruly despite being naturally straight. Its dark color contrasts his slightly sunken grey eyes, the irises of which seem to swirl like restless storm clouds. Maximilien's naturally pale skin has darkened from his time in the outdoors to approach a more moderate shade. Standing at 5'11", 140 lbs, the fighter can be an imposing figure. His form is compact and toned with a few scars highlighting his skin.
Clothing and accessories: To keep his hair back from his eyes, Maximilien keeps a bandanna around his forehead that doubles as a blindfold for training. Beneath his left eye is a vertical line of three stud piercings set with onyx. Starting on his neck and covering his body is a segmented set of light armor "liberated" from the government supplies. Made of woven synthetic fibers, the dark-coloured material can somewhat soften (though not block) most blows and is difficult to pierce, its main disadvantage being that it adds an extra fifteen pounds. Though Maximilien's daily training allows him to move in his armor without much trouble, he would inevitably move more quickly without it. To cover his armor, the Diamond wears a metal collar and a long t-shirt over which are bound several belts at varying angles. For his lower body, Maximilien decided on a pair of cargo pants bound to him at a few points to prevent too much shifting of cloth. Accompanying this is a set of dark brown boots. On his hands and forearms the fighter wears sturdy gloves made of the same material as his armor, with thick silver rings on each finger except the thumb, allowing him to punch through stone, glass, etc. more easily and with less chance of serious injury. Above this all Maximilien dons a hooded cloak clasped near his left shoulder. For missions, the piercings on his face may be replaced with a horizontally-slitted lower face mask. Due to the fact that it reduces his sense of smell, though, he avoids wearing it if possible. Maximilien's urumi is kept at his side, while he wears his Gemini Sword strapped to his back.

Armor

/PERSONALITY ➟
General: Maximilien is, in short, "an enigma wrapped in a mystery." Only half bound to reality, he cares little if another is human or Doll, animate or inanimate. A target is a target, and conversation is conversation. The main differences between the forms around him are how difficult they are to kill. For the Diamond, destruction is an insatiable craving--almost an obsession--driven by forces within him he cannot fully understand. In a city of people trying to achieve some fragment of normality in their lives, he survives best in the gashes that tear through the picture of the world they want to create. Though he takes considerable pleasure in unbridled violence, Maximilien has also shown moments of tranquility and (on occasion) paranoia.

/HISTORY ➟
Born in Russia, Maximilien was given to an orphanage and adopted by a couple in America without ever knowing his birth parents. At an early age, he developed a fascination with fighting and violence. Being a young boy, Maximilien did not draw much negative attention with his interest. On the contrary, his parents enrolled him in several martial arts schools in an attempt to make him happy while teaching him discipline. When Maximilien was seven, his adopted parents had a child of their own--a girl that he quickly grew protective of as though they were bound by blood. During his teenage years, however, Maximilien began to grow more adventurous, becoming involved in things he should not have. His desire for a challenge took him to the streets, and his tendency to win fights earned him many enemies.

When the MANiKiN plague started, Maximilien's family was as shocked as any. But being far from the source of the disease, they assumed it would be contained before it reached them. Unfortunately no continent, no country, and no city was spared from the effects of the disease. While Maximilien was away from home, as was often the case, an opponent he once defeated was transformed into a Doll. Stripped of his humanity yet still holding his grudge, the creature tracked Maximilien's scent to his house--a location the youth had made efforts to keep unknown to his enemies. With a burst of inhuman strength, the Doll broke down the front door.

A few hours after the infection found its way into town, Maximilien saw several Dolls wandering the streets. He rushed home, hoping to find his family still safe. Instead he found his little sister lying motionless in the front room and a Doll approaching his cornered parents. Maximilien grabbed a side table and broke it over the creature's head, dodged its retaliation swipe, then dashed into the kitchen with it in pursuit. One smash with a steel pan, and the Doll crumpled to the floor in pieces. As he returned to the front room, Maximilien watched his relieved parents rush to his sister's side. The girl opened her eyes slowly, then struck. Frozen in shock, Maximilien opened his mouth to scream. Yet no sound came out. Time slowed down, rushing by faster than any moment in his life had before. With a single strike to the chest, Maximilien's sister killed their mother; and with one bite, she transformed their father. Gasping in surprise, the man pushed his daughter away and into the wall. She lunged. He caught her. She scratched. He picked up a letter opener. She screamed. Tears running down his face, Maximilien's father turned toward him and whispered his last word. "Run." The already-stained letter opener flashed gold and white in the light of the setting sun, and a man fell lifeless on top of a corpse that had once been his daughter.

Taking nothing with him, Maximilien fled from his house. How long he ran he did not know. His chest was throbbing, his mind was shattered, and he was crying though he could not always remember why. In the weeks that followed, Maximilien survived off whatever supplies he could find and mercilessly brought down anyone in his path. It was during this time that violence escalated from infatuation to addiction for him. The screams in his head could be drowned by the screams from without, the splash of blood against his skin staved off the headaches like cold water on a burn, and each enemy he destroyed was one less phantom surrounding him. Eventually Maximilien found his way to Utopia, where simply being human earned him a welcome. For a short time Maximilien worked as a subordinate of STRINGS, but his insatiable bloodlust quickly caused them to go different ways. It was then that the CARDS approached him with an offer to join their group. He accepted.


/WEAPON ➟
Three-tailed urumi, Gemini Sword (large sword composed of two smaller ones, blade approximately 4 ft long), knife for emergencies
/FIGHTING STYLE ➟
Though one might not expect it from an insane, bloodthirsty destroyer, Maximilien is able to pick up on details and form combat plans in half a heartbeat. This attribute, in fact, occurs more due to his mental condition than in opposition to it. Battle scenarios are almost constantly running through his mind on some level, and his taste for violence has led him to accumulate a considerable amount of fighting experience. One "advantage" to Maximilien's methods is that he does not mind collateral damage. After all, what is a couple buildings and a bridge when taking down his prey?
Maximilien's favorite weapons are the Gemini Sword and his own body, though the size of the sword prevents him from carrying it when he wants to avoid attention. The urumi, while requiring more concentration to use, can be coiled and easily concealed beneath his cloak. Consequently, Maximilien almost always has it with him. If necessary, he will also improvise or steal weapons.
/RELATIONSHIPS ➟
Maximilien respects all the members of CARDS to some degree. Spade provides direction for his energies, and Club's love for battle he can identify with. But the member of the group he is closest to, strangely, is Heart. The consistent kindness and sense of purpose displayed by Heart cause Maximilien to feel a certain curiosity. He does not agree with or even fully understand such principles, but he has at least made attempts to be supportive--at times savagely tearing apart enemies to protect Heart while he heals someone.

Since his arrival at Utopia, Maximilien has not shown open affection toward anyone. Whether he is still capable of that feeling remains to be seen.

Physical appearance: Lucas has thick, hazel hair which is worn short, although it has grown longer since the infection since his hair is the last thing he's been worrying about. If it were any lighter, others could see how dirty his hair is, but its colour makes it look neater. He also has two, emerald green eyes which he thinks has intensified since he was attacked by the MANiKin. He is about 5'3 in height, being slightly shorter than the average male. His skin is usually pale, but since the MANiKin's he spends much more time outside, making his skin slightly tanned. His right arm is completely porcelain from a MANiKin attack, and a small part of his right check is also porcelain, which occasionally makes his jaw ache.

Clothing and accessories: Lucas is wearing the clothes he believed at the time would be the best for resisting a MANiKin bite. This consists of thick, black jeans which are now slightly torn from travelling. He also wears a plain black T-shirt which is simply for extra warmth rather than protection, and he wears a thick blue jacket with a small insignia of an eagle on the left side, which he always wears, but is also to cover his infected arm. He wears two, black, fingerless gloves for the same reason, even though the right glove doesn't quite fit his porcelain hand anymore.

/PERSONALITY➟
General: Lucas is a generally nice guy, despite being part MANiKin. He tries his best to help others, but usually makes matters worse, giving him a reputation as one of the most unreliable members of STRINGS. He also has a tendency to be impatient, meaning that he has a reason to be one of the lowest ranked members of STRINGS apart from being part Doll. He finds the best way to pass the time is to sleep, which also helps keeping his energy up if woken early. Most people call him Luke, which doesn't usually bother him, but he always refers to himself as Lucas, before the infection he was only known as Lucas, which is probably why. He seems to feel the insults about him being "Infected" more than the other pawn, but generally ignores it. At times he even enjoys having a MANiKin arm, as it is rock hard making it an effective blunt weapon, which he uses often. The infection seems to have taken a part of his brain, while it is usually unnoticed, in the heat of battle it can make him a vicious fighter, but near impossible to reason with. In a way, he's happy with the position he's been put in, even if he does hate being monitored by the Knight. But even though he wishes for more freedom, he would most likely end up back at the bottom of the food chain.

/HISTORY ➟
Lucas was born in central London, in England, one of the busiest cities in the world. Lucas lived a relatively ordinary life just like any other child in London, he lived a relatively ordinary life up until the infection that is (But we'll get to that later). He had always thought that his life would be like any other and he would be another ordinary person living in London city. That was about to change.

Lucas had been accepted into a college, in America... While it was a little extreme, he took the opportunity. One early morning, he was awoken by his roommate, who looked distraught and terrified. He screamed and fell to the floor. Lucas saw a porcelain creature plunging a knife into his back. The creature dragged him on to the floor and pinned him down, and attempted to bite him, but Lucas's reactions were quick enough the slam the creature in the face with his fist, drenching his hand in blood, more his than the creatures. He slammed the door shut and called the police, and received no answer. He gazed out of the window to see a scene of massacre, people fighting each other in bloodthirsty war, and thefts, and murder. Lucas needed to escape, he grabbed as many supplies as he could carry and shoved them into his car, then grabbed a revolver, something he had kept for protection, even though it was strictly banned, but now he really needed it. So he drove, and drove. To get away from the city and away from the fighting, somewhere safe, but soon enough he was ambushed by a group of MANiKin. He fought off the first few but was caught off guard, and was bitten and left to die. He woke up, with no idea how long he'd been out, but noticed his arm was as stiff as hell. It was made of porcelain, at first he was distraught, but he needed to keep moving. His car was gone, along with his supplies, all that was left were the clothes on his back and his revolver. After a week or so of travel he came across a place he could call home.

A Colt Anaconda, a hugely powerful revolver. For a normal human they would have to use both hands or risk breaking the users wrist, however his porcelain arm is strong enough to use it one handed. Although the revolver is the only weapon he carries with him, he is fairly efficient with nearly all firearms, except long-range rifles, as he is too impatient to use the hugely accurate weaponry.

/FIGHTING STYLE ➟
He has basic knowledge of firearms, so prefers to fight with them. He has learnt some melee combat since his arrival at the Utopia, although this is severly limited so he still prefers his revolver.

The only person he could remotely call a friend is the other Pawn, but he dislikes the other STRINGS, especially the Knight, for obvious reasons.

Physical appearance: Mikaela stands at a height of about five feet, six inches tall. Her skin is fairly pale, and her hair is a golden blonde color, cut fairly short in curls as to not get in her way while fighting. Her eyes are a shade of dark pink, often distracting her enemies as their coloring is somewhat...unusual.​

Clothing and accessories: Normally, Mikaela wears a puffy white blouse, with a stripe of black going down either shoulder (don't worry, it's normally closed) and on the collar. With it, she wears a black skirt, with a pair of black spandex shorts underneath, as to not expose anything when she's in battle. With that, she wears a red cloth around her waist and red shoes of the same shade. Before she left home after the Doll invasion, Mikaela grabbed one of her mother's necklaces to remember her by. To finish her ensemble off, she wears a large red flower in her hair.

/PERSONALITY ➟
General: Miki is normally a very sweet, well-mannered individual. At first, caring about nothing but defending the remaining humans from the Dolls. As of late, though, she considers her life somewhat boring. As such, she uses any excuse she can to practice fighting, as it at least gives her an adrenaline rush. She gets bored easily, especially when left alone, such as on missions, which often causes her to get a bit off-track and pick a fight with any doll that she can find.​

Mikaela lived a pretty above-average life in America from the time she was born until the Doll "invasion". She lived in a fairly large city, going to a pretty prestigious school, making lots of friends. Her parents worked non-stop, causing her to be left alone in her fairly large house alone with her nanny.

The night of the first Doll Invasion was one she'd never forget. Laying in her bed, she was startled awake by loud, wailing sirens that echoed throughout the city. She pulled open her bedroom curtains and watched in horror as civilians were being chased by...these...things! Things that didn't seem human.

She was distracted from the scene by the sound of her bedroom door creaking open, one of her more favorite ones. It was dark in her room, the light from the hallway making her nanny nothing more than a silhouette. As she opened her mouth to tell her nanny of what seemed to be going on outside, the nanny rushed at her with a large steak knife.

Screaming, Mikaela managed to avoid the doll-like monster and found a pair of metal poles that were laying around from the reconstruction of her family's basement, she found herself a pretty decent fighter. Getting a rush from fighting off the cleaning staff, Mikaela rushed back upstairs to fight the monster who used to be her nanny. The two fought for what seemed like hours before Mikaela claimed victory. Quickly, she packed fresh supplies into a backpack and set off, knowing full well that sticking around would result in her death. She left a note for her parents, for the slim chance that they also survived.

Wandering around the desolate streets, she got even better at fighting a few stray dolls, and eventually met up with a small group of survivors who she accompanied to Utopia. There, life seemed to flourish again. That is, until Miki saw what the "government" was doing to all the members of Utopia. She decided then to rebel against the corrupt government, and joined The CARDS, under the title of The Club.


/WEAPON ➟
Upon joining CARDS, Mikaela was gifted with a set of twin katanas named "Fate" and "Destiny". The two swords are in opposition to one another, with Fate having a dark contrast to Destiny.

The handle of Fate is black, with a single Club-shaped, dark purple crystal on it, with a set of bat-like wings sticking out of either side. The blade itself is also pretty intricately designed with tiny dark purple, Club-shaped crystals leading up in a curved line up to the tip of the blade.

The handle of Destiny is pure white, with a single golden Club-shaped crystal, as well as a pair of angelic-looking wings sticking out on either side. The blade itself is designed pretty similarly to Fate, except instead of dark purple crystals, the crystals on Destiny are of a golden color.

For long range attacks, Mikaela uses a pair of hand-held guns. They're nothing special, really, but do pretty good damage to dolls from far away. One gun is black with a white Club on it, while the other is white with a black Club on it.

/FIGHTING STYLE ➟
Mikaela is a pretty offensively based fighter, and as such prefers to use her swords to aid her in battle. Often, Mikaela will use one of her swords to block the attack of her opponent and use the other to strike where her opponent is left unguarded.

When it comes to her guns, Mikaela doesn't have much of a strategy other than "aim and fire", and as such, she normally just makes up her plan as she goes along.

/RELATIONSHIPS ➟
As a member of CARDS, Mikaela has a relationship with all of the other members. She admits, the Diamond does seem a bit crazy, but she likes the guy just fine. The Spade, well, he's the leader, and she respects him. Sometimes she thinks he's a little too hooked on trying to get back at the government for his little brother's death, though. Out of all the members of CARDS, the Heart is probably her favorite. He's really nice and sweet...he's just sort of a wimp. Her leaving him open in battle is just an attempt to toughen him up a bit.

Yes, Mikaela dislikes all the members of STRINGS, but no one gets her going quite like the Rook. All she wants from him is a good fight, since the Dolls and the lesser members of STRINGS prove little-to-no challenge for her these days.

Physical appearance: An Englishman, Cyril seems to have some traces of more northerly heritage in his blood, as his hair color can testify - his hair is a shade of very pale gold, almost silvery in appearance. It is of a medium length (though this is all relative, and his hair can be regarded as long among other males), usually well-brushed and left in a deliberate mess. His eyes are a typical dark brown, similar to the eye color about half of the world. He stands at 5' 10", and weighs approximately 140 pounds, somewhere in the middle for how much a male of his height should weigh.

Clothing and accessories: Cyril prefers formal attire at all times, as he believes it to be fit for almost any occasion where he does not have to exert himself very much. This consists of a white, long-sleeved shirt, a brown vest of polyester and wool with wool being the main component, and a pair of trousers, varying from pitch black to lighter shades of gray and blue. Finishing up his clothing he wears a pair of leather shoes (with the color once again open to debate) and a gray, checkered tie, though this may be substituted for a white or black bow tie if the occasion calls for one. Finally, for ornamentation and utility purposes, Cyril wears a belt with a rectangular buckle, a pair of amber-framed glasses lined with sterling, and a waterproof, stainless-steel watch with Roman numerals.

/PERSONALITY ➟
General: Cyril's crisp appearance (not including his hair) belies his personality. One would expect from what he is wearing that he would be a hard worker; it is quite the opposite. If he can find someone else to do his work, he will usually try to get said scapegoat to do so, and this is especially true when he orders the Pawns around. Furthermore, he puts off as much work as possible as often as possible. Still, just because he is lazy does not mean he is irresponsible, and before he "asks" someone else to do his work - a combination of blackmail and flawless conversation, really - he makes sure of that person's ability, and if that person is not up to the task, he will do it himself instead. He has a mind for setting traps and some battlefield strategy, which is part of the reason why he is the person directly making sure that the Pawns are fully exploited on the numerous hunts for Dolls in the first place, though he's not really happy about that and even cares a little for the Pawns' well-being. He has a weakness for beautiful women in general, and a policy for not harming females, though he does not usually attempt to pick up women whose ages vary too much from his own.

Cyril grew up in the university town of Cambridge, in England. His father was a chemistry professor, and his mother a private teacher of music. He began to learn the violin from his mother at four years of age, and though he was not particularly talented, he achieved a very competent skill level some ten to eleven years later, and after graduating from high school with above-average marks - his intellect was not sub-par or anything, after all, even though he was lazy - he decided to go to an American university. His father objected to this, and stated something about English universities being better than American ones, but he was ignored. While Cyril was in America, he took up longsword fencing. It was not a popular or well-known hobby, but it was something, and who wanted to be a conformist, anyway? He didn't. He routinely practiced some violin each day, due to force of habit, but he did not continue to advance his skill level with the instrument. The four years of university flew by quickly, and suddenly he was working for a corporation, climbing up the corporate ladder to an ever-increasing salary. He went to bars, socialized with women, and took them home sometimes; it was a fairly standard life. He was not entirely concerned when news of the MANiKin virus started to spread across the world - they were just porcelain dolls! How hard was it to kill them, really? But as the infection started to spread, he began to store more and more canned food and other imperishables in his apartment, and water purification solution eventually as well.

One day, when he looked outside the window, he saw porcelain figures chasing after humans, biting them, and then those humans began to chase after other humans... the MANiKins began to appear on the streets. Something peculiar was obviously going on, but he had no real attachment to the city, and with his mind in a frenzied state, he packed up some supplies (raiding the entirety of his refrigerator in the process), his violin, and he sharpened his longsword before bringing it along as well, and he fled the city in his car. He fought off Dolls in the American wilderness with his longsword, surviving on the imperishables and sometimes wildlife he could hunt down, until eventually he reached Utopia. There, he was recruited for STRINGS because of his ability to fight, and fight well, receiving training with a variety of guns in the process.

For close combat, Cyril carries a plain longsword at his side, its length one and a half times that of his outstretched arm. For long-ranged engagements, Cyril utilizes a modified assault rifle instead, sacrificing kinetic energy for heavier damage inflicted on the porcelain of the dolls with bullets weighing around 10g each.
/FIGHTING STYLE ➟
For large swarms of enemies, Cyril's first choice is to retreat and fight another day. However, if it is absolutely necessary for him to face down a mass of enemies, he would begin to fire rounds of ammunition when the enemies are a few hundred metres away until either the enemies retreat, meet defeat, or the survivors of his ranged assault reach him. Then he brings out his longsword and hacks through the torsos and heads of the porcelain Dolls, which seems to be a strategy that works well.

Physical appearance: Teddy is a bit short for someone his age, as well as having a generally scrawny build. He keeps his light brown hair as neat as possible, and even goes as far as to part it to the side. He is decidedly Caucasian, and his skin is extremely pale, which makes his deep brown, practically black, eyes stand out. His eyes are large and expressionate, as well as being extremely sensitive to light. Another noticable feature of Teddy's face is his prominent overbite, although he doesn't have buck teeth. Teddy doesn't have much muscle on him, and is fully aware of this. However, he would never take part in such "brutish" practices as working out or battle training. After all, he can get by with his agility and has at least a bit of wirey strength.

Clothing and accessories: Teddy prefers attire that he finds visually pleasing, rather than armored for battle. He sports a full set of black dress shoes, black dress pants, and a pure white, button up dress shirt. Of course, these rarely survive more than two or three fights and the reason Teddy keeps his clothes in such an immaculate state is that he has several sets of the same outfit. However, the one thing that he never replaces is his "light red" bowtie. An addition to Teddy's attire is a bracelet that sports a black heart symbol on it. He is completely unaware of the feminism in wearing this.

/PERSONALITY ➟
General: Teddy is wracked by inner suffering, despite his friendly appearance. He lost everything to the Dolls, and with it lost all hope of happiness. To hide, and in a way combat, these feelings of hopelessness, Teddy has given himself the task of making this dying world better for everyone else. Everyone. Viewing himself as a tool of The Spade to rid Utopia of the corrupted "government", Teddy rarely thinks of himself. If he did, he would have to deal with what he wants and how he feels about the state of the world. Teddy would rather not contemplate these things, and as such focuses on others. Deep down Teddy wants to calm his panic over what the world has become by having everyone around him in harmony. Still, the futility of this concept isn't unnoticable to Teddy. While the other suites forcus more on combat, Teddy prefers to talk through things and find a peaceful resolution to conflicts. Also, Teddy feels that civility is one of the last hopes of this world, which partly explains his wishes for harmony. In battle, Teddy is empathetic to his foes, rarely causing fatal damage.

Likes: Gentlemanly suits, civility, "proper" ladies, any types of gem stones, kittens, making others happy, the thrill of a good game of chess, and bow ties.
Dislikes: Rude people, "whorish" attire, dirt/grime/anything unclean, chaos, bright lights, the color orange, and having to tell people anything that might upset them.

Hobbies:
Chess, reading, anything having to do with hygene, and escaping reality in daydreams.

Strengths: Strong sense of morality (can also be a weakness in some instances), actively works to resolve conflicts between people, displays mercy (also, can be a weakness), posseses a talent for fixing wounds, persuasive, thinks ahead, and is nimble in battle.
Weaknesses: Very little raw strength, often afraid to disagree with others if it might cause conflict, afraid of doing things that could get his clothes dirty, not a great deal of willpower, despite his intelligence, will not physically protect others, doesn't always know when to leave people in a bad mood alone, and often wears his heart (get it? :D ) on his sleeve.

Fears: What the world has come to, becoming a Doll, dying, whether it be from violence or old age, and being alone.

A highly ornamental rapier sporting ruby symbols of Teddy's title within the CARDS on the silver hilt.

/FIGHTING STYLE ➟
Teddy prefers to avoid conflict when at all possible, but if backed into a corner he takes out his rapier to defend himself. The blade isn't very effective against opposing Dolls, and even against other humans Teddy can barely weild the thing efficiently. He mostly uses the weapon as a way to shield himself and keep foes at a distance. In short, Teddy is really just a distraction in a fight so that the other suites can have some breathing room, while Teddy flails around his rapier that is clearly just for looks, although he does excel at tripping up foes with the thin blade. Teddy is unable to use the proper form of rapier wielding, but he can miraculously still manage to deflect attacks with it from time to time as well as bring enemies to the ground by tripping them. Also, Teddy's wirey frame allows him to nimbly weave around opponents.

/RELATIONSHIPS ➟
Teddy's life revolves around others, yes, but how close he is to them is another matter entirely. Most of the people Teddy helps are faceless and mean nothing to him other than a way to give his life meaning. However, Teddy is close to the other suites within CARDS, since he often finds himself working on their wounds. Most of all he respects The Spade's purpose, and believes himself to be the only "true" follower of The Spades actual goal in the CARDS group. However, Teddy indulges in more centered thoughts by actually getting along quite well with The Diamond, even outside of helping him. Teddy doesn't support The Diamond's constant fighting, but goes by live and let live on this one, and the two could be considered friends. As for The Club, Teddy doesn't have much thoughts on her besides that it's unnerving when she seems to leave him open in battle to chase a different enemy.

Physical Appearance: A rather tall, Caucasian male with messed up hair briefly describes Amell. His hair is a light brown it drapes down onto his face causing him to have move it around a lot. Peeking from behind the soft, brown hair are curious hazelnut eyes that seem to have a glint in them. Weighing around 160 and he's 6'3, he's just the right weight for his height. Smiles rarely happen to see the light of day on Amell's face. Instead he is a straight-faced individual who usually frowning if anything.

Clothing and accessories: Usually not caring what he wears Amell just picked an outfit out of his closet and decided that was 'it', the one outfit he would wear. A crisp, forest green jacket that he kept up zip so it wouldn't resist his movements in the least. A thin,bright, yellow stripe right down the sleeves of his jacket, not that he even noticed them there. Around the collar and end of the jacket was a belt type thing that closed the jacket even more securely. Under the jacket he wore a plain white t-shirt which barely covered on his actual belt. Amell prefer jeans to anything else, shorts just weren't his style he didn't like his legs. Two long hanging necklaces fell from his neck, one was an angel wing craved out of ruby. The other was his parents wedding ring on just a plain gold necklace the only thing left of them. He wore black, leather boots since they could handle most terrain he chosen them especially for that reason.

/PERSONALITY ➟
General: Protector is what Amell feels like he has to be over his little sister, since his life now revolves her. After his parents death she was all he had, automatically the duty fell on him. He prefers to stay calm in most situations but his emotions can get out of control. Especially when someone threatens his sister, then he gets cold-hearted and out of control. When he's not worrying over his sister he can be found often talking to himself. Amell is gentle with the way he handles his sister but is a lot harsher to other people. He often wonders why it was him, why couldn't everyone be like this, why are there still humans?

Living in a suburban area in North America, Amell had an okay life, nothing was spectacular and no one stood out. Just him, his sister and his parents and he really couldn't ask for anything more. He went to school, and would have graduated if it wasn't for.... Before Amell really didn't care too much for his sister safety, she could fend for her self why did he need to bother. He didn't have many friends, everyone around there talked too much a trait that annoys Amell even to this day. Nothing could have prepared him for what was going to come, even if you had told him.

Amell walked his usual route from school, across the playground through the backyard of his neighbors and cut through his yard to get to his door. The weird thing was the door was already unlocked, he was always the first one home. He peered inside the door, everything was a wreck, broken furniture, paintings ripped off the wall. Pausing before taking another step into the house, screams were echoing off the wall. Mom! Dad! Dropping all his stuff, books, notebooks, paper and pencils scattered across the ground. He flew into the family room, where his Mom laid on the floor....dead? His father's body a few feet away...."Get away...." his father moaned, what? Suddenly, he felt teeth piercing his skin, then he was knocked unconscious.

Awaken to the sound of car alarms and more screams, his eyes fluttered open his father laid beside him. "Sister....save..." Amell didn't understand, what was happening to him, his arms weren't the same his legs started to shift as well. Amell and his sister left their home, upset about his unsettling transformation he needed someone who understand him. That's when he found Heaven and followed her wisdom, he wanted everyone to be like him. Doll.

Amell fights with a pair of tantōs, even though they are made for stabbing, Amell prefers to use them for slashing or even throwing he has deadly accuracy.

/FIGHTING STYLE ➟
Defensive tactics make of most of Amell fighting style, along with guarding his sister. He really doesn't have a strategy when it comes to fight but will come up with one in the middle of the battle. Amell tends to switch into offensive with a fury of attacks, he has no problem being a heartless killer.

/RELATIONSHIPS ➟
Earth - Younger sister
- Amell is over-protective, because that his sworn duty to protect her from anything and anyone.
Wind - Watcher (Over Wind)
- Amell really can't stand Wind's reservation to fighting and/or killing humans, why does he want to protect and save them? Amell thinks he's about as trustworthy as a snake left alone with a mouse when it's lunchtime. One thing he doesn't alone is his sister to be by Wind and will have no problem killing him.

How to make a Header image thing:
Please don't kill me if this doesn't work. This might be potentially useful to people who want a header.

1. Open Photoshop/GIMP/image-editing utility of choice.

2. Copy-paste your image into said program.

3. Make a circle, holding down the Shift key to make sure the circle is perfectly circular, in a new layer, making sure that the first layer is visible and that the circle holds the part of the character you want to put as your header (typically the head/shoulders, though your opinion may differ).

4. Make the actual image's layer invisible, and use a Magic Wand tool to mass-select the part of the image outside the circle on the layer with the circle.

5. Make the actual image's layer visible, and switch active layer to that layer.

6. Press the Delete key after making sure that the areas outside the circle are completely selected.
6a. Spray the image with effects and edit it an unspecified amount of times until you are satisfied with the result. Repeat the steps from 3 to 6 if necessary.

7. Resize to a height of 398 px, and add white (or rather transparent) space on the right side so as to accommodate the extra space that your character's name will take up.

8. Choose two (legible) fonts that you like, and do the layout for your character's first and last names on separate layers, possibly doing a little overlap between the two.

9. Save as the program's native format.
9a. Save as a PNG.
9b. Upload onto an image-sharing site and post the link.

Born in Paris, France to two loving parents and a mischievous older sister Claire was someone who had a happy life. Sure her grades weren't the best and maybe broke the rules from time to time but all and all Claire was living a pretty happy life. She would often cling to her older sister as someone to play with and made a hobby out of harassing her. At 11 years of age her parents sent Claire and her 15 year old sister to the United States to study abroad. It was also around then that Claire began following the stories about the Manikens. It was a story that peaked her interest and she often asked her sister why people were turning into dolls and attacking people. Her sister merely said it was. "Something you shouldn't worry about. Let's leave it at that." Despite her sisters words she was still extremely curious about, but soon she would come to regret that curiosity.

It was a rainy Saturday that Claire's world would be flipped upside down and changed forever. Claire clearly recalls it even to this day. Her sister had said she was going to the store to buy some popcorn for the two so that they could watch a marathon of scary movies. Excited Claire clung to the dorms front window eagerly awaiting her sisters return. When her sister returned merely a few minutes later her body was covered in bite marks and she was ordering her sister to barricade the doors and board up the windows because, "The world is ending." Claire did as she was told. She barricaded everything doors, windows, the fire place. Everything had some piece of furniture blocking it. Claire walked backed to where her sister lay only to be viciously attacked. No matter how Claire struggled she could not bring herself to attack her sister and she quickly blacked out and succumbed to the ManiKen virus.

She awoke to the gentle pitter patter of rain on her face. The barricades had failed and her home had been ransacked. She found her sister's porcelain body next to her limp and lifeless. It was apparent that her sister had been shot to death by someone. Scared and alone she took off into the streets looking for anyone that could help her. This is when she came into contact of Heaven who promised that she would stop everything bad that was happening. Believing her words, Claire joined the marionette's and pines for the day when all of the chaos is over.




/WEAPON ➟
Claire uses a rifle that is disguised as the stem of the parasol she is seen always carrying. She also uses well hidden traps to stall her opponent. These traps rarely are nothing more than hidden nets or pitfalls to buy her time to runaway and hide.(I'll edit it if this isn't possible.)
/FIGHTING STYLE ➟ Claire will use traps before she ever thinks about drawing her gun. She likes to hide her weapons just in case she is ambushed the enemy will think she has no weapon so in case she can't run away she can draw some sort of weapon if all else fails. If she HAS to fight she likes to use the method that causes the least amount of blood and is quick and painless.

/RELATIONSHIPS ➟
Wind - Claire became friends with Wind shortly after meeting Heaven. She can be a bit clinging towards him and loves to harass him and even considers it a hobby. She's afraid that he may come to hate her though seeing as he is one of her closest friends.

Heaven - Claire thinks of Heaven as her good friend and is fiercely loyal to her. Claire believes that if she follows Heaven that it will lead to peace and no one will have to die needlessly anymore.

Physical appearance: Hailing from middle-class Moscow, Russia, Iago stands at just under six foot tall; more accurately, five foot eleven. Caucasian skintone, pitch black hair and grey iris' make Ivan as monochromatic as his clothing choice.To start with, his hair is medium length, cut so that it brushes his eyebrows, creeps over his ears and just barely touches the collar of his shirt. The correct word to describe Ivan's hair would have to be 'whispy'; not only is it soft to the touch but it never sits flat aginst his scalp as if it is perpetually being blown by the wind. His eyes are a cold, piercing, steel-grey, 'cold as a midwinter's wind'as he so aptly describes them. Ivan prefers to have a clean shave as opposed to facial hair. Muscular in appearance, he weighs around eighty-six kilograms which, given his muscularity, is fairly average for his height. Scars from battles and instances of self harm are sporadic on Ivan's body, most of them originating on his arms.

Clothing and accessories: Monochromatic has always seemed to be Ivan's theme so why should he differ in his clothing? The most notable feeature of this would be his jet-black trench coat that ends half way down his shins. This trench coat is usually left undone allowing it to billow out behind Ivan when he walks and when there is a breeze. He prefers to have the collar down rather than up but neither ways really faze him. Under this he wear a white shirt, covered with diagonal grey stripes and dominated by faded, black Russian letters. Cargo pants are Ivan's preferred pants to wear due to their bagginess. The ones he wears now are his most favourite, tan cargo pants, ripped at the hem slightly. They cover his legs which he does not like showing but have three pockets on either side; two at the waist, two at the thighs and two smaller ones near the hem. At the end of his pants are black, tramping-like boots which he wears with white ankle socks, just barely visible but hidden when he stands up. As far as accessories go, he wears a silver analogue watch on his right hand and two stainless steel dog tags around his neck, both imprinted with his name and details.

/PERSONALITY ➟
General: Calculating is a pretty good word to describe Ivan, and along with cheerful pretty much outlines his whole personality. Ivan is constantly calculating, not in the mathematical sense but always trying to figure out people and watch what everyone does. Being cheerful, he likes it when people are reasonably happy as it makes him more happy. He likes to support non-aggresive options aswell as members of his group but when push comes to shove, he does end up fighting. He does not really want to agrivate Heaven as she has created somewhere where he feels reasonably accepted. His Pacifism grows from his aversion to killing humans as he believes that they are killing what they once were, as impractical. Ivan overall wants everone to get along and be peaceful but knows that this may never happen.

Middle-class Moscow was nothing special. Ivan mangaed to make his way through primary school pretty much unscathed and most of the way through intermediate too.His biggest problem came when he started attending high school, there he became the subject of bullying. Due to his pacifistic nature, Ivan was constantly bullied and refused to fight back, just taking the hits. He had no siblings and was very distant from his parents who worked all day and most of the night. Because he was such a cheerful guy, he made many friends although he was not very popular. During the half-year holidays, Ivan went searching for a martial arts club and came upon one that taught traditional Ninjutsu. Here he spent much of his after school time alongside going to the gym and managed to put on quite a bit of muscle. Another side effect was that he learnt many techniques for quickly taking down foes which he began to implement when being bullied and by the end of his last year at school, had fended off all thoes that opposed him. However, he was still quite pacifistic and often would sink into a very short, but deep depression, often inflicting wounds on himself as 'retribution' for injuring other people.

When the unfortunate news of his parents arrived, Ivan was not very saddened. His relationship with his parents had been sketchy at best and to be frank, he was quite busy with university. He attended their dual funeral and found out that they had been killed by a suicide bomber at the embassy. At this point in time, Ivan was at University studying Law, and with the money his parents left him, caught a plane to the United States of America and enrolled (with the help of money) in Harvard Law School.

Harvard was to be the place where he would undergo the biggest transformation if his life. He had met a very pretty American girl (who fire constantly reminds him of) and was on a date with her at a fancy restaurant. Here the restaurant was attacked by the "dolls" and Ivan was to endure watching the slow death of his girlfriend. Whilst watching the spreading pile of blood creep across the red carpet of the restaurant, Ivan went into shock from the amount of blood and quickly fell unconscious. When he woke up He body was beginning to change, in ways that he had not imagined. After the transformation had completed, he felt like an outcast, the transformation was unsettling. He soon came acroos the wisdom of Heaven and although he disagreed with her practices of violence, he decided that this was the only place he could feel fine.

In the pockets by the hem of his pants, Ivan carries several Kunai, small, steel Japanese fighting knives for protection. He uses them in close combat battle to quickly dispatch his opponent before they can reacet and before he begins to regret fighting.

/FIGHTING STYLE ➟
Ivan tries to read his opponent as much as he can. Due to extensive martial arts training before the "dolly-fication", he has very deadly martial arts skills, knowledge of pressure points and also close quarter fighting. He chooses to fight a quick battle, swiftly analysing the opponent before attacking them as to beat the regret that he has for killing things. He only fights when necessary and even then, with the least blood shed.

/RELATIONSHIPS ➟
Mountain ~ Wind's "Watcher"
- Ivan knows that he has to tread carefully with Mountain as one false move could result in his death. Like with the others, he cannot understand their violence to humans since they were once humans themselves. For the most of it, he tries to keep out of Mountains hair and way.

Fire
- Although he has a crush on her, he is scared of her personality. He knows that if he were ever to admit to Fire of his crush, she would quite literally kill him. Instead he opts to view her from a distance as well as day-dream about her.

Water
- Soon after meeting Heaven and consequently joining her, Ivan met water and the two soon became very close due to their personalities and their adversion to spilling blood. Ivan does not really like Heavens relationship with Water, but follows Heaven anyway.

Heaven
- Apart from following her as a Doll, he despises her ideaology of blood splatter and is sure that she does not trust him. However because Heaven provides the only place to truely belong, he followes her anyway.

Physical appearance:
At a glance, it would be hard to even fathom that this small girl of fourteen was the "leader" of all the manikins and the Marionettes. Ever-like a doll in appearance, Celia is very petite and slender, nearly the size of a child - though her attire does nothing to add age to her display. Her skin, pale as the cold moon, is composed of nothing but the hard material Manikins are composed of, her joints the ball joints of a doll. Her eyes large and lifeless, the eerieness is only accented by their bright purple colour that seems to glow in certain light. Out of all her aspects, though, Celia takes the most care of her hair, which long and flowing in nature is her pride and joy. She adores the dark purple colour of her locks, and makes sure to thoroughly brush it several times a day. It seems a little strange, but perhaps it's a habit from her past, human life. Due to her size, she is very fragile, which is the reason Lake constantly keeps an eye on her.

Clothing and accessories:
If it wasn't enough that she more or less looked like a living doll in body, she's certainly dressed the part as well. Celia wears a dress of typical gothic-lolita fashion. White frills protrude from a petticoat underneath the black of her skirt, white lines going horizonatally around the hem. White further decorates her torso on a blouse, being once again frilly and tucked underneath a black cloak adorned with the same white stripes as her dress. This is tied around her upper torso with two white bows, and it can also be used as a hood if she so desired (think of it like what Little Red Riding Hood wears in some interpretations. Attached to the lower of these two bows is a sting of golden circlets which make a complete circle around her body to attach on the other side of the bow. White stockings snake their way up her legs, and meet a pair of mary-janes that fit her feet perfectly. Also included in the girl's outfit is a black ribbon tied neatly around her neck, as well as a black cap with a white bow she wears atop her head. Celia also carries a white parasol for protection against the sunlight.

/PERSONALITY ➟
General: Celia's personality seems to be rather unstable, unfortunately for the members of Marionette. While a lot of the time she keeps to herself, holed up in her room, when she ventures outside to deal with matters regarding the organization, she could take on a variety of personalities. For example, sweet-Celia is when Celia acts nice and innocent in order to get the others on board, and she usually had ulterior motives. There's also a more straightforward Celia that has no qualms throwing her punches, not quite caring who she steamrolls over - friend or foe. Tantrums are a daily part of her activities, as when she doesn't get her own way she devolves into a more childlike behaviour. She doesn't like to speak her mind, so it's a little shocking when she conveys her fears or worries to other people. That in itself is proof that she maybe isn't completely inhuman.

Her curiosity in regards to manikins is unrivaled in the ranks of Marionette, which leads to many strange and unusual experiments by the small girl. At one point, she fused two of them together, while at another doing a brain transplant (which was successful)! She seems to have some sort of gift when it comes to reanimating the dead, but that's a secret only a select few have knowledge of, though it sure makes her gruesome experiments easier. Despite everything she says and does, she does have vulnerabilities. She is easily frightened when alone, to the point where she becomes overly paranoid of everything. As a result, the other members of Marionette sometimes wake in the morning to find her camped out asleep on their floor. She also doesn't know how to argue back when people disagree with her, and as a result Lake is forced to take the reign of the conversation.

The reason she is so strongly adverse against the survival of humans is simple: as long as both sides exist, conflict will remain. With most of the world's population already manikin, it would make sense to kill off those that are not. Plus, if she could accomplish this, the whole world would pretty much be her toy box!

While mindless, the monstrous manikins she creates possess a greater strength than the run-of-the-mill kind. They can be modified in many ways, so she finds it extremely fun to make bizarre combinations and then set them loose on the humans

Physical appearance: Julian has thick, wavy, jet black hair, he usually keeps it messy and does little to clean it up. Julian's hair hangs right above his eyes, it overlaps his ear and cover most of his neck. His eyes are dark blue, he personally describes them to the color of the deepest oceans, they carry an intense stare to them, almost as if he is staring past you. Julian's skin is pale than most others due to him staying inside most of the time. Most of these features is thanks to the Northern heridgte Julian has in his blood. He stands at about 5'8" and wieghts around 136 pounds exactly,he has a slim body build.

Clothing and accessories: Julian is usually seen wearing a long sleeve dark blue jacket stopping right above his waist (usually unzip), the jacket has three links going across his back to hold his Leona. Underneath his jacket he wears a white V-neck tucked into his pants for unknown reasons. He does take into account that he would have to be in fights to uphold his ideals, so on his shoulders he carries shoulder guards he had took from one of the guards he had fought and won against. His bottoms consist of blue jeans that begin to tighten up near the ankles. Julian isn't very picky about what he wears on his feet, white and blue sneakers should do for him. His Leona is usually placed closed to his shoulder for easy grab.

/PERSONALITY ➟
General: When Julian was a child he was a very kind and loving boy, he cared about his parents and brother above all others, and being respectful towards elders and those who upheld the law was a habit burn into him. He remain like this for most of his life, even through the MANiKin infection he remained innocent. His families upbringing and his constent caring for his brother made sure to this. Julian was to stay this way up until his brother would die do an goverment intervention. After the incident he would let the fire of revenge consume his normal persona, causing him to become more presevere, calm, and fearless. Do to this need for revenge he tends to dive into situations that could possibly kill him and sometimes others.

/HISTORY ➟
Julian grew up in the western united states, in a very mountainous and woody area. His mother was a nurse at an nearby hospital, there she helped the sickly, old , and the injured. Julian's father on the other hand is more like a stay at home mom, he tends to the cleaning, the cooking , and the daycare. Julian lived in a culdesac, surrounded by neighboring kids his age, he was never really lonely, he just always felt that way when he got home. His grandfather was an huge influence in his life, he was the reason why he took up the hobby of origami and swordplay. Julian's grandfather told him to practice origami for it teaches patience and peace of mind. Swordplay was there for protection only, he was to use this to protect what he deemed precious to him. Three months after Julian's seventh birthday his grandfather would die of multiple heart attacks. Julian sunk into a deep depression, once again being drowned in his loneliness. His parents seeing this decided to add a addition to the family, when he had found out his parents was having another baby, he became ecstatic. It almost seemed like he could see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Now that Julian had someone to spend time with in and outside, it seemed like time passed by rather quickly to him. He swiftly got through primary and middle school, now he had to tackle the challenge that was high school. One day after coming from his daily swordplay practice his little brother showed him the news of the MANiKin plaque spreading across the world. Julian laughed it off, why be afraid of a doll...if any show up i'll just beat'em up. He said this mainly to cheer up his frighten little brother, but his words were sincere and true. Although nothing could prepare him for what would happen several weeks later.

Julian's ears are filled with the muffled sounds of screams, he thought this was nothing more than kids playing out to late, he decided to ignore it and go back to sleep. It wasn't too long before he was shaken awake by a frighten and hysterical little brother, his words stumbled over each other as he tried to tell him to get out of bed. Julian knew his little brother and he wouldn't be this rampant about something minor. He quickly jumped out bed and found his mother and father, they told him to pack as little as possible and get into the car, the MANiKin plague had finally reached us. We barely escaped the plague, but we did make it. The family found what most called Utopia and had quickly adopted it as there home.

Life in Utopia was almost perfect, up until they went and made a corrupt government. They started enforcing unfair laws, and handing out severe punishments for breaking them. Julian's little brother was caught breaking the curfew once and was severely whipped for it, the resulting pain and injuries were to much for his small body, he soon died. The government denied it like it never happened, now Julian aims to take this government down, but he know's he won't be able to take it down alone. He needs others that shares his ideals of the government.





/WEAPON ➟
Julian carries around a custom made longsword, That he has named leona. The hilt is custom to be longer than most other hilts, its red in color, the guard was made to resemble two angel wings overlapping each other. The blade is black and is longer than a longsword but not quite as long as a nodachi. The blade usually rests on his back in the three loops on his jacket. Though he only uses it for special occasions. He'll usually use his fist and feet.
/FIGHTING STYLE ➟
Julian uses his speed and his sword to overwhelm single opponents, when large combat situations he depends on his teamates for help. He tries his best to remain at close combat, long range isn't exactly his forte. But usually he'll charge right into a fight.
/RELATIONSHIPS ➟
STRINGS- He shows complete malice towards them, he sees them as lap dogs for the corrupt government that killed his little brother. Though this is true he's not above helping them to protect the one defense of the MANiKin infection, besides his parents are still living there.

Physical appearance: Alex looks like your basic everyday teenager that you would see in Utopia. His height is five foot nine, most of that being in his legs to give him a smaller torso. His body is extremely toned, muscles being able to be seen on every part of his body. Raban's eyes are a piercing ruby red, a side effect to some of his bouts of insanity, but he enjoys them; it makes the humans fear him more. Through his trials, he keeps his hair short and a bit spiked. It is a bleached blond with white tinges on the sides. Usually Alex has a grin, except when it comes to fighting, then he's almost all serious.

Clothing and accessories: Alex embodies the American teenager in the way he dresses. His main shirt is any tee shirt he can find, it doesn't matter the color as long as it fits. This isn't seen as much however as most of the time he is wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt over it. The sweat shirt is baggy, to allow him to move in it yet still be comfortable in battle. His pants are black jeans, ripped at the points of his joints to give him more fluid motion. The most distinctive accessory he always wear are the gray metal gauntlets on both his hands, hiding the claws, and his pouch, where he keeps his other weapon.

/PERSONALITY➟
General: Alex Raban is the member of the group that everyone seems to be annoyed by, but can rely on in the pinch. He's not afraid to tell you what he thinks about you, or what he thinks about anyone else around you or him. Alex feels that honesty is the best policy in this case, and you won't doubt what he says is true. Since he finds his vocabulary one of his better traits, you will see him using words that mostly wouldn't make sense in the sentence to normal people, but gives him a perverse pleasure out of watching his companions figure them out. On the battlefield though, you can always count on Raban to give his all. To him, anyone who gets between him and his goal of total Doll takeover is an enemy that just needs to be destroyed. Perhaps that's the reason he became a Marionette; his thrive to take over.

/HISTORY ➟
Alex Raban started off as any normal boy with a working class father in the Sate of Colorado. He lived a pretty sheltered lifestyle, with his father being a miner who taught him the risks of his lifestyle. Raban also learned from his worker father the ability to talk straight, leaving nothing to the imagination; made them respect you more, his dad said. Listening to his father, Alex began working with the ores that he could pilfer from the rejects in the mine, learning the craft of metalwork. He never wanted an actual education in his small town; he wasn't even expected to go to school. The only text book that he ever read to him was an old dictionary he traded for one of his metalwork creations.

Of course in a small town like this, the people did not like the idea of a boy learning anything new and disrupting the status quo. Even his own father was against Alex's profession. The town began to shun him away from society, the kids stopping him at any moment to humiliate him and destroy his creations. That never deterred him from his metalwork. In fact it made him work harder to show the people around him that what he was doing was good for the community. Yet deep down he felt a small seed of hatred at his town for the fact that he was being discriminated against for knowledge.

Finally he was tired of the shunning of his peers and family. Alex moved out into the countryside, just a few miles from the town in order to get his materials. There he built another workshop where he could build in peace. The solitude made him hate the people who had forced him out even more. Raban began crafting weapons from the ore he could find and refine, These he kept stockpiled, for no other reason than that if any of the townsfolk tried to run him farther out to the desert, they should probably be prepared for a fight.

Then the Dolls came. They seemed to come from all sides around him, walking past his shop and area. Alex couldn't believe what he was seeing in front of him, walking dolls; the news of the infection had been in the city for a while, but no one had bothered to tell Raban. He tried to stay low, seeing the murderous look in their eyes. However, one of the army saw him, breaking off from the pack at a sprint towards the metalworker. Knowing from the look that this creature would only stop if he was dead or it was destroyed, he ran into the armory where he was able to find his favorite weapon, the metal claws. The Doll launched forward just as Alex was turning around, catching him off guard. He felt some sort of teeth dig into his shoulder, an unbearable pain as he slashed out with his other hand, ripping his claw across the face. As it lurched back, scars forming on the porcelain, Raban kept on the offensive, stabbing and ripping into the Doll. Soon, he felt the creature underneath him fall limp, the limbs ripped apart and face unidentifiable. Alex stood up, feeling the pain deep into his shoulder. But he knew that the town was in danger. No matter what they had done to him before, he had to help them somehow, and he had all the weapons he had made. Loading all of them into his truck, he began to drive to the town, running over as many of the monstrosities as he could.

Finally he got to the town, seeing that his truck had been able to make it before the rest of the Dolls. He saw that everything seemed a bit different: the buildings were boarded up, the streets were beginning to be sandbagged, and the citizens were all standing at the back gate. Alex drove into the fray and jumped out, expecting for the crowd to finally be happy to see him. After all, he was here to save the day. It was the exact opposite however; they knew about the infection, unlike him. When they saw that he had already been bitten by a Doll, they attacked him instead. grabbing his own weaponry and turning it against him. Raban ran, dodging the attacks of the townsfolk and making it to the outside, where they proceeded to lock the gate behind him, leaving him in front of the Dolls.

Alex couldn't believe it, the one time he tries to be a hero, helping the people that had sent him away. But no, they had just shunned him again. That was the final straw for him. He learned all he could about the Dolls, and when he realized that he kept his humanity throughout the transformation, he vowed to destroy the people that had shunned him in all the times he had tried to help. It wouldn't just be his town; the entire human population would be destroyed in revenge for his isolation.


/WEAPON ➟
Alex chose his arsenal in the way that they would most likely be able to catch the humans off guard. His main weapon choice are his custom made metal claws for his hands. The points are made of the best steel he could find, the same stuff made into STRINGS swords he salvaged off of them. The points dip downward to create the ripping effect of cats. The claws are retractable, able to be worn at all times. For long range, Alex also crafted a half dozen Chakrams from the parts of fallen Dolls. The lightness of the material yet durability strength made them the perfect replacement for hard to come by Indian steel. These he has sharpened to a lethal point on all sides, and can throw with deadly accuracy.

/FIGHTING STYLE ➟
Alex's fit on the battlefield is that of a hybrid. When they first enter the battle (if he has not entered into his murderous rage), he will launch two or three of his chakrams at who he feels are the biggest threat to him or his companions. If possible it will be at the neck or heart for a killing blow, but if the opponent is wearing armor that covers that, the sword arm is his second choice. After the main threats are taken care of, he becomes a guerrilla style attacker, launching in with his sharpened claws when the enemy is distracted, ripping away in short bursts before jumping back, retrieving his chakrams for second use. If his chakrams are irretrievable, he goes into a dodge and attack style, staying close to sword wielders and hacking away at exposed body parts or armor, trying to finish off quickly.

/RELATIONSHIPS ➟
Fire: Lightning and Fire both shared the ideal that they are perhaps better than their Marionette counterparts, so a slight friendship was created
