Rocket Grunt
Name: Jericho Turner
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Rank: Grunt
Personality: During the majority of the time, especially since his entrance to the ranks of Neo Rocket, Jericho acts in an ever-so-slightly gruff, no-nonsense matter. He maintains a cynical and sarcastic (If any) sense of humour about the current situation, dropping the occasional 'smart' comment about an idea or plan should it seem too absurd or insane. Obviously though, if this is given directly from a Neo-Rocket member, he holds off on any of these mutterings for obvious reasons. Being a Neo-Rocket grunt for some time now, he keeps a slightly harsher than usual frame of mind when dealing with a foe in an attempt to allow himself to go all out rather than become more relaxed and light-hearted in the battle.
Attempting to uphold what he believes is right was swiftly replaced with upholding what Neo Rocket believes is right as is the way with these things. This change is not necessarily made out of free will, but more in order to blend in with the others in the 'gang'.
Occasionally being a little too ruthless towards his enemies, it's just another side affect of being partially alienated by Neo-rocket, but to be honest, he doesn't bother holding back unless he has a reason too. In short, he can be friendly should he need to be, although would much prefer to act a little less sociable than truly needed.
Appearance:
History: Born along the lower ridge of Blackthorn City into the average family, life was simple for Jericho. A simple life, with a simple family and simple neighbours. Life would have been perfect for most people, but Jericho never really found this to his liking. As is tradition with many who live in Blackthorn, he was taught the basics of Pokémon battling at a young age, and often trained with his father's Machop, which has been known as a useful starter for beginners. This training gave Jericho a little extra boost in moral throughout the next few years, which was beneficial in both school grades and all around enthusiasm. His practise also swayed him a little towards fighting-types, which have since then become his favourite type.
This was further re-enforced by the fact that upon his seventh birthday, he began to practise martial arts, the most primary being Hapkido, a form of martial arts which has 'borrowed' techniques from a variety of others, which he surprisingly excelled at.
His relationship with others at the local school was roughly average. He had a select group of a few friends, which while it very rarely expanded; the links between his friends were kept strong. His grades at school weren't hugely different either, keeping a consistent middle throughout most of his lessons, minus PE (Or Gym if you're American...) due to his previous training.
It was on his ninth birthday that he was handed an Egg from his parents. It was a creamy pink colour, with the lower half turning into a chocolate brown, bordered with a bandage like addition. Jericho cared for the egg as much as he could, and often took it for routine trips around the town. Many of the other kids around his age had already received their own Pokémon, but Jericho had seen anyone else with a Pokémon egg, which gave him a slight sense of pride. A few weeks later, he was awoken by the blitzing light from the egg. As it formed, another shock arrived, as it actually hatched into two Pokémon. They were both identical, although Jericho soon found a way to distinguish them. Ike, the more tactical of the two wore a red sweatband around his wrist, while Ryo wore a blue one. In all honesty, their personalities were enough to distinguish them, with Ike taking life slower than Ryo who simply ran into any situation arms flailing, hypothetically of course.
Still exstatic about his new Pokémon, the next few years ran past a little faster than usual, but were much the same, until of course a few complications arose. His mother and father separated whilst he was twelve, which meant he travelled between Blackthorn and his mother's new home in Mahogany town, northwest of his usual home. It was an awkward arrangement, but Jericho had never been too bothered by it.
It was during one recruitment rally on the outskirts of Mahogany that had him dragged into the ranks of Team Rocket. It wasn't much of his decision as it was a random impulse. Either way, he didn't mind the job, and his new-found sense of power made the days a little more interesting to him. After a few weeks, his previous cheerful personality started to turn a little darker than usual. He became a little darker, and more serious than before, although he simply shrugged it off as getting caught up in the moment. Ike, following in his trainers footsteps, started to become a little more corrupt just like his trainer did.
Just a few days later, during one of his larger contracts at Ecruteak, both of his Pokémon evolved, into their respectable evolutions (Specified below). And a few after once more, the events of this RPG take place.
Pokémon
Species: Hitmonchan
Nickname: Ike
Gender: Male
Nature: Bold
Ability: IronFist
Personality: The first of the twin Hitmons. Rather than his brother, Ike takes things slowly, planning, stalling, and then striking when the time is right. He's one of the few intelligent fighting-types, and Jericho has been known to let Ike plan for himself during battles rather than him doing it, as occasionally Ike plays that role better. While not as physically strong as his brother, his planning skills during a fight does make him more dangerous. After Jericho's joining of the Rocket ranks, he has become a little darker and harsher than usual. While it may be just an attempt to impress Jericho, it has made him the preferred of the two fighting-type when Jericho needs to chose between the two. He has been known to yell at his brother should he mess things up, which tends to happen a lot.
Species: Hitmonlee
Nickname: Ryo
Gender: Male
Nature: Hasty
Ability: Reckless
Personality: The second of the Fighting-type brothers. Being a lot more reckless and more offensively styled than his brother, an evolution into a Hitmonlee was inevitable. Ryo lives up to both his Hasty nature and his Reckless ability. His attacks are fiercely powerful, although planning has never been his greatest asset, and must rely on either Jericho or Ike for an order which will not result in a degrading outcome. Yes, he's the typical reckless fighting type, although he is a loyal Pokémon. If he weren't he would have followed Jericho into the abyss of ranks that composed Team Rocket. Unfortunately for Jericho and Ike, he is the most likely to disobey orders from either of them too. This may be due to the fact he has started to question the orders from the higher-up members of Neo Rocket, which has lead Jericho to keep him on a shorter leash than usual.
