Man, I remember being in the top 15 posters at one point. Gotta get posting again, I got about a year or two of catching up to do...

Yeah, I'm back. Just checked the post count list, I'm on page 3 at the minute, so a bit of catching up to do (nearest rival is only 100 posts ahead of me, that won't take too long to manage).
 
Once a Pokemon knows a move, the games consider it legal even if it isn't (which is why you get XD adding extra moves onto Pokemon with no trouble.) It's just how you get there that's the problem.

Besides, I'd rather let Metagross do the Meteor Mashing. (although Jirachi's 100 base Attack isn't too bad either) Give Jirachi Calm Mind and some Special attacks for a better time. Wish is fun too.

Meteor Mash is just to raise Attack sometimes :P

I was going to teach Jirachi Thunder but I can't find/or there isn't a code to change it's Ability to Drizzle.

On another note, my Brother swapped his phone with some guy for a laptop!

A LAPTOP!!!! O_O
 
Okay... that's a lucky deal.

BTW I think Jirachi can learn Ice Punch in Emerald, teach it that over Meteor Mash. It'll do better with Calm Mind. The Attack boosts from Meteor Mash only boost your Meteor Mash, and besides, lots of things resist Steel type attacks (Water, Fire, Steel to name but a few). With an Ice attack and Psychic, the only thing that can stop you is Shedinja (and there are plenty of ways to deal 1 HP to these Pokemon), or possibly Magneton if he gets lucky (has Magnet Pull as well to keep you in play, plus Metal Sound + Thunder hurts even a Jirachi).
 
I'd rather use legal movesets, but whatever works for you.
 
Wow.. Talking about pokemon on the DCC, never seen that much here before. lol
