I hate the Shy Guys. I used to play Luigi's Mansion a lot, and I was stuck on the part where you've got to suck off all their masks and then suck up those dancing ghosts. And I used to play it at night and get really depressed... the whole game is depressing >< And the Shy Guys freaked me out.
[Ehh, those clockwork soldiers were harder, though ;;]

I got depressed playing Mario Kart: Double Dash, too. I have no idea why, as it's quite easily the prettiest, most colourful, happiest game out there... maybe o_O but still, it's not depressing in the slightest XD I depress myself, I think.
