You get it before the battle, and anyway, I don't think Limit Breaks really work that way. I had full HP recovered with Potions right before the battle, and within two turns, I hadn't taken any damage (the thing used its Search Scope) and Barret had his Limit Breaker. Its the evil Tail Laser rush that I'm afraid of. Once it starts, it doesn't stop, and it deals 75 damage each time. Its a huge amount for me right now, and that's why I die quickly once it starts.

And Psycho, actually, I meant its an old game to me 'cause I know when its been released (FYI: 1997). I got it a few days ago. o_o

have you passed it yet?
anyway the trick it to attck with one charcter and heal with the other ...and someetimes guess which vcharacter will get killed or attcked..

Anyway, old games are fun ~ especially good when you'd want to get back into a game series of which you've played only the new titles of. And well, the FF title is very long, which is why I'm trying to play all the games so I know the whole story. I mean, what's the good of playing a series without knowing every bit of it?

No, I am actually quite the opposite. I'm more of a mellow and laid-back type of person. Whatever gave you the notion that I was emo? ._.

I'm not an indepth gamer of that sort, I don't follow series unless it greatly piques my interest. I do, however, love to play classic games, such as: Pac man, Pole Position II, Excite Bike, Tron, Kirby, Galaga, KO Kangaroo, Super Mario, and a plethora of others. Though, games with such frivolous details, aside from .hack, do not appeal to my tastes. I tend to play most games for the amusement of exiting reality, not the story itself.

Beating the Scorpion Boss is quite easy.

Have Barret attack while Cloud uses Bolt Magic, and when he raises his tail DON'T ATTACK! Either use Defend command (press left I believe), or healing using potions, and after a while he will drop his tail again and you can attack normally. He has 1200 HP, and Cloud does around 90-100 with Bolt and Barret about 40-50 with his attack. If you get a limit break, wait until his tail is down before using it.

Man, it's weird the stuff you remember. Especially having not played FFVII for about 5 years or so.

It is. I'd rather have liked it to be more RPG than strategy-based action.
I want cool games like Fable now..

oh thats right i switched materia with barett too.. so i had cure .... i hate using items xP

IIRC, you pick up the Cure materia just before the Scorpion boss, but you can't equip until afterwards (since you can't change Materia yet).
