    I'm not technically liking the backgrounds, it grasps more of my attention than the actual comic, plus IMO I don't think it looks nice with the sprites. Plus it lacks humour, and interest. I can't say it's good, or bad, but I'd like to see more from this comic.

    Eh. <.< I just did this for fun anyways. might do more with a classic background but this is what I worked with. <.<
     
    *salutes* nice work Mr. Vice President. But somethings missing, I just dont know wats missing

    Not all sprite comics have to rely on corny humor, some have a story that makes more than up for it.

    I'd suggest you use Mario styled background, or something that matches the sprites more.
    Also it would be a good idea to use speech bubbles and not just text, as it's sometimes hard to read the text on certain backgrounds, plus text without bubbles look crap, honestly.

    One thing that kills comics is mixing styles.
    Real life backrounds + Mario 3 Sprites + Pokemon Sprites = not that great. Remember, Pokemon style is RPG format, while Mario 3 is platform.
    The humor is overused......really....The one where Hammer Bros Mario got scared by the ghost, and then Super Mario payed him.....I've seen that alot...and it's not funny.
    Even though you might expect me to go on and on about no text bubbles, I won't. Cuz it works well. Simple,but not below the text like the majoraty of the comics here. But try to make speech bubbles. Cuz the comic will look better with them.
    To fix the backround problem, use www.bghq.com . Go to SNES then Super Mario Bros 3. Some nice ones there.
    I gotta complain about the cast though....really...All of them are Mario? I know this is a random comic.....but dude....ALL OF THEM? It may of worked in Legend of Zelda.....but not here...

    How dare you taint the sanctity of the sprite comic forum with your comics of whim.
     
    Use speech bubbles. I know nothing about Mario, so I can't properly grade this. Don't mix real-life backgrounds with sprites and Allstories, you could at least say what you don't like about the comics. T_T

    So you've never played a Mario game in your life? thats kinda sad. sorry for the ooftopic but this was an important question.
     
    Actually, I played MarioKart. ONCE. And that's all I know.
