    while i was reading the ep summary of the bullet seed episode on serebii.net it never mentioned masato but it did mention a "max" several times. can someone explain this to me. is max masato's confirmed dub name or somethin?
    someone help me!!!

    i didn't say it was for certain, it's just it was on serebii.net so i wanted to know what's up.

    I believe Max was the dub name of the German version of Advanced Generation. As far as I know it is nor confirm nor denied that it will be his English dub name. Personally I prefer the name Masato too.
     
    Max ain't that bad of a name. It's better than some of teh dub names I've heard. o.x Although, I love teh name Masato. <3 It's really fun to say too. ^_^
    I wonder if teh English dubbers will make it Max too? I'm sort of iffy on if I'd really like it or not, but that's just me.

    God, I hate that they named him 'Maxie'. >_< It sounds like a feminine product. o_o;; Plus, it made me think he was a chick for teh longest time.
     
    I honestly don't care wht the dub name is, I just get used to it because that's what I ave to get used to saying instead of "Masato" and besides, you know that it's inevitable that they will change his name in the dub because 4kids is trying to destroy all Japanese cultural references in the Pok?mon anime...including all asian-sounding names...

    WHA--? Max? Tha's an unkawaii name.. I'm not really surea bout that.. *stares at Lance avatar and hugs it* I'm sorry I'm doing this repeatedly, I just LOOOOVE Wataru!!

    the evil dub names are MUCH easier to remember and pronounce..

    Hazuki = Harrison?

    Wasn't that name already used? Harrison was the guy who battled Misty during the Whirl Cup.

    it is true because today i got the official pokemon advanced pokedex and it says on page 6 "Max is Mays younger brother! He's a mini-pokemon expert in training!

    stick to the japanese names people! (i'll also try to get into the habit of calling Ash, Misty and Brock Satoshi, Kasumi and Takeshi. And for Musashi and Kojirou too)

    the dub names are always terrible... oh gosh!
    -sadly Harrison is Hazuki's official name... terrible dubbing terrible dubbing!

    Whats wrong with Harrison? Its such a beautiful name and it suits him well. Hazuki would've been better though

    anyway i don't know about the name max it would be kinda weird if the gang meets up with maxie and masato talks alot:
    "wow, maxie looks ugly"
    "your right max"
    uuueewwh
    it just seems so neugi*


    *neugi means buttery or weird sounding in korean. n_n
     
    *sighs* That's what I hate about the American dubbing. They erase the Japanese culture! (Well, except for the kimono's and stuff) x_x In the "Ghost of Maiden's Peak" the even replaced Japanese money with a penny! x_x; I hate American dubbing... *Grrrr....*
    Max+Masato? o.o I hate the name "Ash" more (no offence) ._.
     
    i actually remeber in the viridian forest samurai ep. they showed a hint of ash's japanese name (on ash's sleeping bag it said satoshi, that had me scratching my head for a while before i knew so much about pkmn).
