Anyways, will you be participating? What kind of team will you be using? How do you feel about the format/regulations?

Thanks for promoting this, this saves us some work :P

One point that is bothering us a bit is the time restrictions for Juniors. It seems to be a bit arbitrary.

You should mention the gimmink that Nature Power turns into Earthquake. Crawdaunt, Ferrothorn, Victribeel and Leafeon probably can put it into use.
Crawdaunt misses coverage on Ferrothorn for hurting Aegislash without having to run straight into King's Shield.
Ferrothorn in particular now can hit Aegislash after it changes its stance thanks to its lower speed and deals good 74.2 - 87.4% on the 252 Aegislash (almost 50% OHKO on the one without HP).
Physically based Victribeel is now not totally inferior to Venusaur - well, Weather Ball allows you to do heavy damage to Amoonguss who otherwise walls Venusaur.
Leafeon now actually has coverage *shock*. It is the strongest and fastest Chrolophyll user behind Jumpfull, who has speed but little in offense. Too bad it is still lacking behind; stick to Venusaur and Victribeel.

I assume it's because of some anti-addiction laws that exist in South Korea and possibly elsewhere. For example, online games shut down their Korean servers at night. I guess they're just following this trend.

Yeah, all of those specific details are covered in regulations page; https://www.pokemon.com/us/pgl/2014-international-challenge-may/

Since the time limit is 15 minutes for battles, I'm expecting a lot of stall/perish trap this time around.

I'll be using this as a chance to try my new VGC team, running an experimental Medicham set, which so far has tested pretty well on Showdown. I was quite surprised with how well it works in tandem with Talonflame, although it does have a few holes I need to cover.

Okay, this isn't funny. I went to go register and Global Link isn't logging me in. What a nice time for the system to go down. >:l

Just a reminder: The registration period lasts 5 more days, and the competition begins immediately after!

It's also been confirmed that players will recieve an Enigma Berry just for participating!

It seems to be working now. I was having issues, too, but I was able to sign up just now.

International Challenge has officially started, so get out there and battol! If you see someone named Makori, that's me because I had to register with my copy of X... which is set to German fml.

Despite the video's speed, this battle turned into a timer stall in the end. I was dead-set on trying to cripple that Rotom and was getting impatient at his stalling until I noticed the timer was in the red... at something like 1:15 left on the timer. At that point he was at full health while my Venusaur was lower health from burn. Had he NOT used Thunderbolt and instead opted for a shot at a second Protect, I might have lost the battle. So heart-wrenching for him, so heart-dropping for me. Brr! Hoping not to have another battle like that one!

Unfortunately (for me) the quality of battlers tonight seem to be very, very good. Normally in an event like this, you get a very eclectic mix of players on the first day and the quality of players improve thereafter. Well, guess the CP is drawing all the good people out.

So I just faced someone who led with a Sylveon holding Leftovers that outsped and OHKO'd my Kanga and Aerodactyl. Sounds legit, lol.

    Anyways, I only had two pretty intense battles;

    R88G-WWWW-WWW7E3JF
    ULZW-WWWW-WWW7-E5QA

They're were pretty close, worth a watch. I ended the night at 10-3. Could have easily been 13-0 but that's life lol.
