Maybe one more time?

Okay, since this is clearly the proper place to post and I can't see any reason why it'd be important to post this somewhere else.. I'll try reposting it here. After research the only possible rule I could have possibly broken was not having a sixth listed, which is a bit rediculous as that's a rule that shouldn't exist in this section, as where should someone post if they don't HAVE a sixth and they need to figure out where to post? So, for the time being, I'll take my original post and just throw rattata in the list.

    "I have:

    Monferno
    Staravia
    Quagsire
    Bayleef
    Haunter
    Rattata

What I need to know is, are there any in there that should be removed? What poke should go in my 6th slot? I'm currently at Mahogany in game, so I have access to everything before that. I'd be cool with trading but I don't really have anything to trade haha. In my last post I listed off everything I had in my PC too but that got deleted and I just don't feel like posting it again.

Thanks in advance. I'm pretty new and pretty lost on this. What I'm basically looking for is having a poke to use against every type, at least one."

The last thread got a reply before a mod locked it because I didn't have a sixth pokemon listed (lol). So, What should go where the rattata is? I already got a suggestion for a Psychic but I want to make sure that's proper. Thanks.

Where would I get a fill in with Ice/Dragon type? I need something remotely within my reach, and as I said I'm already at Mahogany. I've already went and gotten fly and surf and whatnot. So anything that's getable up to that point would be nice. Or, within near reach. I really don't like catching a ton of pokemon until after the game is beaten, I much prefer to try to catch as LITTLE as possible and use only those ones until the game is beaten. =)

Thanks for the post! Also, would Monferno be ABLE to solo Pryce? I usually do end up doing gyms with a single pokemon, with maybe a little help here and there from others if for some reason it gets KOd.

First, evolve what you can. By Mahogany, most of your Pokemon should be past level 36 and whatnot. Species wise, your team is fine (except Rattata, lol).

Second, since you have Monferno/Staravia, can you trade to DPPt? Transfer some cool monsters from there...?

Infernape can probably solo Pryce. Try something like Close Combat / Flamethrower / Grass Knot etc. Pryce is weak to fighting, fire, and grass. Oh and electric (seel/dewgong).

I recommend getting a Mareep/Flaffy (Route 42). Most of Pryce/Clair's trainers have dumb waters like Dewgong, Seadra, etc, so pack an electric type. If you keep Mareep around until level 41, it will learn Power Gem, which is another cool move...

Sneasel is meh unless you can get a Weavile (Razor Claw) and then Ice Punch (egg move or tutor).

The rattata is really just there so I have a sixth pokemon to follow the forum rules. It's actually PC'd -_^

I can trade from Diamond as I own diamond, but I transfered everything I had on Diamond, I didn't play too long. Got to around that one mine city. Set it down, then never touched it again. Eventually Heart Gold and Soul Silver came out and I loved the originals so I bought a copy.

I have an Electric in my PC, Luxio or something like that? Looks kinda like a cat or something. I don't have all of the new pokemon fully memorized. So I could go for that if you think that'd be better than the Flaffy.

I prefer Ampharos over Luxray. The latter struggles using its lovely attack stat (Luxray's options would be Spark, Return, Crunch, Ice Fang, lol). However, Luxray is faster, albeit less bulkier. Your call. Quick kill or some bulk on your team. So far, your only bulk is Quagsire.

Hmm cool stuff from Diamond... Bronzong, Metagross, or Lucario? I think Steel would be fine for breathing room against Ice/Dragon leaders. Or try Magnezone if you are brave plus covering the electric issue. It resists 13/17 types.

Actually yes, I have a Bronzong (Just looked it up on that Bulbepedia, I actually have the one that Bronzong evolves from).

Ampharos looks good right about now
