Me First?

    I need a bit more info on this move.

    A - does your Pokemon have to be faster or slower than the Pokemon who is launching the attack aimed at you for the Me First move to take effect?

    B - is it worth it in competitive Wi-Fi battles?
     
    A- No, Me First always goes... first... and it copies the incoming attack at 150% power, provided that the attack is a damaging move to begin with.

    B- Sometimes, if your prediction skills are exceptional.

    Example:
    Lucario used Me First!
    Lucario used Earthquake! (At 150 Power)
    Foe Metagross fainted!

    Something like that would happen.
     
    Exactly! That's a marvelous example. And if Lucario were the one to use it... Imagine, it would have the 50% damage bonus, another one from STAB, and would do 4x damage to Weavile. 8x damage? OUCH.
     
    Well, I don't think Lucario'd die from a Brick Break though... Next turn, Vacuum Wave. /gg

    Oh, I'm sorry about that! I'll remember it in future ^_^

    Oh, of a moveset for a Lucario I was thinking of...

    Close Combat - Lucario's main attack move if Me First isn't appropriate, or Blissey makes an appearance.
    Swords Dance - a turn wasting move while you set up other tactics. Also can be used to build up power for Close Combat and Reversal.
    Reversal - pretty much Lucario's parting shot.
    Me First - Lucario's main form of attack. Also used to stop opponent attacks and reflect them back at them. Would work wonders with a sweeper such as Garchomp whose using attacks like Dragon Claw, Dragon Rush or Draco Meteor.

    What do you guys think of that set?
    (EVs/IVs would be based in Attack/Speed, and Life Orb)
     
    The Special Lucario works better, but the Physical side has its own fun surprises.

    Lucario @ Expert Belt
    Trait: Inner Focus
    Adamant Nature
    - Close Combat
    - Swords Dance
    - Rock Slide / Blaze Kick
    - Extremespeed / Bullet Punch

    Side note: Me First doesn't cancel your opponent's attacks, it just uses them at a more powerful scale. Also, Garchomp wouldn't use any Dragon-type moves on Lucario since Lucario resists them. Me First wouldn't work in that situation.

    But it will use EQ, which -if used by Lucario at 150 Power- can be painful if you use an Adamant one with Max Atk and Life Orb... I think I'll go for one :P.
     
    I was thinking of using a pokemon with this move as well it seems really good. More specificly a slowbro/slowking with it :)
     
    yea... but be careful with the whole Me First concept.... I don't float with it because it's not too dependable...however, when it works, it is quite an effective counter attack.

    let's say Lucario uses Me First on an Aerodactyl that's using Earthquake.....
    Me first on a Spirit Tomb using Psychic
    Me First on a Jolteon using Thunderbolt...

    you get the idea...
     
    NOTICE: Me First does NOT go first. In order for it to be effective, the user must be fast. It's speed priority is normal. But anyway, ecause of its decent speed, Lucario is a deent Me First-er.

    BTW, a Weavle once OHKOed my Lucario with Brick Break, but it was a Critical Hit.
