Mega Pidgeot and Mega Steelix

Pidgeotite and Steelixite are now usable on Pokémon Showdown.

Personally, I don't see either of them doing much at the moment, at least not in OU. Mega Steelix has a pretty bad ability in Sand Force, is super slow, and is weak to a lot of the common offensive typings. Mega Pidgeot is fast and has a reliable STAB in Hurricane, but is outsped by a lot of common Pokémon like Pheromosa, Tapu Koko, and Greninja. Mega Pidgeot's Special Attack is also only a bit above average, and with no item it lacks even more damage - even after Stealth Rock damage, Physically Defensive Toxapex still has a chance to live 2 Hurricanes!

But what about you guys? What kind of impact do you think Mega Pidgeot and Mega Steelix will have?

Could M-Steelix see use as a check for Tapu Koko/Lele?

I agree on all points really though. I don't expect either to be higher than UU. I could even see M-Steelix returning to RU.

I share the same thoughts as Aurora really. I felt like last gen MPidge was OK, but was outclassed by Tornadus(even with the shaky Hurricane accuracy). Sure it has a few niches such as defog and No Guard, but lacks in offensive power. I think it goes to UU.

Maybe M Steelix will make a comeback in TR teams. That'd be neat.

M Pidgeot will continue to be a nice novelty, but Heatran and Tyranitar are still in the top 25. On the bright side they're easy to wear down. Zapdos is a hard counter too, which is pretty popular right now.
