Mega Pokemon Concepts

    Hey all!

    Not sure if this is the right forum, but I see the PC pokedex here so I assume this is the right place.

    I've been thinking about some Pokemon that deserve Mega forms, and I did a couple of sketches. I was wondering if anyone else has been doing these, and we could all share our Mega concepts.

    First, I've always thought Jynx needed a boost, so here's Mega Jynx:
    Spoiler:

    Type: Ice/Fairy
    Ability: Dry Skin

    Second, people always talk about a Rapidash "pegasus" evo, so this one was very simple:

    Type: Fire/Flying
    Ability: Flash Fire

    Finally, I know none of us like to evolve our Pikachus, but wouldn't it be cool if he got a boost while in battle? My version of Mega Pikachu:

    Type: Electric/Dark
    Ability: Lightning Rod

    Please share your opinions, concepts, and sketches!
     
    I like the Rapidash sketch, but I'm not sure about the Pikachu. Do a Gengar one

    Yeah I expected the Pikachu one to be polarizing haha...

    Gengar is a good candidate since he's so plain! Do you have any concept or motif ideas?
     
    Make him mega creepy. Wider eyes, or darker shades perhaps.
     
    Hi there jellotime91, please keep in mind that the rules state that you must have at least 4 examples of your work to showcase in your gallery. Please add one more so this can stay open, okay? :) You're work is really great though, and as soon as you have one more piece, I'll write up a nice critique for you! n_n;

    Also, macguyver16, if you want to make a request (which wasn't really a request so much as a demand-- please and thanks can get you far in life, you know) you may do so if and when jellotime91 decides to open a Shop. Luckily, jellowtime91 was kind enough to oblige. But right now, this is a gallery and is reserved for comments and critiques, not demands. I encourage you to be more considerate next time.

    This thread isn't meant as a portfolio, it's just meant as an open invitation for users to collaborate on designs and concepts for mega evolutions. Is that not allowed?
     
    Why yes, of course it is! You're more than welcome to create and share ideas! :3 It's encouraged, in fact!

    What I'm concerned about is people requesting things from you for personal gain. There's a way to go about saying that "your pikachu looks good because it's consistent with the current mega Pokemon designs, but maybe give it more fluff", that shouldn't come across like "draw me a Gengar". It's the level of rudeness that was occurring that I think was very inconsiderate and unnecessary.

    However, if you would like to run a shop or continue seeking counsel, you're more than welcome. :) Just please remember to include one more drawing for this thread.

    I just don't understand all the need for rules and being so uptight, I guess. I don't think that the way he asked was rude at all, he was merely making a suggestion. What you're talking about is just semantics, and I did not take what he said to be demanding at all.

    And I still don't get why there needs to be 4 pieces in here. Like I said it's not a portfolio, it's just an invitation for people to collaborate and share their concepts and sketches.

    I don't get why everyone has to be so serious around here. This is a forum about Pokemon. I'm not writing a thesis on molecular biology.
     
    I think it's great if you don't find some of the previous comments offensive. Again, I'm just looking to create a nice, non-demanding environment for everyone to enjoy. I thought some of the comments here were inconsiderate, when you're the moderator, you can let comments stay at your discretion.

    If you'd like to run a discussion about Mega Pokemon concepts, in which people can speculate about new designs and post their own (not limited to just your own) that's fine. Heck, I'll contribute. We need more discussion about new events in the Pokemon world.

    Also, I don't quite understand why you're getting so best out of shape. Relax~

    Now, if you have any more comments or questions, you're free to PM me. This thread has been derailed more than enough.

    Ah, crap. I'm sorry if I sounded demanding too. My post wasn't supposed to be a request, more like an idea. My apologies for the misunderstanding, it won't happen again! C:

    Now, more on topic... so this is technically a community project, in a way? I'll try to sketch something up.
