    I like the movie alot. <3 But, I don't think Ziyi Zhang should have played Sayuri, me thinks. She's one of my favorite actresses, but I think that a Japanese girl should have played Sayuri.

    Has anyone else seen this movie? =)

    I'm planning on seeing it tomorrow maybe. I've heard a lot of good things about it and I've wanted to see it since I read the actual book.
     
    My sister read the book before. She said that it was really good. So maybe I'll end up going with her to see the movie.
     
    Yeah... It surprised me that the main character was Chinese... you'd think that even if ALL the other characters had been Chinese, at least main character would have been Japanese.... but still... I thought she played the role quite well. I just saw it today. I loved it. Its become one of my favorite movies. ^^
     
    I should have read the book first, then watch the movie. =/

    My favorite actor in the movie was Ken Watanabe aka The Chairman. =]

    There's been quite a lot of controversy about the actress who played Sayuri, regarding nationality.

    I read the book and have been eager to watch it sinse. Unfortunately, the tickets sold out. ._.;;
     
    Well, I saw it...And I loved it enough to go see it again...^.^
     
    me too...but when i went to the theater half an hour early, the seats were like all full up...i had to sit in the second row in the front...i didnt enjoy the movie that much...my neck was in pain...
     
    I finally saw the movie! I loved it so much, I stopped at Target on the way home and I bought the book. I am just starting to read it and you learn so much more in the book. So if you liked the movie, you need to go get the book.
     
    I like these kind of movies alot so I wanna see it. But it got some bad reviews I heard, I think I'll watch it when it comes out on DVD. Ziyi Zhang is one of my favourite actresses. She recently starred in House of flying Daggers and that was so ace!
     
    I saw the movie again, I loved it so much the first time, that I had to see it again. And I am about 1/3 done with the book. And Ziyi Zhang is such a great actress. Also the girl who played Hatsumomo was awesome.
