There are no PS memory cards for PS3, right? Well, I'm getting a PS3 for Christmas and I was wondering what type of memory card is best to get. Or do you get one free when you buy the console?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section :).

the Playstation 3 uses Sony's MemoryStick Flash Card as its Memory card. I'm pretty sure that one does not come with the console. My neighbor got one the day it came out and it didn't come with one. (he did get a police escort out to his car tho).
as for the best card to get, it all depends on where you get it. usually you can find good deals at places like CompUSA or Staples. I usually try and see if there are any good deals by going to SlickDeals.net. they do a really good job at notifying ppl for deals. (I got a 4gb Flash drive for $10 that way)

I thought you didn't need a card for the PS3, doesn't it have intergrated memory?

    ^ Really? Have you got a PS3?

Well, I'll google Memory Stick and see what I can find, thanks.

What about PS2 and PS1 memory cards? Can you save the memory onto the PS3's memory stick or are there slots to put the old cards in?

ASG is right, in part. You can use the internal HDD for saving things, but if you want to have your save files in a portable form then MemoryStick is how you do it.
as for the old MemCards. there is an adapter out there to transfer the contents to the internal HDD. (though this is only available for the 80gb models)
I think this page might also be of use to you.

The Playstation 3 has 20/40/60/80(depends on model) of internal Hard Drive Memory, so no need for Memory Cards, unless you like to download alot :)

How 'bout actually putting things on there? You need a portable device to fill up that memory. You can use MemoryStick Pro, Sandisk, or Mini-Sandisk. You can also use flash drives and other external Hard Drives through the USB.
