The biggest use for Shadow Ball Metagross seems to be Espyblock and Gardyblock, because these can deal heavy fire damage to Metagross once setting up Reflect. But since my followers are the only ones who use these sets, it will have limited ability. Meteor Mash takes care of other Shadow Ball opponents (Celebi/Zam/Gengar/etc.)

Then get a freaken Snorlax with Shadow Ball or something. Rock Slide is better because it covers more types and those types it covers are more common. Flying-types are all around OU. Even if Rock Slide was only good against Flying is would be considered helpful. Then again a STAB'd MM does as much as RS.
 
I like having Gross on my teams...but how in the world do I counter Weezing switch ins? I can barely do anything to them...they Haze my Agility...and they'll just Will-O-Wisp, and Flamethrower me away.

I was thinking about putting Psychic on Metagross but that won't OHKO Weezing, and he'll just Pain Split then...so I dunno.

Well, I suggest predicting Weezing switch-ins and switching out to the right counter for Weezing (i.e. Alakazam and Gardevoir). That why Roar is so good. You can shuffle through their Pokemon and figure out how to counter all of them.

Unless you want to use Sleep Talk Metagross, then Metagross doesn't counter Weezing. However, there is another thing…it's called switching to a counter. Like Milotic, Houndoom, CB Machamp…Synchronize Alakazam can be fun if you predict Will-o-wisp.

Yep, I personally think that Lum Berry is pretty cool for Alakazam so you can psuedo-WoW them.

Also, Stalking Metagross...well...sucks tbh. That's why no one uses it.

Stalking Metagross sucks. I was telling that to Patrick. Besides, might there be a reason no ones posted StalkingGross? Hmm...I wonder. CBGross, AgiliGross, MixedGross, or no Gross IMO.

And the point of this post is to get it through your head.

Stalkergross is one of the best non-Fire Punch Gengar counters, can be a sturdy physical wall due to its resistances+resttalk, outstalls Milotic which the other sets cannot do, and beats non-Fire Blast Weezing easily. ffs how does it suck?
And lol just because it's not posted here or you don't see it, it doesn't mean it's not used. Actually it's quite popular.
Please stop posting if you don't know what you're talking about.
