my first RP, so bear with me here

    Plot:

Shortly after coming back from Aether, Samus headed off again, this time without warning. The last person who saw her asked her where she was going, but got no response from her, she just left. Shortly after, they went to Command and told them about Samus and a small fleet was dispatched to track her and aid her or, should things get too hectic, bring her back. It has been about one solid week since that day and still, no reply from Samus or the others. Command cannot track them as they do not know where any of them are is, but a distress beacon has recently been activated on an unknown planet. Instead of blindly tracking the others now, they are focusing on this new distress call with the hopes that it could possibly be them. There is no room for error, so they are sending their very best, elite even among the elite. They have called upon you to go out, find the source of this distress beacon, and find any survivors linked to it, or, if none are found, evidence of their death. Your equipment is thus: A suit similar to Samus', created from extensive research on her suit in an effort to replicate it, but you do not have the morph ball mode. You have missiles, bombs to place with your hands, Something similar to the powerbeam with a secondary shot mode of a machine gun, a flamethrower, a freezegun, a grapple beam, and a ligtning cannon. Are you up to the challenge?

oh, another one.... and here i'd almost given up hope. well, we need a few more, then we're off

well, it looks like we won't be getting even 5 people into this... i guess we'll jsut have to settle for 4, but if that takes too long, i suppose we could just start it off with 3, but it won't be that great...

As an experiences RP maker, I give you this advice: "Don't count your chickens before they hatch" People are probably hanging back to see how this thing turns out. I know, because I sometimes do it myself, before joining.

interesting.. thank you for that piece of advice, i'll keep that in mind. Anyway, i'll stick to the original 5 or 6 minimum, but if that takes too long, we'll just start as is

We could start, and then whoever wants to join after we start can join. Just a suggestion though...

OOC: I meant to get this up a few days ago, but i got side tracked... oh well, it's starting now. Sorry it's not longer, but there wasn't a whole lot of detail ot be added on just the halls of the ship..*shrugs*

IC: Kain was standing in the cockpit of the ship, watching the monitor, a blank expression in his eyes, which was all that could be seen through his helmet. Many people found it odd that he never removed it or any piece of his suit.. Some think he even sleeps with it on, but that's not the case.. He's got his own reasons for keeping it on. He glanced down at the small meter which was counting down the estimated time until they reached their destination... a few short minutes.. He turned quickly and headed out of the room, turning down hallway after hallway until he reached the room where the others were suiting up.

He opened the door and stepped through, slightly shocked by what he saw. Only three? that was it? He slammed his palm into his forehead and groaned. This was a mission to save someone's life on an unknown planet and only 3 people were joining him? this was going to be d.amn near impossible...

"Alright ladies, we'll be landing shortly, so get your asses in gear and move it" Kain said, the quickly turned and walked out again. He wandered through the halls, looking at the size of the crew who had joined them... 20 total and only 4 would go to find the distress beacon.. hopefully others would come and assist, but he doubted it.. oh well, if they wanted to, they could.

Kain shook his head and returned to the cockpit and looked at the monitor again. A smile crossed his face under the helmet as he stared at it. There on the monitor was a good sized planet, green and brown as many were, but there was also something about it... a beauty that seemed to hover about it, but at the same time a danger that couldn't be ignored. They would have to be on their toes for this one. He leaned back against the wall and hung his head, closing his eyes and waiting to land. it would happen shortly and a suitable landing point was being found now. it wouldn't be long.....

Serrnt D'Tirna, who also was very elusive and very few knew what he looked like under his suit. No one ever seen him sleep as a matter of fact, no one knows whether he's actually humon or not. Some hypothesize that he's an Cyborg, an extremely technically advanced human-like cyborg, who maybe at one time might have been human, but that's yet to be seen.

When the captain came into address them, he followed silently after the commander without so much as a word. Serrnt prefered to keep his thoughts to himself, and only spoke when neccessary.

"How long?" he said in a dry and firm voice, his voice seemed to be of a quality of a man in his 30's, a rich deep and mysterious tone.

"Thirty minutes.. be ready for anything, we could be attacked as sooon as we step off" Kain said, his voice low and cold, but at the same time, there was a sort of metallic hint to it, as if something was either blocking his voice or changing it... perhaps something in his helmet, no one was for sure and no one cared to ask, all they knew was he was a good shot and a fast thinker and that was all they cared about.

Kain looked up at Serrnt, his eyes slightly narrowed through his visor. Here was someone much like himself, but Kain knew one thing.. there was one major difference between them, but it was not in personality, it was appearance, he knew this for a fact even without ever physically seeing Serrnt. He also knew this was true for everyone else on this ship. He closed his eyes and looked back at the ground, many thoughts passing through his head. He wanted to land and get this mission underway and the wait was killing him.

With a nod, Serrnt took a seat, making sure to buckle himself in. He had crashed through a space ships window at one point, and was making sure it never happened again. He stared blankly out into space, appearing to have no expression on his face, although through the heavily tinted visor you could only make out a faint outline of his eyes.

"How good are you with a beam cannon?" he then asked out of no where in the same firm tone as the last. Serrnt had a point for this comment, although he wasn't willing to give everything away at once.

OOC: Blaze, we haven't even landed yet, and if we had, we sure as hell wouldn't be starting off at a canyon. re-do that, wander the ship a bit and all... As for the environment and obstacles, i'll describe those as we pass through them in my posts. You all may add enemies and little quirks as we go along, as well as crumbling environments or cave-ins, but only if it fits the area. Leave the major settings to me, ok? Anyway, we'll land now, i was waiting for others to suddenly jump in while we're still onboard the ship so it would be easier for them to be with the group. And do me a favor... from here on out, no one liners, i'd liek to keep this nice and descriptive if you can, it makes it so much easier to play when you know others' exact locations and actions.

IC: "How good am i with a beam cannon... what kind of question is that?" Kain lifted his head again and stared at Serrnt, a look in his blue-green eyes that was a mixture of disbelief and confusion. He had been selected for this mission, how much better does he need to be? "Do i need to answer that? I am on this mission am i not? I don't think they're sending us to die." Kain shook his head and stood up straight, turning and heading back out the door. In his mind, he just came off as arrogant and he really didn't want to seem that way, but still, it's a bit too late ot apologize right now...perhaps later he would.

He headed down the halls, heaving a heavy sigh as he went, turning left, then right, then left again. These halls all looked the same to him and he was tired of seeing them already. This ship or any other, it was all the same. Metal here, metal there, regardless of design or fit, it was all metal and it all looked the same...so boring. As he rounded the final corner, he came to the long hallway where each person's room was and decided to take a small rest for now. It would be awhile before they landed and it wouldn't be good if he was tired.

He pushed the switch ot his door and stepped inside, locking it behind him. He walked toward his bed, stripping away his suit as he went and letting it fall to the floor. The real Kain beneath the suit is not what anyone would have expected it to be, anyone who saw would likely have been floored completely. Kain's room wasn't like the others, it contained a bed, a shower, and a nightstand, and that was it, nothing more. Others usually contained a few personals or decorations to make it look better, but not his. Kain layed down on the soft bed and let out a relaxed sigh, but just as soon as he layed down, the intercom cracked to life and a harsh, deep voice came from it. It ordered all those who were going on to the surface to get into the cockpit... They were finally landing. Kain growled and cursed aloud as he stood and grabbed all of his armor, placing it back on. "Someone got their times mixed up" He grumbled as he ran out of his room and dashed down the hallway.

Kain ran full speed down the hallway, but in his rush, he'd forgotten something... Part of a long, indigo ponytail was sticking out beneath his helmet in the back. As he rounded a corner, he noted it in his reflection on the wall and lifted his helmet just enough to stuff it under before continuing onward. He reached the cockpit in little time and quickly stepped through the door, breathing kinda heavy. This must hav elooked funny to the ones present... He leaves, they reach the planet in 2 minutes, and he's back again. He stood straight up and looked at the monitor, his eyes widening slightly.

The area was gorgeous, it was much like Tallon IV, one of the images Samus had brought back had shown something like this, but this was a much higher climb to get out of. (Think 'Tallon Overworld'-ish.. i couldn't find the words to describe it, sorry ^^) But still, that paled in comparison to this. The grass held a sort of shine about it, almost as if it was made of crystal and the sunlight from the planet's 2 suns was making it all glow. Along the walls, the rocks were lined with small prism-like stones, which also reflected the sun, brightening the area. Perhaps this was what gave the grass its shine. There wasn't anything else roaming around the area, as things usually weren't, but on occasion something would be there, a few somethings roaming the land, but no, not here.

Kain stood there for a minute, just taking in the sight, then he remembered the twinge of a feeling he got... Despite the beauty of this area, danger still hung in the air, a constant feeling he couldn't shake. His keen eyes scanned every detail of the land he could see for possible dangers. After a few minutes of staring, he shook his head and leaned against the wall, speaking loud enough so those present could hear "Allw ho are coming out, get ready.. We leave in a few minutes. If you're not with me, you get left behind and it'll be hard to catch up"

OOc: Sorry if it seems crammed in, i have a VERY bad habit of that i'm trying to break. Idf it does, lemme know and i'll try to extend it a bit or separate the times

Serrnt said nothing, nothing at all. He had what he wanted from the question and that's all he needed. He let Kain go silently out of the room.

Serrnt never doubt Kain's shot. Kain, he had heard, had a very large reputation when it came to shooting; he was after something else, searching for a breaking point in the young bounty hunter, and he seemed to find it perfectly. Although he had no intention of using it to his own advantage, he wanted to find it before someone else did. It would make it easier to watch his back, if Serrnt knew the young mans weaknesses, he had a feeling he had more.

Serrnt, since there was no one around, took his helmet off. Cyborg would be the perfect word for the man, his eyes weren't normal, they were red and beady, seeming to have a cross-hair go through his pupil. Although his skin looked normal, there was a patch missing on his left cheek, from a past battle that he never cared to fix, revealing that behind the cheek, there was a solid layer of titanium, probably reinforced by iron. What made him different than any cyborg before him is that, he had a mind of his own, no one was controlling him, which means that at one point he was in fact human, and the scientist were able to save his brain.

What he saw, wasn't too far off from what a normal human saw, except at the sides of his periferal view, was digits that told him stats about different people and objects, even about his surroundings.

Suddenly Kain's voice rang on the intercom. Serrnt slowly put his helmet back on, and let the visor turn to a mor hazy green, hiding his eyes altogether.

"I'm here," he said at last as he caught up with Kain. "Ready when you are."

OOC: Now would be the best time to meet up with them Blaze, they're about to get off. But if you want to wait, keep in mind you'll have to play catch up. OH, and Link, nice post, very nice.
