4th Gen Mew?

I'm trying to complete my national 'dex without the use of AR or GS.

I own R, B, Y, LG, FR, R, S, Plat and Perl (or me and my GF do between us) but I still have no idea about getting a (legit) mew. (the only thing I can find is an event from 2005 :s )

Is this possible, or am I doomed to have #151 empty in my 'dex?


(also, is there a way to check if a pokemon is legit, instead of hacked, on the GTS?)

I'm pretty sure it's purely event, I went to one and got a couple on Ruby and Sapphire and PP'd them over so I guess i'm fairly lucky.

You can get a legit Mew from My Pokemon Ranch. The method, however, I don't know. I don't have the game, but I know you can get one from there.

You can get a legit Mew from My Pokemon Ranch. The method, however, I don't know. I don't have the game, but I know you can get one from there.

You have to store 999 pokemon in it, and then trade an egg for mew.

I don't own a wii (or a TV for that matter) and don't fancy spending so much just to get a mew in my 'dex!

Anyone else know of any way? (or any upcoming events?)

I unfortunately don't know any other way. If you have Wi-Fi, you could try asking someone for a Mew they got over Ranch and they could trade it to you.

I imagine people will be asking for the standard "lvl 100 Palkia" though. :s

I don't have Wi-Fi, so I can't tell you what's gonna be asked for on there. Find someone nice on here and maybe do a trade back. Mew will still go in your Pokedex. D;

That would be great (shame I couldn't have my own though :(, silly nintendo, lol).

I could offer to trade a valuable pokemon of mine, but I don't really have anything that would be as rare as mew.

Actually, I've decided to give you my trust. If something does happen to Mew(which I'd rather it not), it would be as it was about a half hour ago, but with a Manaphy. (I was quick enough to be accepted on EricEevee's forum and pm him for Manaphy and Mew.)

Really, I'd like to have you trade me a Pokemon I don't have on my Pokedex. Other than that, we can swap friend codes through PM and then trade/trade back.

Yeah, he gave away all the mews already. :(

The only way I know how to get one without the use of an AR is through the GTS but most mews on it now are hacked or non legit. It would take you a while to find a legit mew on it.
