Mewtwo vs. Goku

The fighters are from different universes. They cannot be properly compared as such. I voted for Mewtwo because in my opinion Mewtwo would be far superior to Goku in combat. Here is my scenario using the pokemon damage calculator and goku with the max of 999 (on the calculator) attack HP and Defense and with 500 everything else. Mewtwo has max IV's (goku doesn't because he isn't a pokemon :P) and Max EV's because he was made to be the ultimate Pokemon (personality is a neutral one) and has a twisted spoon :P. I use dice rolls to determine critical chance and attack hit chance.
(Note: If there are any mistakes, I am sorry. I will not check it when I am done writing it.)

Remeber this free battle giving goku all abiltys also goku can teleport, float and quick dash as ablites. Also Goku is not a pokemon and he has more power. Mewtwo just doesnt have a chance against a dbz charecter especially if it was cell. Cell could use his powers to copy gokus and mewtwos and beat them to a pulp.

Which is YOUR opinion... I was just stating that in the scenario of a turn based battle, using pokemon mechanics, Mewtwo would win. Goku having 3 abilities in a battle like this wouldn't be possible. In a free battle he WOULD NOT have all possible moves so don't even say that. If anything Mewtwo would have all moves seeing how he is a clone of Mew, the pokemon who has the DNA of all other pokemon. A quick disable would do Goku in. Disable is not a direct attack, it is a telepathic one, so no matter how fast Goku travels, the attack will hit him (mewtwo DOESN'T need to have Goku in his sights in order for him to disable him) I doubt very much that Mewtwo's disable or any psychic attack would take very long to work on Goku seeing how in the anime it's almost instant. Mewtwo's psychic ability seems much stronger than Goku's will to resist.

remember bardock, gokus father? he survived when he was in space with the battle against freiza so who says goku cant do the same thing? anyways IMO goku would win. goku has an iNsAnE amount of strenth but not insane iNsAnE compared 2 broli. though you may say he has a impenitrible barrier but whos proven its impenitrible? and even if goku loses every battle only makes him stronger. so if the next time they fight then the chances of goku winning have then increased.

Everyone grows in power as they fight, it's called experience. Goku's power only increases when he is at the point of NEAR death. Who's to say he'd get that close to death? and if he does don't you think Mewtwo would be strong enough to end his life? Of course.
Sparks: First of all I didn't really understand most of that :\ . Anyway if you are saying Mewtwo would immitate Goku, then I'd have to disagree. Mewtwo's mind is vastly superior and more complex than Goku's. That being said, Mewtwo would not be foolish enough to act savage in a battle. The one with the mind usually uses it during battle and thinks strategically. Mewtwo might not be able to fully control Goku or disable him, but it would probably be enough to let him have his way with Goku without much interference.

Who said that the fight would be a like this?
Anime style please, Goku is not a Pokemon. And as I have said a zillion times before, quit using the disable/bodycontrol examples. Goku's mind isn't that weak, and he is too fast for Mewtwo to concentrate on him to actually disable/body control.

Like you said, the characters are from different universes, so we have to try to eliminate anything that is purely from one universe to make this as fair as possible. Disable being instantaneous is completely Pokemon. If we bring this to a neutral universe, it would take some time to actually disable.

On our other hand, there is Goku who doesn't really have any elimatable abilities, because his abilities are just some extremely fast powerful fighting, and different energy blasts(lets keep the names for it simple).

That doesn't mean that there are any eliminatable attributes from DBZ, but just none from Goku himself.

We have to remember that we are bringing both of them into a fair neutral universe to fight.



Oh, and thanks for recognizing that all of our opinions are equal. Unlike some people.... :P

his power doesnt increase in near death... u mustve meant something like rage mode or something like that. and plus, a dbz supersonic warriors battle would make much more sence due 2 how u can fly in the air at will. a level 1 battle and goku can just use kaioken and then spririt bomb and then punch him in the face and he wins. a level 2 battle may be trickier 4 goku since on how his moves sucks (level 1 and 3 are my favourite). but a level 3 battle and goku could keep on using warp kamehameha and he would win (heh i keep on trying that on majin buu XD). though there are different outcomes but in the way i explain it it seems that goku wins.

your pokebattle makes no sence whatsoever because of these things:
1: ...mewtwo has over 4 moves...
2: kamehamehas are not hyper beams because he doesnt need 2 recharge when he uses 1
3: a pychic atk does not do 1006 dmg ; itd take lots of calm minds 2 do that
4: i dont belive gokus a fighting type...he may use his fists and legs but that does not means hes a fighting type.

Goku Transforms into suepr saiyan four, but starts losing energy faster than he already was. Mewtwo does another psychic throw. goku shoots his 10X kamehameha. Mewtwo rediverts teh energy using psychic energy and sends it harmlessly into space. goku changes back due to the loss of energy. with Goku's energy drained, mewtwo easily strangles Goku to deah using another psychic toss.

At least in these fights Goku was given the chance to fight back, unlike what you did with mewtwo. Teh major thing between Goku and Mewtwo is that Mewtwo has impossible defensive capabilities, and since he performs his moves off brain power and not really any form of energy he never tires physically from it, although he may feel a little stressed mentally. While Goku has to be careful with his physical energy lest he runs out and becomes weaker than a sick dog.

Now I'm not saying I don't like Goku. Goku is awesome. But lookgin at each of their unique abilities, I'd say mewtwo seriously has teh advantage.

By the way, I'd like to bring it to your attention taht OGku has been crippled beofre. Although it hasn't been shown yet in englihs. While fighitng one of the shenron's, goku gets caught by surprise and ends up blind. When fighitng the next shenron, he at first has a really difficult time becasue he can't see. i ttakes him a rogh fight before he becomes accustomed to fighting blind. Later he gradually gets his sighte back.

That's not making it a DBZ style battle. It is making it a neutral battle.

Making it neutral doesen't mean taking away their abilities. It means making the attributes of their abilities the same as real life, or if there isn't a real-life example(like disable), then base it on the world of anime.

In almost any other cartoon/game/movie/show/etc, a disabling move takes time. Disable isn't instantaneous in a neutral universe. It's not instantaneous in almost ANY universes, exept for Pokemon's universe.

On the other hand, there is plenty of anime that agrees with DBZ's attributes to abilities.

And you keep bringing up that barier. The barier is penatratable. Don't say that it isn't, that is just wrong because we haven't seen this to stay true in any scenario. Just assuming that it makes him invincable doesn't make any sense. In fact, you're probably wrong about it entirely. Because in almost any other anime, a barier of the sort isn't impossible to break.

Plus it would take some energy to do that. It's not like he would just keep it held up all the time, he would try to use it when Goku attacks. So just assuming that Goku will attack him while he has the barrier up doesent make any sense. Goku would wait until he took it down to start attacking, then make a killing blow while Mewtwo is off guard.

And don't say Mewtwo will attack Goku while he has his barrier up, because, like I said, the barrier would take alot of energy to hold up.

A Psychic barier requires much effort to put up. You don't need just will power.

No it wouldn't because ssbm does not capture all of Mewtwo's capabilities, sothat is a bad example. And Mewtwo does ahve an unlimited mind. He is the ultimate psychic pokemon,a nd can do whatever he wishes. If it he wishes permanent barrier while doing something else, then it will be done.

And sparks, who do you think lost this battle? Looking at teh vote count, It looks like Goku is losing by a large margin. Mewtwo has no limitations on his pscyhic powers, because he was built that way. teh scientist said so himself. Mewtwo can do whatever he wants, including drive Goku out of his mind.
