    On the last episode of Pokemon Smash, it was said that the creator of Pokemon Junichi Masuda was to appear on the following episode, to reveal a shock announcement. There was large speculation about it being 'Pokemon Grey', a Pokemon R/S remake, the release of Keldeo/Meloetta/Genesect. But the main thought was of a Mewtwo event due to the Mewtwo TV special and the release of the new TGC expansion including Mewtwo EX and Kyurem EX and the airing of the movies it stars in next week. It turns out this suspicion was correct. So now for the delightful speculation part, of which some will be stolen borrowed from Nica's blog. And Mr. HGSS said it was old news, so I feel behind but it DOES have Pressure now so it's still discussable.

    EDIT: Mewtwo is confirmed to be in a Cherish Ball, hold a Premier Ribbon, at Lv70, have Pressure and know Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere and Psystrike and Electro Ball.

    Do you think there will be any special in-game events/connections that this special Mewtwo unlocks, such as Challenger's Cave?

    What moves do you think Mewtwo will know? Do you think it will have any event moves?

    What other characteristics do you think it will have?

    Do you think other countries will receive the event?

    No I don't see some special in-game event that unlocks something. If anything it will be like the other Wifi events in the past. Maybe it's an item they unlocks a secret area to get Mewtwo really can't tell for sure at this point.

    What moves do you think Mewtwo will know? Do you think it will have any event moves?
    My guess is it will at least have Psystrike since it's Mewtwo signature move. Maybe they will give it Psycho Boost that would be nice.

    I assume you mean ones like Loves to Eat, Proud of it's Power. If that's what you meant I don't think that's ever static to an event.

    Do you think other countries will receive the event?
    Yes, this event is too promote the Mewtwo Pack, and TV Special. So I don't see why they won't use Mewtwo as a promotional tool else where, since that is one of the primary functions of event pokemon.
     
    I'd really like to get an event in Finland but I hardly believe it's gonna happen >u>

    This sounds awesome though, some cool psych moves would be nice. Not that I'm gonna get it but yeah.
     
    I really hope it's for other countries. I'm tired of Japan getting everything. Doesn't make sense for other countries to not get it as well. :\
     
    is there a release date for it and will this event be world wide.
     
    Mewtwo is by far my favorite Pokemon, so I'll definitely be getting this when it comes over our way in the US (which I'm sure it will eventually) or perhaps just try and get it through my Japanese Black version. I'm much more interested in this TV special with Mewtwo though, any info on it? This is the first I'm hearing of it.
     
    Its events like these that makes me glad that i bought a Japanese copy of the games, and i figure ill also do this for future games since the U.S doesnt really get all the events( well in a timely manner) I mean there just coming out with the zorark with snarl , i had that months ago lol
     
    As usual, my country doesn't get the event. I think that Mewtwo will have its signature Psystrike, alongside some special moves, but I don't know which ones.
     
    No it won't reach out to other continents, but I do like the idea of Mewtwo, I believe it will come with its signature move. No idea on other moves and characteristics though. I also don't think there will be an in-game event about it. It just dosen't seem likely.

    I think it will unlock a cave or where mewtwo came from.

    I think it will know shadow ball, pyshic, confuse ray, light screen? or strong moves.

    It makes perfect sense when all of the information that Gamefreak pulls from events and a massive majority of its profits come from its home country. Pokemon is more popular in Japan than everywhere else. Makes more sense that they'd favor home country that loves their stuff than other countries that are half and half.

    According to Serebii, there are no further special features are related to it.

    Serebii has these three so far: Psystrike, Shadow Ball and Aura Sphere. I think the last could be.....Roughly anything....I don't have a possible clue.

    None that are too defining.

    Highly doubt it. Doesn't look like we'll get the Reshiram/Zekrom AND the Shiny Hydreigon/Golurk. Maybe one if we get lucky. This seems like one of Japan's countless special Home events only.
     
    I'm not really that excited about a Mewtwo. :x Its attacks don't really seem that exciting, nor does its ability or anything else. They could've at least made it shiny or something! If Australia gets it and it's at TRU or something I'm not going to bother unless it's wifi connection @ home lool.

    It probably doesn't reach other countries beside japan, but i hope so. ^-^
    It doesn't has some special moves or smthing like that.
     

    Doesn't seem all that amazing, tbh. They could of gave it it's DW ability, since events like these are most likely the way we're going to obtain the legends w/dream world abilities. Although I think the last move maybe exclusive since they're keeping it a secret.

    Meh, probably not. Although there is a woman who mentions that a legendary Pokemon lives in the cave, so who knows.

    Well we already know of Psystrike, Aura Sphere and Shadow Ball, the last move maybe exclusive since it's being kept from us. It won't be a new move since there hasn't been any new moves found within the game. It'll probably be something like Flamethrower or something. Knowing GF they'll troll us and give us that. ;-;

    Hopefully. Can't really say; but I'm hoping yes.

    If this event is at like a shop or something, I'm not going to bother. I prefer WiFi events. That's if it does come to the UK.
     
    I think it's a great move considering Mewtwo Base Speed is 130 so most of the time it should do 120-150 damage. Who knows they may also being trying to parallel this with Pikachu since that's his new go to move in the anime. Regardless of the reasoning great move.
