Plot: You find yourself rushing into an out-of-the-way construct situated in a small clearing north from where you had just arrived. A light shower had begun outside and is becoming steadily heavier. You retreat into the confines of the building you have just entered and notice that there a number of other people taking shelter from the storm. You then notice a quaint young woman with long dark hair sitting behind what appears to be the counter of the establishment. You suddenly recognise your surroundings as a Pokémon Stop Shop. It is a place where nearby villagers, citizens and townspeople post job requests for eager Pokémon Trainers to take on jobs or quests for money, items or something more. The woman behind the counter unexpectedly begins to inform you of the last two quests currently available, mistaking you for a Pokémon Trainer looking for a job. You are taken aback by the sudden gesture but begin to contemplate your situation. You are a freelance Pokémon Trainer who has been wandering the country for a number of weeks with no goals in mind and a diminishing pack of supplies. You decide that the reward money from the quest will be sufficient in your travels and eventually decide to take the job. You then realise that a number of other Pokémon Trainers have eyed the quests and are beginning to sign up as well. After speaking with the woman behind the counter, you find yourself in a party with several other Pokémon Trainers who have accepted one of the last two available requests.

    Quest/Job: MIA (Missing In Action)

Details: There have been a number of recent reports involving the whereabouts of missing and/or possibly abducted Pokémon in the city of Rooter Creek. A recent organisation has currently established itself within the city and has been identified as the major suspect by Rooter Creek Police. However, due to the lack of evidence provided, Rooter Creek Police cannot investigate the case involving the organisation any further. The number of missing Pokémon reports is increasing and the citizens are becoming restless, almost volatile. I am hiring any available Pokémon Trainers to investigate the case. Due to the police's current investigation, the number of Pokémon Trainers for the job will be limited. This will hopefully keep your involvement in the case unrecognised. The organisation is called 'Rocket'. The company building is situated behind the Pokémon Center upon entering the city's west entrance. Good luck.

Poster: Jared O'Hare, Rooter Creek Mayor

    Reward: ¥10000 for each trainer

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Quest/Job: Rocket

Details: The Rooter Creek Police and mayor have recently begun investigation of the work being carried out at Rocket headquarters. Fortunately, during their investigation, they were unsuccessful in discovering Giovanni's experiments involving the stolen Pokémon from Rooter Creek. However, we have recently received Intel regarding the mayor's decision to hire outside sources to further investigate the company. In response, we are hiring any available Pokémon Trainers who are willing to participate in the company's business. Due to the police's current investigation, the number of Pokémon Trainers for the job will be limited. This will hopefully keep your involvement unrecognised. The organisation is called 'Rocket'. The company building is situated behind the Pokémon Center upon entering the city's west entrance. Rocket employees will escort you upon arrival.

    Poster: Rocket, Rooter Creek City

    Reward: ¥10000 for each trainer

You read the request over. The other Pokémon Trainers accompanying you appear unmoved by the obscurity of their task. You now begin to wonder what you have just gotten yourself into.

    Rules:

    1. You may have two characters but remember: ONLY use a second character IF you are willing to describe them equally throughout this RP.

    2. There are two sides to this RP. You have the option of becoming a Pokémon Trainer who has accepted the quest: MIA. Or alternatively, you may choose to become a Pokémon Trainer working with the organisation: Rocket. Two character users may also choose to have one character on each side (MIA and Rocket) or decide to have two characters on one side (MIA or Rocket).

    3. The number of users may be limited when the RP first begins. New users may join and are eagerly welcomed. New users must be approved first before you participate (post your sign-ups and if they are suitable you will be added to the Character list – suitable: read and approved by me). New users MUST read the storylines previously posted before attempting to include themselves within the story.

    4. If you decide to take part in this over exaggerated RP, please remember that you are NOT nor will be the most powerful Pokémon Trainer in the world and you cannot control legendary Pokémon.

    5. It will be more beneficial for the story if users remain active. Try to avoid double-posting and flaming unless it is of utmost importance to do so.

    6. The general RP rules that have not been listed should also be followed.

Setting up your sign-up: Please include the following details so that I may accurately decide who may participate in this RP.

Quest/Job: The job/s you have chosen to take at the Pokémon Stop Shop (MIA or Rocket or both (two character users only)). You may also include a reason behind your decision (optional).

Name: First and last name of your character (last and nicknames are optional but not required).

Age: The age of your character.

Gender: The sex of your character (male or female).

Description: The appearance of your character (basically what your character looks like).

Personality: The personality of your character (basically what your character acts and feels like).

History: Just a brief description of your character's past and life.

Pokémon: These are your Pokémon (maximum number of six – no legendary Pokémon allowed).

Other: Any other details you want to add for effect.

    My sign-up:

    Quest/Job: Rocket

Name: Miles (Christopher Scott – middle and surname curtesy of Miles' adoptive parents)

    Age: 14

    Gender: Male

Description: Miles stands at 170 centimetres high and weighs an approximate of 61 kilograms. He has short black hair often adorned by a 'Mambo' beanie. His skin is lightly tanned and is clothed by a white long-sleave (rolled) collar shirt as well as a pair of grey buckle-braced trousers. His attire also includes a pair of white grey sneakers. A dog-tag chained by a silver necklace rests across his shoulders and around his neck. The word 'Reach' is also printed upon the tag.

Personality: Miles is a quiet and generally shy person who does not like confrontations or large crowds. He does not converse well with others and tends to wonder off alone. He is caring of his Pokémon and the people he considers to be 'true' friends.

History: Miles was brought up by his adoptive parents, Judith and Michael Scott, and became his father's apprentice when he was thirteen. Miles and his father both worked within the family gym until the period of time where his parents abruptly disappeared and he was instated as the temporary leader of the gym. After some time Miles discovered several reports and papers involving an agreement between his adoptive parents and the infamous crime syndicate, Team Rocket. The latest papers indicated an event revolving around the opening of a new 'Rocket' enterprise in Rooter Creek City. Miles then decided to investigate the event in hopes of discovering the disappearance of his parents and to restore normality to his life.

Pokémon: Noir (Dragonair), Misdreavus, Shiftry, Roselia, Milotic, Absol

    Other: N/A

Notes: If you are attempting to participate in this RP, please fill in the sing-up form and read over the rules. I will post the starter story in the next 24 hours in which time no other posts except sign-ups (ideas/requests/criticisms are also acceptable) can be made. I'll try to start it as soon as we have an appropriate number of characters (most definitely before 24 hours). Remember to have fun and be creative with what you write. You do not need to write in the second person as I have done (that was just for effect). Write your story based on how a normal RP would be written.

Example: The Pikachu raced up the arena and leapt into his owner's arms. 'Great work Pikachu!' Ash cried, as he hugged the electric mouse Pokémon.

Side notes: MIA characters will start just before meeting with the major. You will be heading towards the Rocket building (how you get in is up to you) after the mayor debriefs you on your quest. Rocket characters will start already inside the Rocket building as 'Rocket Grunts'. You will be divided into the many floors of the building (the number of floors, who is on the floor and what is on the floor will be up to you – remember that the building is used as a cover up to hide Giovanni's experiments (the type of experiments will also be up to you)). Your administrators will be introducing you to your mission and what you have to do (example: guard a safe with Mew's DNA or something like that). Users who decide to become a Rocket Grunt may continue to wear their original costume (if so you must have one piece of clothing with an 'R' on it) or adorn the Rocket uniform (describe this as you will).

Character list: This will show who will be participating. I'll update it after a few people have replied to the thread.

    2. ~*Nariko*~ - Character: Kali Tsunari (MIA)

    Quest/Job: MIA

    Name: Christine Thayer

    Age: 16

    Gender: Female

Description: Short, frizzy-curly blonde hair that can NEVER be tamed, blue eyes. Christine doesn't usually wear jeans, but a dress that she made herself, and she always carries around a large bag with her.

Personality: Christine is very quiet and distant to most people, and if you try to mess with her, she can be quite snappy. She is always daydreaming, and has never really had any interest in being a trainer. She appreciates artistic things, and considers herself very mature for her age, thought whether that is the case or not is up for debate.

History: Christine has lived with her father most of her life, doing most of the housework and shopping in place of her mother. Christine's father loved music, and Christine loves it in return. Because of her quiet nature, Christine doesn't have many friends, and often daydreams to get past it. It doesn't really matter to her, though. All that matters is that she's happy, and, currently, she is.

    Pokémon: Arcanine, Charmander, Horsea

~*Nariko*~ and Beezlenef you are both accepted. ~*Nariko*~ it is not absolutely necessary to post a history but it may be beneficial to have one. If you can tell, my history is written as a sort of backup sotry in case the main plot is dying (hopefully this won't happen). But to answer it briefly, no, you do not need to have a history.

    Quest/Job: Rocket

    Name: Scott Wyvern

    Age: 17

    Gender: Male

Description: Around 5'8, with a bit of a toned body. His skin is slightly tanned from all the time he spends traveling. His eyes are a light brownish-red and his hair is the darkest black. His hair is a bit spiky but really messy. Around his neck is a gunmetal silver necklace or pendant in the shape of a crown. He has a scar coming from his right shoulder blade to his left rib on his back. His clothes are dark gray cargo-pants, black long-sleeve shirt with a dragon inprint on the back, black and red sneakers. On his hands are some black fingerless gloves. He has a gold ring with a dragon symbol on it.

Personality: Although he rarely admits it, Scottura is often quite withdrawn and introspective. He knows that there is a lot that he does not understand about himself, and this causes him to be irritable at times, and sometimes even to snap at friends. He changes for the better once he realizes that there are bigger problems than himself to deal with.

History: Scott was raised by his oldest brother, because his parents died when he was 2. He never knew anything about his parents except what his brother told him. All he remembers of his mother is the lullaby that she sung to him, to calm him down when he had a nightmare.

Pokémon: Charizard, Ditto, Absol, Umbreon, Espeon, Salamance.

Other: Any other details you want to add for effect.

    Quest/Job: Rocket

    Name: Akiko Tanaka

    Age: 14

    Gender: Female

Description: Akiko has orange hair with a light brown tinge. Her hair is fashioned into a ponytail with a plaid ribbon. She has hazelnut eyes and pale white skin. She is about 5 feet and 2 inches. She wears a light beige jacket with a white blouse and a plaid skirt to match her ribbon.

Personality: Akiko is outgoing and isn't afraid to make a scene. She rarely is quiet and shy. She confronts problem head-on. She doesn't use her head wisely and gets into danger quite often.

History: Akiko was born and raised at Fuchsia City in Kanto. She was brought up by her older sister while her parents were at Mossdeep on projects. She used to watch Koga and his son, Janine, fight against the trainers and over time, she gained strategy from them which makes her a tough opponent.

    Pokémon: Gengar, Crobat, Venomoth

    Other: None

    Quest/Job: Rocket

    Name: Anuka (uh NOO kuh)

    Age: 15

    Gender: Female

Description: Anuka is about average height for a girl her age, no taller than 5'6". She has blonde hair with choppy bangs down past her shoulders and eyes that would be called hazel but are almost an amber or yellowish brown. She is thin but muscular yet still seems to be built lightly when one looks at her. Anuka normally wears dark colors that will help hide her at night, and is almost never seen wearing shorts or a skirt rather than long pants. The shoes she wears are light so they won't get in her way or make much noise.

Personality: While normally she chooses to be mysterious and withdrawn, Anuka is also driven by compassion. After all, the world has never been cruel to her, although she is alone. She will often go out of her way to do a something kind when she sees others in need, although even this she is usually secretive about even that. Despite the fact that nothing truly bad has ever happened to her, she has had to work for everything she's got, and Anuka is a fighter. She doesn't often back down but usually knows when she must.

History: Anuka was born into a large family of 11 children. Her parents were far from rich, but they had more than some and their family did not suffer. Even still, Anuka was often unnoticed in the large crowd, and eventually left to be on her own. Yet her life by herself has been very different from the one with her family, and she sometimes has to resort to stealing to survive. It is something that she is very good at, yet oftentimes she is more devoted to her own physical training than to that of her three pokemon, and although Anuka herself is an excellent fighter, her pokemon are a bit lacking. Still, Anuka cares for them and is happy in their company.

    Pokémon: Female Ninetales
    Female Ponyta
    (Obviously) Male Nidorino

    Quest/Job: MIA

    Name: Toren Mitsuro

    Age: 16

    Gender: Male

Description: The clothes that he wears are pretty normal. For his top half, he has on a dark blue shirt with a fold-out collar. He normally wears regular blue jeans, but sometimes has on khaki pants. He basically wears white socks and black shoes with silver streaks on them. His hair is a medium brown color and hands down around his head in "Anime" spikes. His eyes are light blue, and he is slightly tanned. He always wears his silver necklace with half of a gold star on it. Also, he always has on his black and silver watch and fingerless gloves, though he sometimes keeps the gloves off.

Personality: Toren is usually very timid and quiet, shy in other words. He would rather smile and nod then talk a lot. However, he will speak out to voice his opinion or help someone in need. He is loyal to his friends and is very honest and truthful. He can be helpful in tough situations, and will try to do his best at everything he attempts. He looks at the world as just one large library, of sorts. When he's not drawing or playing with his pokemon, he usually dives into some sort of book, whether it be one about fantasy or a biography. Most of the people he knew thought he knew everything there was to know about any subject, but he realizes that he is far from it. There are so many things he wants to learn and know, yet not enough time. If only there was some kind of machine that would let you download facts and information into your brain, yet he knows that technology like that is probably far off from his lifetime.

History: Sorry, don't really feel like making this at the moment. x.X

Scottura, Utami, Closet Geek and .::Tempest::. you have all been accepted. I apologise for my absence but I will have the starter post written up by today (it's 10:17 AM where I live) since we appear to have enough people. I will also update the Character list in my first post for those who will be participating. Just a note: I will be typing the starter posts for both sides of the story, which I will attempt to post either today or tomorrow in the latest. Both starter posts will be in the second person perspective but you do not have to write accordingly. Check my very first post for any details or contact me (private message or e-mail) and I will try to clear up any problems.

Quest/Job: MIA. Not really caring for what he chooses, Mark took the job that was first thrown at him. In this case being "MIA."

    Name: Mark Carnegie

    Age: 16

    Gender: Male

Description: Mark has the appearance of the average teenager; his looks reflecting his life. And his looks aren't that bad at all. He has brown hair and dark eyes, his skin being a dark color for working hard labors outside too much. He would usually be caught with a green tee shirt on and black pants. The only mismatch would be his shoes, which are a dark red color and completely out of place.

Personality: Mark does very well at introducing himself. He is considered outgoing by most, but Mark thinks to himself that the only part of him that is outgoing is the introduction. Everything else, he does by command, if of course the price is right.

History: Mark has had his dark parts of history. He has had the feeling of regret, sorrow, anger, and pain. But over it all, he just says to himself that the more bad things in life that happen to him, the more rewards he gets. So instead of looking down and out on the facts that maybe his best friend died, maybe he departed with a favorite Pokémon, maybe he had it all rough in his childhood, he looks forward to the days to come. (Whoops, this is probably considered personality. XD)

Pokémon: Marowak (Male), Sneasel (Female), Growlithe (Male).

    Quest/Job: Rocket

    Name: Mace Burden

    Age: 17

    Gender: Male

Description: He has short black spikey hair. Mace has brownish black eyes. A Black cape that reaches down to his feet. Mace's uniform is a Redish color and has long sleevs. his pant's are a balckish blue with black shoes.

Personality: Mace can be tempered at sometimes but is mostly calm and happy.

History: Mace is lives alone ever since mace was 15 his Parent's settled in Kanto and his Sister became a trainer in jhoto. Most people stay away from him because they think he is misterious and strange. Mace has never liked that and has always tried to convince them other wise.

    Pokémon:Growlith, Grovyle, Flygon

Random_Fan and Houndoom1, you are both also accepted. We have a fair number of people now so I guess we can begin this RP. I'll kind of cut straight into the main story to make up for the time I've already lost by being absent (sorry about that).

This is the starter post for Rocket characters: You and your accompanying Pokémon Trainers step into the building's lobby to be immediately greeted by a tall young man dressed in a long black coat. A large red 'R' covered his chest.
'Welcome Pokémon Trainers,' he said in a light-hearted tone, a smile forming across his face, 'it appears that Team Rocket is in need of service and you are the few who have answered our call.' The man paused but no one responded. The smile quickly disappeared from his face as he continued speaking in an almost deathly tone. 'We have gathered information that the mayor of the city has been recruiting outside sources, in order to prolong his investigation of our company. His constant interference is beginning to impend our work and we cannot lose anymore time. All of you will be given the appropriate uniforms and accessories that will grant you access to all areas within the building. You will not however, be able to access the below ground laboratories, that is where our most prominent research is being carried out. I am a Rocket Administrator. There will also be five other administrators throughout the complex. We will be extremely busy during this time so do not bother us. If you have any questions you can refer to the reception desk or a number of other employees. That is all.'
The group remained silent as the Rocket Administrator completed his explanation. Two grunts suddenly appeared and began distributing small crates among you and the other Pokémon Trainers. Inside was a folded set of the Team Rocket uniform, an identification card and an access card. You suddenly realise that you were now officially a member of Team Rocket.

This is the starter post for MIA characters: You and your accompanying Pokémon Trainers step into the mayor's office after being instructed by a very proud and also irritable secretary. The mayor is a tall young and well dressed man, obviously breaking the traditional description of a stereotypical mayor.
'Welcome Pokémon Trainers,' he said in a somewhat forced but cheery tone, 'I greet and welcome you all to the fair city of Rooter Creek.' You look around and see many of the other trainers nodding and smiling, apparently smitten by the mayor's charm. He smiled before continuing in a sudden and very serious tone. 'I'm afraid that there has been an increase in the number of reports regarding the whereabouts of the missing or abducted Pokémon. The citizens are becoming restless and I am running out of options. It is apparent that the organisation known as Rocket is safeguarding some sort of device or treasure underneath their headquarters, but the Rooter Creek Police and I were unsuccessful in retrieving any judgemental evidence. We are now unable to further investigate the company due to the lack of evidence we obtained during our first investigation. They are untouchable. That is why I have called all of you here today. Your goal is to infiltrate the company's headquarters and to retrieve any valuable information regarding the location of the missing or abducted Pokémon. Make sure you keep a low profile during your investigation. The last thing we need is for you to go missing as well. You will each receive a small package from my secretary which will provide you with everything you may need to accomplish your task. That being said, all I can do now is wish you luck. That is all.'
The group remained silent as the mayor finished his explanation. Two secretaries suddenly appeared and began distributing small crates among you and the other Pokémon Trainers. Inside were an earpiece microphone and a Rocket access card. You suddenly realise that you are now working directly for the mayor and that the welfare of the city rests in your hands.

You want us to WHAT? Mark thought to himself. This was something he hadn't expected. He had done very big jobs before, but this one was huge. His life depended on this one. This was going to be the most challenging job he had ever taken on. And that was the funny part. He had a choice in taking it or leaving it, and he chose to do so. And now I'm regretting it.

He picked up the earpiece and flipped it around in his hands.

"Well, alright. This should be easy," Mark said. Lie.

Toren listened to the mayor speak, his eyes narrowing when he heard something mentioned about 'infiltrating'. Now, Toren was used to battling and things like that, but he had never experienced what it was like doing this; being a spy, simply. Their job was to gather information about the whereabouts of missing Pokemon. It sounded simple enough, but Toren knew that it would be much more complicated then that.

Well, I'll just have to try. This will be my first chance at proving my worth as a trainer. I must not fail.

Toren cradled the small crate that had been given to him in his gloved hands for a moment before deciding to open it. His glance first traveled to the Rocket access card. It was adorned with the Rocket's trademark: a red 'R' right in the middle. Toren took the card and slipped it into his pocket.

The trainer then took the small earpiece and tucked it away in his other pocket. There was no use in putting it on now; that would wait until they were about to enter into the Rocket hideout. Toren wondered what it was for, though, contacting the other trainers or the mayor?...

Once the grunts left, Akiko looked at the black uniform with the red 'R' on it. She held it up with disgust and turned around to the others. "Ugh... they want us to wear this?" asked Akiko. She sighed and picked up the rest of the uniform inside the crate and swung it against her shoulder. With her free hand, she picked up the cards and put them the uniform pocket. "I guess... I'm going to have to do this..." she muttered under her breath and made sure that the others heard her.

"Well, I guess I'll be heading to the bathroom to change now," said the girl as she turned around to the others. "Uhm... does anybody know where it is?" she asked. She snapped her fingers and laughed that she didn't think of it sooner, "I know! I'll just ask the receptionist!" Akiko ran off to the desk and was directed right. She nodded and said her thanks and paced herself in that direction. Moments later, she came out, freshly in her new attire.

"Looks like I'm a Rocket..." Mace said in a low tone. He smirked for a second then looked down at the Crate. Mace took out the uniform from the crate and sighed. "I hate the fact that they expect me to wear this." Mace said to himself. "Well I'm keeping my cape on." He grasped the unfiform in one hand and was directed to a bathroom.

Later Mace was in the Rocket Uniform with the His cape still on."I dispise this uniform...." He said to himself.

Kali stared at the small crate she now held in her hands. Inside the crate was an earpiece microphone and a card with a bold, red letter "R" printed clearly on the front. This clearly was going to be one of the most challanging tasks that she had ever faced.

(I hope I can do this...) Kali thought. A doubtful expression crossed her face as she stared at the items contained within the crate.

She grabbed the card and the microphone and stuffed them into a small pocket on the side of her backpack. She figured since the mission hadn't officially started yet, she wouldn't be needing the items until later.

Miles felt his hands grasp the crate that had been handed to him. A folded set of the Team Rocket uniform sat neatly inside with two cards lying on top. One card adorned the company's logo while the other one unexpectedly displayed his details.
The administrator who had spoken to them was now gone and Miles saw that several of the other Pokémon Trainers were already preparing themselves for their job. Two of the trainers had already and noticeably changed into their uniforms and were now being directed by the two grunts that had distributed the crates.
Miles decided to also follow suit and adorn his new attire but was intrigued by a small list hanging by the receptionist's desk. It was a list of every floor in the building. The below ground floors were marked also marked by a small red 'R'. Miles remembered that the administrator had said that all floors below ground were restricted to administrators and designated employees only.
By any means, this was now Miles' destination and his next step in finding out what really happened to all the Pokémon in Rooter Creek.

Christine held the box in her hands, staring at the Rocket card and the earpiece. She was still confused about how she'd been dragged into this--she was just going grocery shopping, for goodness sake!

'Smart move, Christine... Let's see you get through this one... Christine thought to herself, sliding the thing into her totebag.

Akiko started to pat the uniform down to let out any dust. "So dirty... can't blame though, been in a crate for a while." She felt in her pocket the card that they had given. She pulled them out and looked at them. "I wonder... where can I go with these cards?" she thought to herself. She sighed and slid into a nearby bench. "I swear... why did I take this job? I don't even live in Rooter Creek..." thought the girl. She gazed at the ceiling slightly lowering her head until focusing her sight on rest of the trainers that took on the task. "I guess I'll introduce myself..." she thought while walking towards them.
