MichaelGermany's Pokémon Portfolio

Hi, all! I'm fairly new to the website and I figured that the best way to make my first steps into the community would be through some artwork, as it's what I want to do in my future. I've recently been putting together my art portfolio for art school, but I can't really use fanart for my application, so I figured it'd be good to share some of my work with people who are familiar with the subject matter and maybe even find some constructive criticism. If you like anything you see, be sure to check out the Redbubble link in my signature and you can consider buying the pieces on stuff. Anyways, here's some of my Pokémon artwork starting from my most recent work to my older work.
*Forewarning: Because some of my work is made specifically for printing, there are some big files that may take some time to load.

I Choose You

A graphic I designed specifically for my Redbubble store. I wanted to create a simple silhouette graphic that sent Pokémon fans back to Kanto where they had the first choice of starters.

Pokémon Berries

Spoiler:

Am 8x8 grid pattern consisting of the most common berries found in the Pokémon universe as well as other competitive and memorable ones.

Route 119

Spoiler:

A digital painting I did of Route 119 in the Hoenn region, one of my favorites. I asked my friend to give me a place in Hoenn to draw, and he said Route 119. I wanted to experiment with backgrounds, lightning, water textures, & rock textures.

Slateport Sunset

Spoiler:

Another digital painting of the Hoenn region. I took the often overlooked lighthouse from Slateport City's docks and created a scene out of it.

Peek-A-Boo

Spoiler:

Inspired by the DexNav functionality of ORAS, I wanted to depict the other end of the Zigzagoon tail you might see poking up from the grass in Petalburg Woods.

Concha, Use Confuse Ray!

The next few pictures are off some of the Pokémon on my file on Omega Ruby. I was really into drawing them out for a while. This is Concha, the shiny Shedinja, using Confuse Ray.

A shiny Darmanitan that I got off of Wonder Trade Wednesday who isn't very great competitively speaking, but I like her anyways.

Forest Training

Again, I was testing with different backgrounds and interesting border effects, Not quite as detailed as Route 119, but the concept is there. My shiny Mawile Li'l M & my shiny Ninjask, Fujibayashi, training in the forest when suddenly Taillows.

Fujibayashi II

Spoiler:

Effectively the twin (clone?) of Concha, this is my shiny Ninjask, named Fujibayashi after a famed ninja, playing with his Focus Sash.

Made around the time I got Painttool Sai on my computer. A Gastly making the typical Gastly pose.

Well the first drawings just cause my Google Chrome to be fully jammed. ( Aw Snap twice).

So far my favorite would be your Fujibayashi one. It looks cute by the way.

The first drawing is so big, it causes my browser to crash/freeze...
Other than that I really like Route 119, Peek-A-Boo and Forest Training.
