I agree with those who feel that microchiping humans would only invade privacy.
Whetherit can be used responsibly or not, it will eventually cut into our privacy if it ever comes in to effect. Whether to track our exact location, or control our access to the world and amenities. Like many things concerned with identity, it will probably get abused by fraudsters and the authorities.
We've survived quite fine for thousands of years without them. If it ever becomes compulsary, that would frighten me.
