While this is mostly a review, it is also a rant. I got the mouse about 24 hours ago, and it is probably the best mouse I have ever used.

Small and light weight, it works great. The click is smooth and quite. The BlueTrack Technology is amazing, it actually works on every surface in my house. I have nothing negitive to say about this mouse. On sale currently at BestBuy for $34.99 (reg 49.99) its a steal and you will think that you bought a mouse that would normally sale for a hundred or more.

Mine, for some odd unapparent reason, has broken. The USB receiver, as small as it is, malfunctioned. It was working perfectly, I get up to do something and my laptop goes into sleep mode, when I come back and wake up the computer, the mouse is not working. I remove the receiver and it is really hot, hot enough that I don't want to keep it in my hand.

I let it cool off a couple of minutes and plug it back into my computer, Windows states that a USB device is has malfunctioned and has been stopped by Windows.

I try it in another computer and get the same message. I am gong to exchange it tomorrow after work. The only problem with that is the store I bought it from is over 40 miles away from home :(

It is a good mouse, and I am sure that I just happen to have gotten a faulty one.

If you bought it from a Best Buy, I'm pretty sure they'll let you return it at any store. (They did for me at least)

Sorry about that mate, stuff just happens.

I live in the middle of nowhere, that is closest Best Buy at 43 miles form my driveway to their parking lot.

I'm not mad at all, I know that things happen, I work in retail I know all about it.

Those nano receivers are very prone to overheating. I've had nothing other than the very results you got with them. If you really want a great mouse just like that one, I'd recommend the Microsoft Bluetrack Explorer Mini Mouse. It retails at around $49.99 which is a little more expensive than the 6000 series mouse at Best Buy. (unfortunately Best Buy doesn't carry this mouse in the store, but Walmart does)

I've had this exact mouse for over a month now and It has yet to hiccup at all on any system I use it one (It even works flawlessly with Mac OS X) The receiver is the size of a small USB drive and never heats up. The extra two buttons on the side are great for navigating back and forth quickly and easily in any browser (you can customise what each button does with the Microsoft® Intellipoint® software included)

I love wireless mice, I just hate one thing about them. Batteries. If you're a heavy user, there's nothing more annoying than having the battery on your mouse go out in the middle of a marathon computing session. Admittedly, rechargeable mice aren't so bad but, if you airhead and forget to charge it, or can't plug it in, you're SOL. XD
