    Can you migrate pokemon from crystal?
     
    No, you can only migrate pokemon from r/s/e or fr/lg
     
    Nope. Only Pokemon from Versions FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. Previous games, like Gold, Silver, Crystal, Red, Blue, and Yellow cannot migrate into Diamond and Pearl.
     
    It would be an awesome idea though if all previous PKMN games could be applicable. =)
     
    the thing is, you could, but it would mean hacking it to get it, because i saw a vid once where someone battled with Johto region pokemon on D/P.
     
    That doesn't mean they have been migrated from G/S/C. There is location data in Diamond and Pearl that says a Pokemon can come from Johto, thats why there is so much hype about Gen II remakes. It would be impossible to trade from Gen II to Gen IV because the data is so different. The same reason why you couldn't trade from Gen II to Gen III and vice versa.

    That's just pokesav hacking. You get the option of which region your hack comes from, including jhoto. It's the main reason people are expecting a GSC remake.

    But yeah, no can do. There are many features back then that do not exist now, and vice versa. For example, EVs and IVs worked very differently back then.
     
    Yea.. those games are pretty old
    made for Gameboy advance x_X
     
    but you can get all of the johto starters in emerald and then migrate to diamond/pearl
    its also possible to get alot of the johto pokemon in emerald
     
    well i would think, if the cartridge obviously doesnt fit, the ds doesnt let old GBA games in it.
