OOC: I hate it when people leave others behind. So you guys go on ahead with the feast when some people haven't been sorted. Nice. I can't post now, I'm at school. I will later.

OOC: Well if you people would actually read for once...then you would know...

IC: Jamie, who had made no friends on the train, could do nothing but sit by himself and gaze at the others. Two girls, in particular, caught his eye. They were sitting at the Gryffindor table.

He just silently watched the two as they talked, Jamie was quite content with watching, never really a big talker.

He soon turned back to his empty plate. "Well...I guess I should at least eat something before we go..." He said half heartedly as he took a slice of ham, and a bake potatoe.

Soon finishing the small meal, Jamie tryed to summon up enough curiage to talk to someone, although he didn't know who.

Taking another glance at the two girls, he took a deep breath and decided to start there.

Cautiously he started walking over to the girls, rehearsing in his mind what he wanted to say.

Upon arriving to the table, Jamie scratched the side of his head, wondering if he should be the first to speak or not.

"Es ist ein guten nach, ja?" He said in his native tongue. "Er...sorry..." He studdered as he realized what he said came out german. "I mean 'tis a good night, yes? It is warm." He said slowly as he pronounced his words, trying not to sound too discomforted by speaking english.

"I am from Germany. My name is Jamie O'neal." He said once again slowly, which to everyone he would have sounded funny. Swallowing hard he continued to address the girls (if you haven't figured out it's Kairi and Chrystal), "What is your name's? Is it okay if I sit down?" He proceeded to point to the seat next to one of the girls.

Ryan ran into the Great Hall, late and everyone was eating. He wasn't here for the sorting ceremonies because he went to Hagrid's Cabin because Xander's wing looked weird and Xander looked like he was in quite a bit of pain. Professor McGonagall let him try on the hat outside of the Great Hall and he wasn't pleased with the results. He saw Crystal and Kairi sitting at the Gryffindor table and felt his stomach sink as he walked over to the Slytherin table. He saw Lavender and Velvet sitting alone towards the end of the table and decided to meet up and eat with them. Atleast he had one friend in his house. Maybe Slytherin wasn't as bad as everyone said. Maybe this was really and blessing in disguise. Of course, the Sorting Hat knew more about him then himself knew, so this was probably the best decision for everyone. Just before he had reentered the Great Hall he remembered what the Sorting Hat had whispered to him where McGonagall could not hear, "You will do great things. Decide your path before someone else does." This quote stayed in his head throughout the feast. He wondered what it could mean.

OOC:I thought you put your house as Gryffindor in the sign-up sheet..Oh well.
IC:"Hi Jamie," said Crystal. "You're welcome to sit by us." Crystal saw Ryan take a seat at the Slytherin table, and wondered what his plan to get their revenge on the bullies was. 'I'll just have to wait and see," she thought to herself.

I ate quickly, wolfing down a rather large quantity of food in a matter of minutes. That was my way, staying at a table too long led to conversation and that was NOT a good thing as far as I was concerned. Afterwards, I didn't bother to saty around, getting up and leaving ahead of everyone else. I waited in a dark corner of the main hall, planning to catch up with the rest of my House as they left the hall. I heard another voice (this one American) nearby say "So you left too, ne?" Looking over, I say another student, dressed in Hogwarts robes and leaaning against the wall. I nodded, deciding he must be an exchange student.

Lavender ate slowly, and once and a while she gave Velvet a small plate of meat, and the black cat ate it without hesitation.
"Is you're cat your only friend?" asked a boy sitting a few seats down from her. "No wonder....freak"
Lavender tried her best to ignore this comment, and didnt say anything. She would have to learn to tolerate these Slytherins no matter what.

"This is so delicious, Miu!" Kairi exclaimed cheerfully as she finished her pumpkin juice. Miu nodded in agreement as Kairi fed her a piece of chicken.

Hearing a boy introducing himself, Kairi raised her head and looked up at him, grinning. "Hey there, Jamie." Kairi said cheerily, waving at him. "I'm Asakura Kairi. I'm from Japan." The half-Japanese, half-British girl continued.

I waited at the table, refusing to eat. For some strange reason i was sorted into Ravenclaw. Not like it mattered to me. Chaos was on my lap as usual, but out of sight, and I could hear the laughing of the people at the Slytherin table as they exchanged what they had read out of my diary...

"Oh wie schon!" Jamie exclaimed out of habit as he turned to Kairi. "Er...I mean...oh how beautiful! What a fine name indeed!" He returned Kairis smile and then turned to look at the others sitting at the table.

Taking off his cloak and setting it beside him, Jamie revealed that he had, indeed, the body of a 10 year old. The cloak that had covered his childish appearance had made him seem older. Now with an equally childish smile he looked at the two girls.

"Sorry if...I...um...what's the word?" He said trying to think of a word to describe what he wanted, after all his english wasn't all that great. "Um...oh yes...sorry if I struggle with the english. I am not good with it."

Jillian watched in amazement as the dishes before her filled with food. She took a bit of the things closest to her and began to eat, picking off bits of food for Honouria.

The black kitten was greatly amused with the whole arrangement. She batted at the sleeves of Brian's robe, attempting to catch his attention, and draw him into a conversation with her overly shy Bond.

Jillian paid no attention to the black fuzzball. She was intent on keeping her eyes from making contact with anyones. She had always been scared to let people grow close to her. People had a tendancy to judge, to hate, to criticize. She was better off alone...

"It's no big deal," Kairi said, flashing Jamie a childish smile as well. "Not everybody knows how to speak english anyway." She continued lightheartedly with slight giggle.

"Ne, Miu?" Miu gave a soft hoot and nodded.

I looked up suddenly, and my eyes locked onto another girl, that owned a black cat, that was currently tryign to get somebody's attention. I refocused on the girl. I didn't even know her, but I was already startign to like her. a faint smile played across my face, and I wondered maybe I can get to know her later...

Jamie nodded chuckling to himself, but not letting it escape his mouth. "I guess so huh? I never cared to speak english. German was all I ever was interested in." He added as a side note. "So sorry if I speak alittle german now and then..."

"Do you play a...um...a..." He said trying to spit out the word, but ended up pretending to play an instrument to try and have them tell him the word. "An instrument...?" He asked.

The boy against the wall seemed somewhat like me...Asocial at the least so he was content with my lack of a better response. We sat against the cold stones in silence, more than happy to just let the other be. Finally, I asked "What House are you in?" He jumped a bit, apparently surprised and said "Me? Oh, I'm in Hufflepuff. You?" I answered a bit haughtily "Ravenclaw." He nodded and fell back into introspection, as did I.

"I'm Crystal," Crystal replied, "from Surrey. Did you know anything about magic before you came? I used to be a daydreamer, constantly wishing magic was real, but once I finally found out that it was real,I was taken by surprise." She was surprised with herself as well. She was slowly getting less shy as the day went on."And I used to play a harp."

Kairi nodded. "Yeah, I play instruments. Let me see, drums, guitar, flute, and piano." She said as she tried to recall if she had played any more instruments. "Mum made me play all those." She continued, rolling her eyes.

She giggled again then looked back at Crystal. "Me too, I used to always pretend I'm a witch, a good witch, and I'd goof around pretending to use magic. Never thought I really was one."
