"I could not help overhearing you all talking about music." He said in his best english.

The girls giggled at the discomfort of Jamie's speech and the difficulty he had with it. The boys just nodded and went back.

"I listen to classical when I'm with my family. And anything from Country to rock, when I'm with my friends." Jamie tryed again.

"Good for you..." One of the guys mumbled as they all shrugged him off.

Jamie's deep blue eyes, and gentle, and childish face seemed to intrance some of the girls into taking notice of him.

When he listened more carefully they were talking about the instruments they played, they seemed to all be in a sort of band.

"Now if only we had a guitarist, then we'd be good. But Dave broke his arm, we need a replacement." A guy, seeming to be the leader, remarked to the group as they all nodded and listened intently.

"I play the guitar well." Jamie said again.

Finally the leader got up and walked over to him. Jamie, who was only 10 was like a dwarf compared to the young man who faced him.

"Meet me after the feast, and we'll see what you got." He said.

"My name is Jamie O'neal." Jamie said nodding as he put his hand out for the guy to shake.

"Mine's Jake." He said with alittle chuckle at Jamie's niave personality, he then returned to what they were talking about.

After the feast, Jamie followed the group of 5 people out of the great hall and away from the group that was going to they're dorms. They quietly made their way to the band room of Hogwarts.

The feast was over and Ryan was stuffed. He noticed some upperclassmen from his house walking towards him. He hoped that they wouldn't be mean to him. "Hey kids, whats your name?" they asked him. "Uhh, Ryan." he said with a smile. "Nice owl. Anyway, look at those Ravenclaw's over there. They have been beating us every year for the past three years in the house competitions and we are sick of it. I overheard a fourth year saying that they were going to pull some prank in our common room tonight, and you don't want that to happen, do you?" Ryan shook his head. "Yeah I figured that." the boy, obvious the leader in the bunch, the rest of his goons were his posse. "Anyway, we are going to get back at them. The reason we came to you is because one of us saw you conjure that fireplace in the train earlier today and that is around fourth level stuff easily. You seem like you know what you're doing and we could use your help. We are going to make those Ravenclaws wish they had never beaten us in the house competition." Ryan just nodded the whole time. He wasn't usually the kind of person to make others feel bad, but this was his home now and these were going to be his family for the next seven years of his life. He decided that he would have to make friends some way or another. "So are you in?" the leader of the group asked him. Ryan thought for a second and then said, "Yeah, I'm in. What's the plan?" The group looked around the whole time making sure no one was in ear distance of hearing them. Everyone had gone up to thier common rooms, so there was no way possible anyone else would have known what they were saying. "This is going to be great!" one of the goons said. And to Ryan, this was going to be great, he had friends now. Maybe Slytherin wasn't such a bad place afterall.

Josh was making his way to the Gryffindor Common Room on the Seventh floor. He had nothing better to do. He felt hanging with the mice he assumed would be in there would be better than staying at the hall doing nothing.
When he came to the tower he heard a boy say to a painting: "Pink and yellow submarines," and went in.
Josh went up to the painting.
"What's the password?" she asked.
"Pink and yellow submarines," Josh said. The painting swung open and Josh entered.

Crystal followed a boy to the Gryffindor Common Room and heard him say,"Pink and yellow submarines," to the portrait of the fat lady. She followed suite, since she was getting bored.

With Velvet in her hands, Lavender followed a big line up to the Slytherin Common Room. There the password was revealed. As the young girl entered the large room, she was surprised. It wasnt all to bad for the Slytherins.
I still despise them... Lavender thought. Velvet lifted her head and purred, rubbing her head against Lavenders arm in understanding.

Jillian noticed everyone leaving the hall, and she scooped up her fuzzy Bondmate.

"We should probably find the common room, Brian," Jillian said, motioning to a prefect gathering up the 1st years. "Seems they'll leave without us if we don't hurry..."

We could still find the dorm you know... I'd pick up on the prefects thoughts and...

Honouria! You know your powers aren't to be used that way! Jillian thought in a chiding way.

The Common Room was nice and cozy. Crystal sat in an armchair by the fire and watched it silently for a while. Then she walked up to the stairs leading to the dormitories, and was unsure of which staircase to take.

Jillian hurried over, watching the prefects steps grow longer. Most of the 1st years were having a hard time keeping up.

Jillian panted slightly as she placed Honouria in her pocket again. After a long time, they reached a painting of a man holding a potion, his glasses were quite thick, and he seemed to be quite smart.

"Password?" he said in an annoyed tone.

"Mimbowingo," the prefect said.

THe portrait of the Genius swung forward to reveal a large, cozy room. Jillian smiled, glad to finally be there.

OOC: Sorry if I was out of line here... but we needed a password, and since Ravenclaw is known for intellegence, I thought it fitting that a genius portrait gaurd the door. It has yet to be said what exactly gaurds the entrance in the books anyways!

Crystal decided to just take a chance and try one. Luckily, she found her things by one of the beds,so she knew this was the right place. She laid in her bed and looked out the window at the beautiful stars, thinking about the day. She stared at her pillow for no reason, her mind wandering as it used to. She heard a sudden startling thud that tore her out of her dreaming, and she looked at the window and saw something outside. It wasn't the stars..

<OOC>Just a quick correction, Mew-chan, Rowling said that one of the suits of armor guards the Ravenclaw common room. Although actually, it might be a painting. All she said was "the knight."<OOC>

As the people filed out of the Great Hall, I quickly said to the boy "I didn't catch your name! I'm Jake, Jake Devins." He replied "Eric Brown. See 'ya tomorrow." I followed my fellow Ravenclaws up and into our common room, a cozy place that reminded me of a good and proper library. I looked around contentedly and for now, sank into one of the comfortable leather armchairs, picking up a difficult-looking spellbook from the table nearby. I doubted I could preform any of the spells themselves, but learning the theory was always a plus. For the first time in a good six years I was, if not happy, content.

OOC: Perhaps I need to reread the series... for the 16th time...

BIC: Jillian smiled as the prefect told them where thier dorms were, and that thier belongings had already been taken up. She raced up the stairs and grabbed her Charms book and wand, running back to the common room and tipping the book open.

She flipped to the middle of the book again, looking at the spell she'd been dying to attempt. She muttered the charm under her breath, and magnificant golden bubbles spewed from the end of her wand. She giggled as Honouria attempted to pop the bubbles.

<OOC>It's not in the books, it was an interview with Rowling.<OOC>

The crumpled form of a red bat lay on the windowsill. "The bane of bat kind..the window," said a voice in Crystal's mind. She quickly opened the window and brought the bat inside.

OOC: WEll then, that makes sense as to why I don't know! XD. Never really did get to keep up with those....

OOC:I'm using italics for mind-talk now.
IC:Are you hurt? Crystal asked the bat. Despite the fact that my everything is broken,I'm fine. he replied sarcastically. Crystal paged through her spellbook, searching for a healing spell, and quickly found one. To her surprise, she actually got it to work.

Kairi noticed almost everyone leaving but stayed for a couple of minutes to finish her food. After taking the last bite out of her meal, she said a silent 'thank you' to no one in particular. She then hopped of her seat and picked up Miu in her arms.

"Miu, the Gryffindor...ummm...pre-prefe-prefect, oh there, prefect, left already!" The ten-year-old girl cried, slightly pouting. "And uncle said that there were passwords needed to get in this room or something like that." She continued as she climbed a few sets of stairs, seven to be exact.

"I think it's in here." She whispered to Miu, walking straight to a portrait of a fat lady in a pink silk dress.

"Password?" She asked in a rather irritated tone. Kairi jumped.

Oh, right...pictures, paintings, mostly everything talk. Remembered that Kairi. She thought, making a mental note. She quickly brushed off her thoughts when the portrait asked her again.

"Err..." She mumbled, rubbing the back of her head. She closed her eyes as an image of a sumbarine appeared in her mind. Oh great... She thought sarcastically.

"Okay, the password is," She started, though she really didn't know what it was. She paused for a while then glanced at the rather fat lady wearing...pink. "Pink and," Then a first year student in Hufflepuff, who was seemingly lost, passed by her; he was wearing his yellow and black robes. "Pink and yellow submarines!"

The portrait swung open and let her through. Kairi could only stare in disbelief. "You mean, I got it right?"

"If not, why would I let you in?"

Kairi laughed nervously, quickly apologized, then sprinted inside the room. She glance at the room and grinned. At least she was with her fellow Gryffindors. She then plopped down on a red couch and patted Miu's head.

"Luck guess, ne Miu?" She asked, gesturing her little password guess just a few minute ago. "Too lucky." She continued placing her hand on her armband again.

The bat flapped around Crystal's bed happily. Yay!My everything's not broken anymore! said the bat to Crystal's mind, squeaking loudly in the real world. SHH!!! she said to him quickly, putting her hand over his mouth. Someone's coming! Crystal winced, hoping the squeaking hadn't been heard.
