Jamie woke up the next morning, ready to meet new people. He had decided that he wasn't going to be so shy, but to make friends and be a bit more outgoing.
Climbing out of bed, Jamie slowly went downstairs, being the first one awake, he didn't know where to go first, so he just sat down on a couch infront of the fire place.
"Someone's an early riser." A familiar yet strange voice came from behind him.
Looking over his shoulders to find the professor from the train, Jamie smiled and giggled slightly. "Yeah, I have never been one to sleep in." He said awkward.
Professor Flickwick sat down beside the young boy and looked into the fire. "Well...I bet you're nervous about your inability, aye?" he said looking at Jamie.
"Er...ja, I am nervous that the other students will laugh at me." He said feeling very sheepish as his face flared up.
"I can help you with that. It's a simple charm and it should do the trick." the professor said getting out his wand. "All you have to do is say 'Langa Mancona' and with a flick of your wand it should fix it right up. Try it."
Jamie took out his wand and looked at the point nervously. "Langa Mancona!" He said with a flick of his wand.
"Well, how did it work?" The professor said eagerly.
Jamie's head began to spin, all the german he had learned and master, seemed nothing more than a memory, and all the words that he once knew in german because english.
"I'd say it worked professor. But will I always be like this? Or is there a way to return back to my normal german speaking self? Cause my parents won't be happy with there boy comin' home speaking entirely english and not knowing any german." Jamie said all at once. He held his hand over his mouth and just stared in astonishment. The charm had actually worked!
"Don't worry, dear boy. It'll wear off every night while you sleep." Professor said patting Jamie's shoulder and then getting up to go to his classroom.
Jamie, with all the new english in his mind. Experimented by muttering words together to see what worked and what didn't. From a person's view, it'd appear that the charm had left him talking to himself.
