Jillian couldn't resist. She noticed a pot of bluebell like flowers in front of her, and she gently tickled the leaves, as her book had told her to do.

THe bells lit up and began to play. A lovely sweet melody spilled from the flower, each bluebell lighting up as it sounded.

"Very good," said the Professor. "Not many 1st years can get the Bellybob plant to play."

"It was nothing. Just a light tickle..." Jillian muttered, blushing.

I was supposed head towards my Transfiguration class, and for the third time today, I felt it worth it. Sliding into the hard desk chair, I pulled out my book anf began cooly going over the notes I'd made after purchasing the hefty tome.

oc: I'm assuming we're making these plants up, since the only one they actually mentioned in teh books was the screaming plants, can't remember their names. :\

ic: I raised an eyebrow in interest. She obviously knew her plants. I reached over to one that looked like a potted weed. I broke off one of the leaves that were deceptively brittle, and a glowing substance began to ooze fromht broken peice. I raised the piece over my head and began to make writing motions. The ooze somehow stuck to the air, leaving glowing text behind. "Ghost Writer's Plant." I explained.

Jillian smiled. "Easy to recognize because of the brittle leaves!" she exclaimed.

OOC" Mandrake. Sorry, I'm a nerd when it comes to the potters.

ic: "Not so easily noticed" I grinned. "The Ghost Writer's Leaves have the general appearance of your garden variety weed. The only thing suggesting that the leaves are breakable like a branch is it's dull sheen and rouch texture. Both are only noticable up close, and since this sort of plant is native only to the dark wood behind the castle,it is an incredibly rare plant to come by."

Jillian blushed. "Perhaps only easy for me..."

Honouria was looking at the writing in the air.

Jillian giggled, apparantly for no reason again.

Jillian got defensive. "I have not disobeyed any rules!" she said sharply. "The book explains it all, and I've bought many extra books. Just booksmarts, that's all!"

Jillian hardly noticed, as she felt her crystal heating up beneath her shirt.

God, I wish there was a way to control this stupid thing... she thought desperatly.

All in good time, young one. a voice answered.

I was gloomy for the rest of the class, thinking quietly about my family history. A famed fortuneteller once said my family would be involved in many great things, but when asked hwo great, she sid we woudl either be a bane to humanity, or a cure to a bane already in existence. Since then, I silently prayed for it to be the second choice. ALthough looking at my parents,I feared it would be the first.

Jillian had also lost herself in thought, about her own life. SHe thought back to her mother, remembering the day HOnouria and the crystal had entered her life...

I wish I could just be normal...

Now now, dear. Normality is not reality. How many times have we had this conversation?

I know, bondmate. But you can't blame me, can you? This is a pretty tall order for a child such as myself...

You're time will come, little one...

Care of Magical Creatures was a class Jillian was looking forward to. She didn't sy anything to Brian on the way to the pasture, however. She was again feeling quite shy.

She looked to her hands and saw her nails had gotten strangely pointy. She gasped and they immediatly went normal. She cast her eyes about, making sure no one had seen.

There were many strange plants in the greenhouse. Crystal watched a plant that had a pale white bulb like a horse's face wiggling around. She was losing interest in it when two bright blue eyes opened on the bulb and the adorable plant looked exactly like the face of a white horse. Crystal carefully reached out to stroke it,and found it to be as furry as a real horse. "The REAL horseradish," commented the proffesor, who had been behind Crystal the whole time.
EDIT:Whoops! We left already!

ooc: NOw I get Jillians problem. But since you probably don't want me ruining it, I'll ask under PMs.

ic: At the pasture, the care of magical creatures teacher was urging the students around. 'Now come take a look at these.' He said. "You won't be finding these little creatures in your textbooks. Not in that volume anyway. These little fellas are Corbars. Little snakes that can spit poison like the best of them, but only if they see you move. Today, we'll be learning how to avoid the acid poison of a Corbar."

This guy has got to be out of his mind! I thought in amazement. Teaching this stuff to first years on their first day!

Jillian smiled. The key words were "not in that textbook". She allowed herself to act suprised. She knew about the corbars, but not how to avoid the poison.

If need be... she thought grimly.

He opened the chest and a large number of the little snakes came out. I tood perfectly still like the teacher told us to, but I could see one student out of the corner or my eye who was looking really nervous. He was shaking in his boots, and I feared he may faint or something of the sort.

ooc: Don't mess with that student. I ahve somethign planned for him.

Yazzie woke up again. He dove upon the snakes, trying to eat them. Crystal's arm darted and grabbed him, furious. Sorry, but I'm hungry.. he muttered.
