Misprinted Zapdos? Or fake card?

This card came in my sealed copy of Pokemon: The Movie 2000 along with a Lugia token. I have always considered myself lucky but that little voice in my head is telling me that the card is fake.

The card is titled Mewtwo and even has his picture but the attacks and descriptions describe Zapdos, not to mention the 550 HP.

    ~Any help is greatly appreciated!~

How could someone go out of their way to replace the picture so well yet leave the card looking so fake?

..Yeah, it's fake. Right down to the second edition stamp to the lower left of the picture of Mewtwo.

It is 100% fake like littlebrother says.

Giveaways include the ridiculously high HP total (only jumbo cards legitimately have HP totals that high), the font that the name is in, the "2nd Edition" stamp (no such stamp exists), and several signs of a legitimate card being mashed together improperly. The set symbol used is the Neo Genesis set symbol, but the HP of Pokemon in that set was black in color, not red. The card itself seems to basically be an altered version of the Base Set 2 Zapdos, based on the collector's number in the corner and the fact that the attacks reference "Zapdos".

Out of curiosity, what kind of store did you buy the movie from? It's highly likely that it was a pirated copy you bought.

While it was quite a while ago, I believe I bought it from either Target or WalMart. What really got me was how it came in a sealed VHS box. That's pretty much the only reason I still had any hope of it being a real card just misprinted. Thanks for the confirmation though. Ha ha, many times I beat my friends with this card! They all hated it but thought the card was pretty cool. I'm gonna have to go get my Charzard back from my cousin on grounds of illegal cards! :classic:

All that trouble just to replace the real card with a terribly fake card. But you are right about the hype of Pokemon cards back then. I really can't believe 12 years have gone by so fast. Nothing was better than the original T.V. series and Pokemon.
