I have noticed there is no Pokemon Ocean Blue or a Pokemon Thunder Yellow.Do you thank they should have made them well I do but i want to here your opinion.

The point of FireRed and LeafGreen was to simply remake a game and fill the missing spots in the National PokeDex. It doesn't really take 3 or 4 games to fulfill that task. I think it's fine the way it is now. It's probably not going to sell very well if they ever do come up with a third installment for Firered and LeafGreen.

Nope. In Japan origonally it was Red and Green, but they changed it to Red and Blue after for the US, and Europe, etc.

Then when the remake was made, they kept it FireRed and LeafGreen.

As for Yellow (which is basically a third installment, like another remake.) There would be no point making a remake of a remake in my opinion.

No, there really isn't a point to having either of them.
Fire Red and Leaf Green, as it has already been stated, were simply created in order to give Pok?mon fans a creative way to obtain the Kanto Pok?mon. What better way to do this than rerelease the original games that carried them?

Having Ocean Blue or Thunder/Lightning Yellow would be a little redundant and I personally don't believe Gamefreak would receive the revenue that they usually expect when creating new Pok?mon games. Sure, the hardcore fans would buy a Yellow remake simply for the sake of nostalgia, however; Blue would be a different story.

What would they do with Blue that would set it apart from the remakes of Green and Red? One has to remember that Red and Green were the original games in the Land of the Rising Sun. Blue was a mail-order game that was released after those two in order to improve upon the graphics and make the puzzles slightly less challenging. When the games were exported to non-Japanese audiences, the games were marketed as Red and Blue. So my question would simply be this, what would they do to make a game like Ocean Blue sell? Change the puzzles, make new sprites?

It is for that simple reason why I do not see remakes of either.
(Plus, Nintendo has stopped developing GBA games...)

The only reason I could hypothetically (it would never actually happen, even the fact that they're not really making GBA games anymore aside) see Nintendo producing a third installment is because that's how they roll with the Pokemon games. Every release comes in twos, then they add the third.

If they WERE (remember hypothetically) to make a third installment it would be of yellow because, of course, that was the third installment originally. Technically. If you exclude blue..but I think they only chose red and blue because they were more "western" (American) lol

My opinion is if they did that they whould have to get more games to complete the pokedex so nintindo whould have made more money its just weird
FireRed and LeafGreen didn't sell very well. It's sales were pretty low comparing to the other games. I highly doubt that a third installment would come anywhere near the other non-remade games (e.g. RSE).

There will not be anymore remakes for the GBA platform. Any further remake will follow Platinum on the DS, unfortunately. That means any remake (GSC or RSE, or with the power of the DS putting both in one is possible) will include the bad 4th Gen battle structure. Those like me that cannot stand the 4th Gen will have to wait a few years to see if GF realized what they did and correct it for a possible 5th Gen. Doubt it since they are only in it for the money and most people who play just buy the game without understanding the big difference the change has brought. I will stay optimistic though.

Yeah. Nintendo pretty much confirmed the end of GBA as we know it by nixing the GBA cartridge slot from the new Nintendo DS system. Too bad, folks.

Still, when Fire Red and Leaf Green came out, I was waiting for a Thunder Yellow, to buy it instead, but alas, to no uvail. I mean, now its redundant to have a Thunder Yellow, unless Ocean Blue and Thunder Yellow took place in the Orange Islands and connected to Fire Red and Leaf Green through the Sevii Islands, now that would be enough to release those two versions.

Blue was just part of a remake to improve the graphics (being marketed here as red and blue instead of red and green ((red and green being the originals)). And a friend of mine made a very valid point to me. There is no thunder yellow because it's heavily based on the early anime. Since the anime has gone a long way since the point where yellow was made, it wouldn't be as popular to people who are just starting to play pokemon, and to others who do, they might not enjoy it as much as they did before.

Well, my opinion on the matter is that they probably should've made a third game - Yellow remake. But the Ocean blue is going a bit far. Just my opinion! The third game is what should be there though, since there is already yellow, crystal, emerald, and now platinum. I personally don't understand why they didn't make a yellow remake. it was an awesome game, too! (yellow was)

while it is pointless i would love a 2nd generation remake. (other than shiny gold)

What I think they should do is start remaking the games with a bit more effort into the graphics. The DS has already shown that it can take astounding graphics, as seen in Final Fantasy IV DS, and the upcoming new Kingdom Hearts sidegame for the DS, it's shown near PS2 graphics on a DS. If Nintendo worked out a way to create some FMV's, and maybe even some voice acting into the games, they would sell really well. Plus, we could finally have an official version 3D game. You'd still be able to name your character and choose it's gender. Obsticals like that can be avoided, like how Final Fantasy X never mentioned Tidus's name, but it was still unnoticable, and Tidus completely kept his character. This, in turn, would create an overall really good story for the Pokemon games, which have always been a bit on the weak side compared to other RPG's. The problem is, Nintendo is lazy, and Pokemon isn't the only series they make. However, Nintendo is owned by Panasonic, and Panasonic would be able to supply Nintendo with some amazing new technology.

We all love classics, especially me, but the fact is if Nintendo doesn't advance themselves in a technically advanced world, they will not be able to make money, and that means no more Pokemon. D:

If they do step up a bit, then It'd be awesome to see a Johto region remake for the DS, or something newer. I know the day's far off, but I can't wait for a Hoenn region remake. Hoenn has and will always be my favorite region, in both the games, and the anime.

yer as every other person has said, there is no point for bringing out 4 remakes instead of 2...

I have to agree with wee187 in that Nintendo hasn't used it's tech to it's greatest potential with the pokemon games. With the announcement that pokemon coliseum would have a 3D game, I was excited, the thought of what they could do with that. Then when it came out I was very let down. I expected wild pokemon walking around you, popping out of the grass, etc, not being in a non pokemon inhabited region having to steal other people's pokemon. Another complaint is the same that I have with yellow, an annoying character following your every move that is difficult to get rid of. Having that in yellow was bad enough, we don't need a DS version of that. If there is going to be another remake it will most likely be a gold/silver remake which I personally am really hoping for as Johto was my favorite region/storyline. It'll be years though before that happens, I'm sure.

I would have really like a yellow remake, or at least the feature where a pokemon can follow behind you the whole game. I would say that was a huge selling point and probably the reason Pokemon Yellow has a place in the Guiness Book of world records for a handheld game selling 1 million copies the fastest (7 days if I remember correctly).

Yellow is my all time favorite pokemon game (yes, even including the latest generations) partly because I was watching the animated series when it came out and partly because I think the new pokemon get more ridiculous every generation. They're looks and pokedex entries just get wilder and wilder and I don't particularly like it. I had a very hard time in Diamond because I just didn't really like enough of the new pokemon to make a full team that was well diversed and I wasn't allowed to get any of my favorite pokemon until after I had finished most of the game.

I have a special place in my heart for the pokemon of the first generation and really wish that in future pokemon games, they stop limiting when you can obtain your favorite pokemon. I think that's a turnoff even to the most hardcore of pokemon fans.

AND the fact that there are soo many pokemont that can't be captured except thru special events isn't a fun factor, but more like an annoyance.

    But that's just me . . .

Well I wish they made a thunder yellow to be the 3rd version for firered and leafgreen, but nah nintendo couldn't do that... :[
