Do U guys think Misty will return after the whole battle frontier season?

Some people say no and that the writers got rid of her for a reason but I say yes because Misty's bound to return sometime. I have a feeling she may make an indirect entry if you know what I mean.

i think she will at some parts...like with her and may

i hope she does cause brock came back when he left so maybe may and max will go back to petalburg and misty will return maybe even tracey could possibly return but i think that's unlikely

ya...i agree coz misty went away in some episodes, when she was incharge of the cerulean gym, but then she came back

She did return at the start of the Battle Frontier, but otherwise I think she'll just be relegated to guest spots throughout the series or until they do the Special Episodes again. Otherwise, it's like CC said, she's rotated out.

Besides, you had 5 years of her, isn't that enough? I don't mind the change of pace and the change in status quo myself.

5 years isn't enough misty she must return!!!!

Well nope, having her again is just a pain in the neck x.x

Besides, she is better in the Hosou/Special episodes.

And? If May and Max leave that doesn't means that Misty is forced to come back >_> other girl, (like the Pok?mon Ranger girl or Blue) might appear.

Eithers, having the same history with Ash is... boring, i mean, we need to make other history with other character, seeing the same guy making a lot of stuff just to lose a league, is boring -_-.

My god I love that red head, and hate may, but I want them to SCRAP ASH!, hes had a good run, but we need a new protagonist, cause to alot of people, hes become an antagonist, a new face, he should have ended at the end of indigo league, but I forget they dont make them to game, wish they would though

I hope so, because I'm in dire need to see Misty, in such a long time I haven't seen her in episodes.

Dang it people, if you are in dire need to see Misty again, watch the re-runs in your respecting country's TV stations! She soonest she's coming back is either during or after the Battle Frontier, so hold your horses. Though, she may not appear again until after the Battle Frontier is though.

You know they can't take Ash/Satoshi out of the series. He's the hero. That, and the character's name comes from the creator's name, Satoshi Tajiri. Taking Ash/Satoshi out is like taking Pikachu away from Pok?mon! (actually, if you take either away, the other is sure to follow...)

Realize this is a children's show. Don't expect dramatic changes such as that.

And don't hate. If you don't like a character, just don't pay any attention to them.

I love for Misty to come back and I not a big fan of May but thing seems to be fine right now.

I mean why will you need Misty to come back. Recently they just gave here that Azurill also known as Togippi's repalcement. Why did they gave here that I have no idea. I want Misty to come back but she needs a reason to come back. Not just play background with some little back ground. The only good thing about May is that she does contests. Misty....holder of the baby pokemon, Brock ear puller and yeller at Ash. RIght now most of those positions are taken. I don't think She wil be coming back soon. Unless she because Ash's love intrest which may not happen because of the shows maturity level.

Love to see Misty to return during the Battle Fourntier but if it going to be like those three episodes then no. Let her enjoy the respect she has.

Sorry, my country does no longer air Pokemon. I dunno why, but because of that I wasn't able to watch Misty for like 3 seasons. And please make a good approach, I feel offended with the post you made.

Sorry about that, hangad_bukaspalad. I didn't mean to offend anybody. It's just that others constantly whine about why Misty's gone and when's she coming back.

Man, I'm suprised that anyone would take Pok?mon off the air permanently...

Well, if you really want to see Misty, you could try finding episodes online. Sorry if you have dial-up, but if that's the case, it could be the only choice you got. Hey, if you have dial-up, and your friends have broadband, either tell them to download the episodes or kick them off and do it yourself.

I hope misty comes back. I also hope may stays, she''s cute.

May + misty would be a good connection. I want to see how they interact with each other outside the two togepi episodes.

Actually, dqle, most people in America don't even have access to the older episodes. With Kids WB constantly looping the last season of Johto and the AG episodes and Cartoon Network relegated to one episode or so a week (also last season of Johto, shown in order as episodes are "new" to CN). It seems no one is willing to pay for the rights to the old epsiodes anymore because of an odd collective notion of their outdatedness, probably because the network CEOs have the same amnesia regarding the early seasons that most fans have.

But that's an entirely different debate.

To be blunt, no, Misty is never coming back. Marketing companies sell flash-in-the-pan items and ideas about the show to children with no memory and no attention span, no time for "ancient" history, children hate what they don't understand, especially what they don't even remember. It's all about the torch being past, whether the old and devoted fans who poured the blood, sweat, and tears of fandom into making the foundations of what exists today are tearing their robes and cursing the sky at the decision or not. It's all about demographics, all about mascots, personality and individuality are secondary if not nonexistent. An individual has no place in a show that's lost its soul, and an individual cannot return what was lost by their prolonged and unjust absence.

And I have an extensive thesis, but these threads tend to be populated by people who don't appreciate other viewpoints on the anime so I'll silence myself now.

I forgot to add in some cost factors...

Too bad CN is the only station that re-airs old episodes in the US (that I can think of) 'cause I don't like them anymore.

Now that I think about it, I haven't seen episodes on most comedic/cartoon shows that's older than 4 years very often. (unless it was a smash hit in the past and/or currently cancelled) Stations really don't like old shows, do they?

Eh? If you're refering to me, I'd be willing to listen. (I don't like flaming. Flaming is bad) Seeing others' viewpoints helps me understand the situation better, and may even strengthen my own.

Of course, this thread isn't the place to do it...

If Misty doesn't come back, I will be convinced that the writers took the idea off of the bsc becuase my favorite member left there and she never came back >:<. Even though I highly doubt that would ever happen.
    Old episodes? coughbittorrentcough
And if Misty really doesn't come back, I may do just the same, start my own series on Pokemon taking their adventures to another level but keeping track of the anime to see if I'm about to miss out on anything
I say, keep in your faith about Misty coming back, you fans and believers! If she doesn't she's a stinking traitor!
*has been at the bsc forums too much*

I just wish CN would bring back the first season of pok?mon if no other seasons; it almost seems like stations are forced into an all-or-nothing deal as far as episode purchasing is concerned. Because of their partnership with Kids WB I think that CN gets episodes that WB still has exclusive rights to for cheaper, and that's why they even bother to run their weekly installment now (they're inching up on the final episodes of Johto as far as I know.) Unfortunately anything classic they try to air every day tends to fail, I suppose I can blame this on the attention span of youngsters as well, as they tend to enjoy stories that have no connection from episode to episode instead of being forced to keep with an ongoing saga. DBZ, Pok?mon, Yu-Gi-Oh (not counting G-*twitch*-X) all have died quickly in evening slots after being brought back, and tend to be replaced with things like Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Code Lyoko, Courage the Cowardly Dog, etc; things that appeal to children whose attention can only be gripped by constant action/cheap slapstick/etc; basically anything that clashes with a storytelling anime.

You're right about many networks forgoing their more classic programming for shows that saw more instant popularity than those that had small but devoted fanbases. Note such quality older shows such as Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, and The Angry Beavers on Nickelodeon being swept into the dark corners of Nicktoons TV, the complete purge of Invader Zim from any of Nick's lesser siblings, with nothing left but the complete and utter pimping of Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents on the main channel, basically only things that work well with marketing. It all goes back to money; as childrens' programming channels have a perfect system to work with. Kids will watch anything, yet kids still have preferences, and kids are loaded with money and easily manipulated by commercialism. Basically, it yields maximum profit with minimal outcry to keep the children interested in their favorites while getting rid of anything else.

No, no, I wasn't directing this at you, I know you have the full scope as a veteran and can see both sides of the argument.

Indeed this isn't the place to do it. No offense to anyone else in this thread, but the Misty vs. May debates tend to be hornets' nests of n00bs and are loaded with irrationality and poorly-constructed ideas.

...If Misty was going to come back, then she should have already...at least as far as the plot goes...I mean, the only reason that she left in the first place (at least in America) was because her sisters were forcing her to run the Gym, but then a few episodes ago there was a character who had a flashback that implied her sisters were already back...so, as much as I HATE to admit it, she might not be coming back as a permanent character...
