Yes the Indians have offense, but do they even have a defense? I watched the Twins take advantage of all the horrific errors the Indians outfield made...it was tough to watch but hey we won 2 out of 3.
However I think the Twins will drop either Santana or Jones...it will be a tough move but hey the Twins do something stupid like that every year and they still do fanatastic every year...and hey look at our scouting ability.
Ug, he's just so, so awful. You're number-three hitter shouldn't ground out with the bases loaded. It just doesn't work that way.
What needs to happen, i think, is that he should be moved to the two-spot, have Wright hit third, Floyd fourth, and backup Floyd with Matsui (with the way he's been hitting, it's a chance to take).
and awful awful move, no disrespect to IVAN team the mariners but is just like adian beltre he has one amazing year next year the sign him to a big contract and does,t produce that an example of beltran
Beltran also had knee problem early in the year, which didn't help, but at this point he should be able to drive in a run with one out and a man on third.
But yeah, big contracts are like foreshadowing of a let-down.
I'm trusting the staff during the offseason to get their hands on one more good hitter and a closer. Then, next season, I think we'd have a really good shot.
Braden Looper is just a little worse than Beltran ><
