Introduction:
Pixelmon Obsidian Online is a series of Minecraft servers that use the Pixelmon and CustomNPCs mods to create unique worlds populated with hundreds of pokemon to battle and collect and as well as tons NPCs to meet.

Pixelmon is a mod by MrMasochism. This mod adds hundreds of Pokemon to Minecraft. It features a fully functional battle system, stats, IVs & EVs, Trading, a working Pokedex and much more.

CustomNPCs is a mod by Noppes. It adds customizable npcs. This mod adds quests, factions, and allows me to tell my story.

Story so far:

After the events of Chapter one, you leave Satchel Island through the archway under the Obsidian Monument. After spending an undetermined amout of time in a void, you suddenly feel the warmth of sunlight and a rush of wind. You see a green field rushing toward you before all goes black again.

Waking in a strange bed, you learn that you are in Pinnela, a town in the Opalia Region. You also learn that you are not the only one who has appeared out of thin air. It appears that some of your friends from Satchel have made it through as well. Before you have a chance to ask more questions you are rushed off to meet the Professor. Apparently the man in charge of Pinnela and hopefully someone who can give you some answers.

About the Opalia Region:

We have been working on this map for over two years. We are trying to bring you a truly immersive pokemon experience. We have hand placed everything on this map including over 150 hidden pokeloot, more than 50 quests, and much more!

*coming soon*Our map features more to do that just grind pokemon though. You can battle other players in multiple PVP arenas with various game types to earn money for those hard to find pokemon items. We also have non-PVP games like Paint War, Spleef, Chess, and more!

We have put together a compelling story for our map. No rip-offs of pokemon games here! The Opalia Region is a unique place to explore with a main quest that will take around 25 hours to complete(not including all the sidequests and extras we have snuck in there). The main quest has multiple branches that you can take. Your decisions will matter and grant you access to different quests, rare items, and even rare pokemon based on how you choose to interact with NPCs.#

Our goal is to make a server that plays like a real video game. We have modeled our server after 90's era squaresoft games...you know....the good old days! :P Our Server isn't out to turn a profit. It is about making something people can enjoy. Its all about the passion for creation.

What I need help with:

*I will help anyone to learn the systems I use as long as you are willing to learn. They are not hard, and if you have used a RPG making tool then you will feel right at home. Also because I'm a 1st gen pokemon fan(nice way of saying I'm old) you must be at least 16 years old to apply. No offense to the little kids, but we use voice chat while we work so....no...just no. :P*

-Writing fun and interesting sidequests While I have the main quest in order, sidequests have taken a back seat.

-Writing short pokemon themed stories Similar to the lore books in the elder scrolls series, I am trying to fill the nooks and crannies with hidden lore and pokemon themed books. These can be poems, haikus, short stories, or whatever. Each book will have the author's name on the front so people will know who wrote what.

-Designing Pokemon Trainers What world a pokemon world be without random strangers coming out of the woodwork to battle you while you are minding your own business? Needs to have above average pokemon knowledge including stats, moves and types. Each trainer can have up to 6 pokemon and each pokemon will need to be assigned a move set. This is one of the bigger jobs due to the sheer number of trainers needed on such a big map. There are several positions available for this job.

-Youtubers! Anyone is welcome to let's play or review the server. Its not about the advertizing, it would be a huge joy for me to see people try to figure out the quests and puzzles, experience the main quest and try to become the best Trainer on the server.
